I checked this studio out on a whim over the weekend and I'm so glad I did! I loved the boutique atmosphere and small class sizes, plus the studio itself was adorable and super clean. I took a class with Jess Cain and fell in love! I had never tried pilates before and I really appreciated her explanations and adjustments. I liked her focus on form and finding what works for your body. Plus, she is so fun and encouraging! I left class feeling incredibly stretched out and relaxed, AND like I'd gotten a really good workout in. I'd highly recommend taking her class if you're looking for an excellent workout experience! If you want a Pilates class that starts right on time; has music at a moderate level rather than blasting and is not chatty the whole way through so you can settle into focusing on your body and the exercises; is efficient and ever changing to keep things interesting; and has a warm, attentive instructor who's paying attention to your form and needs, adapting as needed, you've found your place! Foundation Pilates is fabulous. The studio offers terrific hours, is clean with good instructors and use the wooden balanced body apparatus that I prefer. What I really like about Foundation Pilates is that the owner, Shelbey, is extremely supportive. She tailors workouts to the individual and seems to have a endless and creative supply of new routines. She trains her workers to do the same. Every time I've started to get used to the routines, they were changed - and this is a GOOD thing. I was totally out of shape when I started - weighed over 180 (at 5'1"). Love this place. I will start by saying that I'm not a "group activity" kind of person. I don't like big classes. I'd also never done pilates or yoga. Foundation was recommended to me so I figured I'd give it a shot. First class was complimentary- so what did I have to lose? Class size never exceeds 5 people- and honestly - I have only seen the class full one time. Being so small- allows them to concentrate on each person. I never felt "silly" or awkward for not knowing the moves or pace. Each teacher really works with you, to your level. Price is reasonable- packages are the way to go. You can sign in for classes online (recurring or individual). It even allows you to see how many people are already signed up. I felt toned and my husband said that he could really see the difference after a month. Glad I found them. read more

This is the first pilates studio that I have been to and I am hooked. The owner, Becca, made me feel comfortable because I was a little intimidated by the reformer equipment. After several privates, I felt comfortable enough to take group classes. I was reassured to find the classes very intimate with 5 people maximum in a class. Becca accommodates each fitness level in a single class. I've been going to Foundation Pilates for over a year now and my body is in the best shape I've ever been in. Foundations Pilates, Becca and staff do a stellar job. I love my classes and find myself laughing during the classes because I am having so much fun. I really appreciate the cleanliness of the studio, the cool vibe, music and the ease of location. If you have felt you can not do Pilates I highly recommend you take a class. The staff is skilled and gentle. I felt comfortable the whole time I learned the processes. I felt this way with three different instructors which indicates that the staff is well trained and kind. I've been coming to Foundation Pilates for about a year and a half, and I can truly say it has changed my life. After spending much of my adulthood as a couch-potato, I now have a fitness routine that I LOVE! Who knew exercise could be so much fun? Because of Pilates, my blood pressure (which has been high for years) is lower, I have more flexibility and better balance then ever before, and best of all, I can see tone and definition in muscles I didn't even know I had! Foundation Pilates is the best Pilates studio for many reasons including that the classes are small so you're practically getting a private session. The staff is AMAZING!! Shelbey and her team go above and beyond to meet your needs and make sure you're meeting your fitness goals. The studio is extremely clean and the reformers and equipment are like new.
