I returned my $86 dollar purchase because NATALIE did not want to listen to how I was ignored by one of the workers. She said the worker was SHY. I am sorry but at work we do training and teach workers to take initiative to help customers and not just stand there staring out into space; that is not shy that is not paying attention and working. Instead of listening to my experience she wanted to argue and call me mean. Natalie shame on you for not training workers for taking initiative, for not listening to the customer's experience. And to top it off you told me that you did not want me back to Michael's and you were glad that Michael's did not get my money. I will be sure to let the corporate office know and I will never continue participating in craft nights or any other store activity at Michael's Natalie when a customer is upset for being ignored while other customers are being looked at and spoken to, you are supposed to try and understand why....not defend the behavior and call it shyness. A worker who intentionally ignores me is strange....I begin to wonder if it was because I was Black because she didn't seem shy talking to the person right in front of ME!!!!!! Was in Chico recently and checked out the Made in Chico store for some souvenirs to bring back…read more This was unlike any other [Your favorite city] Store. This place was huge compared to the other stores in downtown. It was filled with locally-made items and food from the area and county. There were so many unique gifts and items here. We spent over an hour in the store browsing! My friend and I spent over 5 minutes talking to Patty in the food section listening to her talk about each vendor she personally worked with and knew. You could hear the passion in her voice when describing each item. The scones mix, she explained, took the chef over a year to perfect, the hot sauces, she knew every little detail. She was so knowledgeable and welcoming. In fact, all the employees we interacted with were so helpful. I've had Lundberg organic brown rice many times as they used to carry it at my Costco but I had no idea they made rice chips. One of the other employees said she went to high school with the Lundberg's kids! There were so many things I wanted to bring back home but couldn't. It will just warrant another trip up to Chico in the near future! Thank you to the staff here for making us feel so welcome on our first visit ever to Chico!

Beautiful tree lined street, gorgeous building. This is where they do all their printing and there are several beautiful printing presses. I love that vibe. The store carries all of their card designs and some other knick knacks and gift items. A good place to find a unique gift and a gorgeous card. If you don't like glass items you will be bored. We were not bored for a second. What we really loved was the man who may be the owner who knows everything about hand blown glass. I love glass vases. They also have glass nick knacks, not for me, but maybe you. Orient & Flume produces fine art glass. All their work is signed. They have iridescent and crystal clear glass. The vases are stunning. Take care of them, they are expensive. Nationally acclaimed for its excellence in design since 1972, they have won some awards and may even be in a gallery or two, I am not sure. I just know that the service was great. I got a wonderful vase and am a happy camper.
