I tried a few places in town (sort of like goldilocks, something just wasn't right for me with each of them), before a friend recommended her favorite place, Tone - Pilates, Dance, Yoga. Thank goodness! I just love it! Not only does my membership provide me with the yoga classes and yoga studio I was looking for, but they have the largest schedule of fitness class offered over all the other clubs in town I looked at. So besides yoga, I have also done Pilates mat classes, Cardio Toning, Zumba, Barre toning classes and they even have adult ballet, which looks fun. The owners Alyson and Monica are so sweet (as are all the staff). They all are warm, inviting and inclusive. Tone feels like a community, a community of new friends. Which is also so important. I now recommend it to everyone new that I meet and have had several friends and co-workers join. They offer a free pass on their website, which is also really nice for first time visitors and guests. It is a special place and a warm and welcoming yoga studio, fitness studio, Pilates studio, dance studio and community for everyone and I can't recommend it enough.

My work a physician and teacher involves HOURS seated - in front of the computer and commuting as well. Truly, Pilates is the main thing that keeps me functioning. Each time I work with Watta, it brings me back to healthy biomechanics with movement initiated from my core, improves my alignment, gradually increases my flexibility and strength. I feel like she puts my body back together piece by piece, after all the hours of misuse and neglect. What I appreciate most about Watta, even more than her deep knowledge of Classical Pilates, is her careful observation of how my body is working. She makes small suggestions that help me discover something new in each session. She is always restrained and focused on safety. She's a gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend her if you are serious about deep and regular work to maximize function and minimize pain.

I'm always substantially more calm, relaxed, and feel Marvelous. In fact, I'm more relaxed and tension free during and after the class than any other time in my week - this is including sleep. She always has a pearl of wisdom that creates a beautiful opening into my healing. She is most generous with her compassion and peacefulness exudes from her pores.
