We went in for our consult and worked with Tim. Tim was very easy to work with, shared some thoughts and ideas to consider and helped us create the design and tattoos we were really excited about. Tim sent a final mockup the week before and we made some subtle changes. The morning of Tim met with us to discuss size, placements and final details. Again I really appreciated Tim sharing some ides, thoughts and best practices to ensure we had the best possible end result. In the end, we were VERY happy with our tattoos (my wife's first and my third). This is the best work I have had done to date in a clean, safe, friendly environment. I recreated a note from my mother as a tattoo and was concerned whether the essence of her handwriting would truly transfer. It did! He was great for a first tattoo and then the next time I came back was a special arm sleeve for my bicep in memory of my uncle. Went here for a walk in tattoo cover up. Toby was patient with designing something and making…read moreadjustments as needed. The issue was with Nate, another artist, that Toby brought down for some advice. I wasn't loving the design and was met with hostility and a cocky attitude by Nate. "I think Toby made a great design and you should just go with it". I responded with "it's on my body forever, so I want to like it" and he became super pushy. All the designs I suggested were shot down and he kept saying I needed something bigger with thick lines- despite me being clear that is not what I wanted. Toby did a great job with the cover up, but I found out AFTER the session that this was his first time covering a tattoo. I would have appreciated more transparency. Over all- Toby was great to work with, but Nate put a damper on things with his attitude.
