The staff at star nails was just so wonderful. During my session I got sick out of no where and they moved me to a seat closer to the AC, engaged with me, gave me mints to calm my stomach and just overall wow. I will 100% go back because this service was beyond just getting my nails done. This staff who's what makes people willing to come back, spend a lot of money, and actually enjoy some me time. I came here today for my first appointment and consultation ever. Without a doubt FIVE STARS!!! I'll admit, I was hesitant to the process at first but I came to realize that was only because I knew so little about it. After not even 10 minutes of talking to Mimi I was sold! She happily and very intelligently answered any questions I had and removed all hesitations that I walked in with. The place is incredibly calming and serene, from the relaxing music to the cleanliness of the atmosphere and store. The room was spotless and I laid on a comfortable little bed while getting my underarms done. They made me feel so good and comfortable about myself and the treatments the entire time I was there. I've only ever done waxing before for hair removal and this place blew me away. SO much cleaner than any waxing facility I've ever gone too and the people just know how to make you feel welcomed and warm. I'm so excited to come back for my second appointment I am just blown away by this place I had no idea I would love laser hair removal as much as I can say I do now. Sure, it doesn't feel like I'm on cloud nine being zapped by a laser but it is so not what i expected and these people made me feel so comfortable. I am recommending this place to all my friends and family members and I'm bringing my mom here next week for a consultation because i know she's going to love what she hears and sees just as much as I did! All in all I can say this place has insanely good customer service and are really very good at what they do. I can tell all technicians are passionate about their jobs and that makes me feel much better getting treated by them because i know we both want the same thing; amazing results! I will never go back to waxing and I will never switch where I get my laser hair removal done. Mimi is amazing and now is stuck being my laser technician forever. When I first came here almost 2 years ago, everyone was so nice and courteous. I was asked to write a review if I liked them and I'd get 2 small areas for free. So of course I did my review especially because I really did like them. After my review, I received a message thanking me for the review and that my free 2 small areas were added into my account. I stopped going for awhile because life just got a little hectic. Fast forward to 2 months ago, I made an appointment for May 31. I still had 1 small area & 1 large area that I had paid for the year before plus the 2 free small areas. When I arrived I was told that because my review on yelp was done a year prior, it doesn't show up anymore so I no longer had the 2 free small areas that they gave me. I'd have to do another review on google to get them back. That was strike 1. Strike 2 was that when I called to make this appointment I specifically asked for Yvette whom had done all of my other previous sessions. I was told yes. When I got called into the room, another woman was my technician. No one gave me a heads up. Luckily for them, this woman was so nice and made sure I was comfortable, so I didn't make a big fuss about it. I then went to the front desk and decided to buy 1 more large area just because my technician was so courteous ( I don't remember her name because I was so annoyed at that point. Sorry). The receptionist tells me they have a promo going for 2 large areas. I told her I couldn't pay that right now so I'd only buy 1 at $129. I payed for it, made my next appointment and left. The next morning, I woke up to an email from Satori Laser offering discount pricing for the month of June. The session that I had just payed for 12 hours before was $20 cheaper. As a customer that has paid a lot of money for 9 months worth of sessions, came back and has referred many people to them, you would think that the receptionist would say "Hey, next months specials are coming out soon, wait to buy your new sessions" But no, no type of customer curtesy at all this time around. Strike 3. So, I really wish that my technician this time around worked somewhere else because I would definitely go back to her. But Satori Laser, your customer service was horrible. read more

I was struggling a some hair under my chin and around my jaw line that was coarse and frankly unattractive. I had been wanting to get laser hair removal done but hesitated out of fear that there was a possibility that the laser wouldn't work for my dark skin. After a year of plucking and frustration at my inability to make the skin where the hair was growing look smooth and hairless. I finally bit the bullet and booked an appointment. When I arrived at Satori I was pleasantly surprised at how the salon looked. Chic in it's all white decor, I was greeted by a really nice woman at the front desk. After answering a few questions, I sat and waited for a few minutes and then I was greeted by my laser technician. She answered every question that I had and we proceeded to do my first session. That first experiance was wonderful. But it was my subsequent experiences with technician Julia that have really made my time at Satori amazing! It was by chance that I couldnt make my second appointment and had to reschedule and because of that I was able to meet Julia. Julia is really one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She explained the process to me with such depth and took care to make sure I was feeling okay while I was undergoing the laser. Not only that but shes also been a huge help in terms of helping me with my skin. When I expressed concerns about my skin (I've struggled with acne) Julia gave me a couple of suggestions that I could do and my skin has greatly improved. And that's one of the best things about Julia, yes she's amazing at her job but she also make you feel so welcome when you're around her. There's never a moment when I'm feeling uncomfortable. All the staff at Satori are amazing from everyone at the front desk to all the technicians but especially Julia. I'm extremely disappointed by the continued lack of accountability and professionalism shown by Satori Laser. Not only have I yet to receive a sincere apology for the neglectful and discriminatory treatment I experienced, but the manager continues to respond with lies rather than integrity. Let me clarify the facts: 1. I was treated by Andrea only once, on August 7, 2024 -- not "multiple" times, as falsely claimed. Her poor attitude and careless handling led me to switch technicians immediately after that appointment. I still tipped her out of courtesy, despite the experience. Are you now falsifying client records? 2. My complaint was never about being offered a beverage -- it was about discrimination and lack of respect. Even when I brought up the issue during checkout, the staff continued to give me attitude instead of taking responsibility. 3. Please feel free to check your security footage from that morning -- there were two front desk employees present, neither of whom were on the phone when I walked in. That's another false narrative. 4. I'm requesting that the remaining services I paid for be transferred to the Great Neck location. 5. Most importantly, all I ever wanted was a sincere, responsible apology from your front desk staff. Instead, you only reached out after I left a review, and then chose to ghost me without any follow-up or resolution. That is not how a responsible business operates. I will be reporting this to all sources. I do not and will not tolerate a business that responds to valid concerns with lies, dismissiveness, and discriminatory behavior. read more

This is my first Yelp review - woo hoo! I went to Satori for my Brazilian laser. I was SO unbelievably nervous before my appointment. As soon as I stepped in I felt relaxed. Very welcoming place. It is also very clean, which is extremely important to me. I felt at ease right away. The receptionist was friendly. I got there about 1/2 hour before my appointment and they were able to take me in right away. The Aesthetician who took care of me was Evelin. She is such a sweetheart. I told her that it was my first time getting a Brazilian laser and that I was extremely nervous. She made me feel comfortable immediately. She was so professional and explained everything to me before and during. She is very knowledgeable. I liked that she made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen.She did a great job and was thorough. Thank you, Evelin!!! :-) I'm not going to lie--laser hurts, but this experience was definitely A WHOLE LOT less painful than I had expected--and this is coming from someone who has a very low tolerance for pain. I seriously thought I'd be crying in there. LOL! :) Finding the right place with great staff is truly key. I can't imagine going anywhere else. I will absolutely be returning to Satori Laser. I've been contemplating laser hair removal for years now, and I finally went in for my free consultation last week. I called first, and whoever I spoke to was so friendly and informative. When I went in for my appointment, the place was immaculate and the staff was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. I went in with Evelin, who explained the procedure to me, answered any questions and listened to my concerns. She was SO nice, friendly and approachable. She helped me decide what areas to start with and she helped me figure out the best price. Evelin was the one who actually treated me and she was so quick and the procedure was painless. I haven't been able to gage results yet since I just went in for my first treatment last week, but I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try laser hair removal based on the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the place itself. I've been a loyal customer here for over a year, always had great experiences--until now. My last visit was a total letdown. Walked in, and the front desk lady, Andre (who later claimed to be the manager after I confronted her discriminatory behavior) completely ignored me. No greeting, no acknowledgment--nothing. Had to check myself in while she acted like I wasn't even there. Then, just a minute later, a white customer walks in, and Andre's all smiles and welcomes her warmly, confirming her appointment and offering water or coffee. Seriously? The difference in treatment was like night and day. It felt downright discriminatory. I've been to several Satori locations and always received top-notch, professional service. To be treated like this, especially by someone claiming to be the manager, speaks volumes about how poorly this place is run. If you don't want to risk facing discrimination, I'd suggest avoiding this location. There are plenty of other Satori spots on Long Island where the staff knows how to treat customers right. read more

I have to say that this place is AMAZING! The staff is well informed, and I mean they know what they are doing, the facility is immaculate, one of the cleanest places I have ever been to. The technicians are friendly and despite whatever you are getting done, they maintain a cheerful and friendly interaction with you. The prices are fair and they usually have a discount every month so you can purchase in bulk if you want. Although, laser is more expensive than waxing or shaving it is worth it, I have noticed a slowing in my hair growth and I had constant ingrown hairs when I shaved. However, with the laser, the hair falls right out and I know that the treatments are working. I look forward to being completely hairless! The process is quick and depending on your pain threshold it isn't unbearable. Overall, I give Satori Laser a 5! I've been visiting Satori Laser in Hicksville since last summer and I would recommend them to everyone! Friendly staff, always very clean and hygienic and they have great prices/deals. During the pandemic they have been taking all the necessary precautions and I feel comfortable and safe during my visits. It's quick, clean and contact less as much as possible. From my very first consultation onwards I have always been treated by Lana and she is phenomenal! She is so patient and understanding to everyone's comfort and needs. Always extremely informative about your pre and post laser session care and she makes me feel so comfortable. I always make sure to go in on the days she's available! Today was my first time at Satori Laser. The atmosphere was beautifully decorated and super clean! The receptionist was very professional and greeted us as soon as we walked in which gave a good first impression. My laser technician Stephanie made me feel so comfortable. Before my first treatment, she sat us down and went over EVERYTHING there is to know when receiving laser treatments. I really liked this because I want my hair removal to LAST! She even gave me a card of all the after-care directions which I LOVED because I definitely would forget. I could tell she was very knowledgeable and cared about her clients. Even during the treatment, she told me what to do to help me with some of the discomfort from the laser which really helped a lot & calmed my nerves. The treatment was quick and almost painless. Satori laser in Hicksville is my new go-to spa! I had the pleasure of receiving a consult with Andrea who is an Esthetician on sight. Since my consult, I've had two laser sessions with Andrea and I cannot wait for my next appointment. Andrea is professional, knowledgeable and very personable. She made me feel so comfortable and the sessions have been painless and relatively quick! I am very impressed with the results thus far and I am so glad my waxing and shaving days are over! Lastly, I want to thank the owners and management for running a very tight ship. The equipment used, along with the spa's layout out deserves 5 stars. I came in for an appointment, where I was told that it was actually booked for the following month - it certainly was not. "Luckily," they were able to take me however. When I asked Evelyn (the receptionist), about booking the next session in person, so that the miscommunication does not happen again, she seemed unhappy. I then asked who my technician would be, and she mumbled the name under her breath, so of course I asked again. The receptionist seemed unhappy that she had to repeat herself. With this sort of "Welcome," I would have scared me off, but luckily the technician came out, and was amazing! Mimi was patient, kind, and honest. She made the experience of laser painless and effortless. I only want her to be my tech from now on! Will update in a month with the effects of the laser. :) read more

I have been coming to Satori for a few months now and won't go anywhere else! The place is very clean, I never have to wait for my appointment and the treatments are fast and easy. I've had a few different women do my treatments, all of which were very nice and did a good job, but I found Stephanie to be the most thorough and will continue making appointments with her. As for results, I am very pleased with them. I have had 2 areas of my body done and within 2 weeks of the first treatments I immediately noticed a difference. The hair is much lighter, thinner and as I do more treatments less and less grows back. Lastly, I think the pricing is very fair and they are always running deals and promotions so I've never paid full price. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Going to Satori has been a life changing experience for me. The process was simple from the very beginning when I had my first consultation and all of the information I needed was shared with me. I felt like the staff was able to understand my goals, and guide me toward which services would be best for me. Crystal is always helpful, kind and friendly when ever I come in for an appointment. Julia is wonderful to work with and knows exactly how to make you feel comfortable. She does a great job, and continues to advise on how to best achieve my goals. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is, and the level of care they show to make every experience I have at Satori a great one. I've been coming to Satori for almost a year now and have seen significant reduction in hair growth!!! My hair is barely growing anymore and I now have very fine hair. Before I started laser I had very course hair so I am very happy with how it has been going. Despite the fact that it's a very long process it's definitely worth it! I've had the same esthetician, Julia throughout my whole journey and I have to say she is amazing and super friendly. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to get laser. My daughter and I were referred by an employee. When we arrived here we were welcomed by Kelsey B. She was very pleasant. While we waited we we offered water. I observed Kelsey, while we waited and she was professional when answering the phone, then I was impressed that she would clean and wipe things down. Another worker Lana, introduced herself and said she'd be with us shortly as she needed to sanitize before my daughter went in. Lana, was professional, asked questions to understand my daughters life style to be able recommend other services and focus on what she went in for. Overall they were fast, accurate and friendly. I purchased a package on Groupon and I am happy I did. I have completed three sessions and I am beyond happy. Not only do I see a difference but the staff is great. I have not seen the same person at every appointment and I am okay with it because I have not had a problem, everyone at the office is friendly and knowledgeable. The staff is accommodating with schedule changes and when you go in their is never a long wait. I used to get laser at a dermatologist office and it was painful and I didn't see much of a difference, here the lasers do not hurt and the hair hasn't really returned as much as I thought it would (I'm only 3 sessions in and I know it takes about 6 to not get any back) I would recommend Satori! read more

I've had the most amazing experience with the service and staff. At my initial consult and every visit after they stress your before and after care for the best results. I started my treatment in July 2020, and I am impressed that just after my 1st treatment, I didn't have to shave my underarms or my chin (the services I have performed on me), and as time goes it it just gets better, especially my underarm area. For women that do need the chin extension done because of hair grown, I must say ut helps with break outs as well. Before I used to tweeze which left me with these nasty breakout, but that is no longer. There service is amazing and the education they provide is beyond extraordinary. read more

I heard from a friend that they were giving away free underarm treatments from sept 1 to sept 7 so i decided to stop by and check it out. once i got there, i saw how beautiful and spacious the place was and felt really comfortable. the receptionist and the technicians were so nice and helpful. i was able to get my underarm treatment on the spot and i never felt like they were pushing me to buy anything! the treatment itself was very quick and not painful at all; totally unexpected for me! my underarm felt so smooth and clean afterwards. i can't wait to not have to shave! I've been coming to Satori Laser for a few years now, originally at their Lexington location and now here in Hicksville. I can say both locations have consistency in service, efficiency and care. Amy currently takes care of me and she's honestly the best! She explains what she's doing throughout the service and makes sure I'm comfortable the entire time I'm in her care. I always tell everyone I know if they need a good laser technician, they need to see her! She is so sweet and always checks in to see how each session has been from the last.
