I am sure I have saved more than my membership and the cost of drinks alone. They do definite heavy pores and it's worth every penny to join. The elks have a acronym bpoe... Which stands for best people on Earth, and they're not lying. Especially at this Lodge. This place is absolutely wonderful, they serve great food, and I have something going every single night of the week. This place has one of the best bars I have seen, and has pool tables, TVs all over the place, and just a great vibe to it. If you had even considered becoming an elk, I suggest you do it. There are lodges all over the nation, and you really need to check it out. And when you are in California, Orange county, in particular, you need to come to the elks Lodge here in Newport Beach. It will change your life and rock your world. Bottom line? I really didn't know that I needed to be a part of a lodge until I joined the Elks. They do such great humanitarian work, and this Lodge in particular is very big on supporting veterans, and other charity causes. Go check them out today!

She then looked at my Dad with that awful face and said what do you want and just blatantly disregarded me and me asking her if she was ok . This was my first time this year coming in , if I had brought a guest with me I would've been so embarrassed. I don't feel that paying members or guest of paying members should be treated like this . Or am I missing something? It was steak dinner night. My Dad and I had already ate so we just came in for a cocktail. The gentleman that was making the steaks came out and greeted us and was very nice and asked if we would like dinner. That was the only pleasant experience we had. As we were leaving, a lady went to go pick up our drink glasses, which I'm sure she was a volunteer but still I believe she should be nice and not rude. I said I'm going to take the last sip of my drink, she said OK and then you can take it to the bar. I was a bit taken back by her rudeness, saying that in a rude way with the ugly look on her face as well. I took the last sip looked at the bar It was super crowded. There wasn't a place for me to fit in so I said I'm sorry it's too busy at the bar. I set it back down on the table and she gave me a look that could kill. I don't know if I can bring a guest to this place because they're going to be treated like this? I think if you were working or a volunteer you should be nice to the members I don't know what's going on here, Am I missing something? Can somebody please explain this to me?

The ball room has a bay view, the patio seating for dinner is unique. We have friends who love to have a little supper here after a good days sail. We were lucky enough that they asked us to join them. They are veterans, and we are grateful for their service. The food is sturdy and flavorful and traditional. The Patty Melt was delicious as were the fries. They have Coors light on tap. I have always wanted to try this spot and I am happy I finally have! I hope I get to celebrate my friends again soon.

They have a nice banquet hall that is also open to the public for weddings, receptions, and other events. The outside patio is a serene and beautiful dining area overlooking the water. Everyone was very friendly and nice. *Calamari 5/5 - The calamari was nicely seasoned, crispy on the outside, and meaty on the inside. The portion was generous. The marinara sauce also had a nice spicy kick. *Filet Mignon 3/5 - This came with filet mignon, mushrooms, fries, and coleslaw. The sauce was really sweet. I prefer my steak to be more on the savory side, so I didn't really like this dish. The fries were good. *Clam Chowder 4.5/5 - You know how in some clam chowders, the clams are so tiny you can't tell if they're really there or if they're just potato pieces? Well, not these. The clams were meaty and succulent. The chowder was overall very good, just a bit salty for me.

My spouse and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our 5-year anniversary, and as a same-sex couple, we felt completely welcomed, respected, and cared for from the moment we arrived. The staff was so accommodating, warm, and genuinely kind. When we arrived, they had chocolate-covered strawberries waiting in our room, along with a complimentary bottle of wine. They also offer nightly turndown service, which added such a thoughtful and luxurious touch to our stay. Our room was huge, beautifully kept, and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The entire resort was clean, elegant, and well maintained. Even though they were renovating the lobby during our stay, it did not take away from the experience at all. Everything still felt peaceful, organized, and high-end. Every staff member we encountered greeted us and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious both at the bar and in the restaurant. Jake, the valet, was amazing and so helpful throughout our stay. The staff at Blend was also wonderful. The butter croissant and spinach and cheese croissant alone are worth coming back for, and the vanilla matcha was absolutely delicious. We loved this resort so much that we are already planning to come back later this year so we can enjoy the pool. It was a little too chilly to get in the water during our anniversary weekend, but that just gives us another reason to return. Trust me, book this resort. You will not be disappointed.

Huge thanks to Michael and Thanuri for saving the day…read more.. Long story short, my husband and I had a little mixup with a hotel reservation on a recent weekend. We were in town for the PPA Newport Beach pickleball tournament with the kids and when we arrived at this Costa Mesa Marriott late on a Thursday night, we were told that they didn't have our reservation. After a bit of digging, we realized that my husband's actual reservation was at a different property, but we were able to stay at CMM instead thank goodness! The rate we were given was reasonable for our 1 bedroom suite with two double beds and it worked out well. Not sure if my status or our luck helped, but we also had access to the lounge for breakfast which was such a nice touch. I know this hotel also has a restaurant / bar and a fitness room but I didn't get a chance to take advantage of either. The hotel room itself is probably four stars and could use some renovations, and there was an issue with the elevator on our floor during our stay, but thanks to the hospitality of the staff, I'm going with five stars for this one!

This weekend we worked with Jacob at the front desk who is a real professional and could not have been any nicer. We have been staying here for a couple of years, at least a few times each year and have always enjoyed our stays. Forgot to mention the breakfast is also very nice usually including eggs, sausage and potatoes, as well as danish, cereals, and oatmeal. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in a very nice part of Orange County.

After doing a seemingly endless amount of site visits, we came across Fete the Venue. Did it have the picturesque vineyard in the background? No. Instead, I was safe from insects all day, especially mosquitoes. Could I hear the waves hitting the shoreline? No, but I heard my wife's vows clearly during the outdoor ceremony and didn't worry about my hair going rogue in the breeze. Unfortunately, I had attended outdoor weddings that had limited ability to come up with a contingency plan. This detail was important for us to keep in mind when selecting a venue. It was also important that we had the flexibility in selecting our vendors, including our late night bites. With some vision, creativity, and a fabulous wedding coordinator, our wedding was truly memorable.

Parking was limited as such is the venue but it makes sense as it was an intimate gathering for close friends. After checking in, we were enjoying Furiwa catering out in the courtyard. Allow me to set the scene, vintage glass lights crisscrossed the horizon, surrounded by modern wooden fence and lush green lawn. Makes for a scenic backdrop for memorable pictures. Now on to the food, furiwa's fried shu mai is the most SCRUMPTIOUS food you will ever taste! It was crunchy, rich in umami flavor in the center, with a kick of spice before BLOSSOMING into a subtle, delicate sweet aftertaste. If Willy Wonka made Dim Sun, this ever changing Shu Mai would be it! 100 Willy Wonkas out of 10 rating. The egg roll was also good but not as great. 3/5 stars even though it made for a very nice picture! The inside of fete was like a warehouse which is so cool for wedding reception these days. Fete being French for a great celebration or feast is appropriately named as the venue provided for a nice, intimate, but wild atmosphere. The bar in the back is permanent and provided lots of drinks such as midori sour, old fashioned, cranberry/pineapple vodka, Cuba libre. All in all, 5/5 stars for this venue!
