I was a walk-in and Alex was able to take me right away. She was very gentle and kept the conversation going which helped distract me. It was super fast and not as painful as I had anticipated. Everyone in the shop was friendly and outgoing which is always appreciated. The shop is clean and has great energy. Totally recommend Alex at Satori Tattoo in Loveland. I currently have 14 tattoos including many large pieces and this was one of the easiest and fastest tattoos I've received. Pricing is very reasonable and on par with other shops I've been to. I have been here for everything from Friday the 13 flash specials, walk-in bigger pieces I pulled from my brain, to even fixing some old piercings! Each and every experience here has been awesome and comfortable! Tyler Lathrop truly blew me away with his customer service and his work! He created a comfortable environment where I felt seen, heard, and very well communicated with! Tyler not only gets stoked with you but makes sure you are physically and mentally doing okay! Not to mention he absolutely killed the piece he did! Literally went back one week later to get another walk-in and Kyra (I believe is her name, I think she's an apprentice and she's amazing, truly can't wait to see what all she does here) greeted me like an old pal and made sure I was taken care of! Alex Kilmecki absolutely solidified for me that this shop is my home and I won't be going anywhere else! He was so much fun and was not only pumped to make sure I loved what I was getting, but made the entire experience super fun and exciting! He helped me with ear piercings I had to get redone because they were originally pierced by a teenage idiot (me). I had a second session on my forearm yesterday with Russell- I spent about 5 hours at Satori and highly recommend! It's a bit of a drive but the shop is surrounded by cute restaurants and shops. Most importantly the shop is clean and the staff is knowledgeable and works as a team. I had a front row seat and watched them hustle to take walk-ins, piercings, and appointments but never made people feel rushed. At first I was shocked at how many walk-ins came through, but after spending my day there I understand why! Go see them! read more

After years of ideation and searching for someone who had the artistic style I was looking for, I began working with Russell a few months ago on mapping out a plan for my sleeve work. He was incredible from start to finish and never shied away from being straight up about what would work / what wouldn't work given the existing work on my body and where I wanted to take it down the road. Even after 6+ hours in the chair, I could not be happier with how my piece(s) turned out. The attention to detail and realistic feel of the work is beyond what I envisioned and I'm already planning out how I can come back out to Loveland so we can keep building on the work he's done so far! I went in there to get a cartilage piercing. I was unimpressed when I walked in. Just felt stuffy and unappealing. As I sat there waiting, he basically set up a paper towel, put the earring on the table, (not even on the paper towel) nothing was sanitized, nothing packaged, had no gloves on, then picked it up again to show me that was all they had in his hands, and this was with him pausing from a tattoo. It was very unsanitary! I did not feel comfortable so I left. read more

Went with a friend to get a nose piercing. There was a father and son working there. The son helped us out. Didn't get much aftercare instructions, and not a lot of stud choices. My piercing turned out fine, though. (Or so I thought) My friend, however, was bleeding like a stuck pig when she got hers. When she went home to explore the issue, it turns out that the piercing went straight down the inside of the wall of her now and popped out at the very bottom of the nostril only a millimeter or two. It couldn't be rotated at all and was extremely painful. A large metal plinter in the wall of her nose. She was pretty cool about it and was like, "accidents happen", and I went with her back to Satori to have it fixed. The kid who pierced her said "Well, I know it went through when I saw it yesterday. I don't know what you did. You must just be swollen." He took it out for her and told he he would pierce her again in two weeks for free. No offer of a refund. No apology. No accountability. (And no way my friend is letting him try to pierce her again.) This really left a bad taste in my mouth. My experience was probably a 2 or 3 star experience, but watching how they treated my friend when they were in the wrong... super not cool. I won't be going back. A couple days ago, because my new stud would absolutely not stay in, I went to Tribal Rites to have a hoop put in by professionals. They were appalled by the stud put in my nose... it is supposed to be bent at a 90 degree angle, a few mm from the stud. Instead, mine was bent at a 45 degree angle a few mm from the end. They said no wonder it won't stay in! Also, I was informed that my piercing wasn't straight across, but was pointed down. (Hmmm... just like my friend's only not as severe.) They informed me that the poor angle was affecting how my jewlery was was lying. Seriously was pierced by a rookie at Satori... you definitely get what you pay for, I suppose. Also, is it just me, or do most tattoo parlors have photos of their work on the wall? Not this place. Just drawings. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted matching tattoos for our 2 year anniversary. I called yesterday, not even sure they'd be able to get 2 tattoos in today, and they said they'd fit us in their schedule. Super friendly on the phone! When we got there, it looked very clean, we were greeted immediately, and started our paperwork right away. Our tattoo artist, Alex, then started talking with us about what we wanted. We got matching outlines of the mountains we see from our apartment balcony. He knew exactly what we were going for even though I wasn't sure I was explaining it very well, and drew up a perfect little design really quickly! My boyfriend went first, because he had never had a tattoo before. The bed had a pad over it, which made me feel pretty good since no other tattoo shop I've been to was that careful about being sanitary. I was nervous about getting mine on my foot but Alex was super real about how it was gonna go and even showed me his own tattoos, so I felt better about the whole thing.
