The hot room is seriously HOT (which I love!). There is nothing more disappointing then showing up for a hot class that is more like warm or hot-ish. Not a problem at Samatva! The only downside to the studio is that classes are not carried out if less than 2 students attend. This has been an issue for me a couple of times which is a pain when you drive 20 mins into town just for class.

If you're not into being pushed and challenged then don't go. The Instructor is great at making sure you are in the correct positions while continuing to urge the other students to continue holding the pose. And boy, when they say hot, they mean HOT! We'll be 2 poses in and I'll already be sweating!! I didn't know you're knee caps could sweat! The first class I went to was tough. I was exhausted when I got home. But this second class was great. I did better in some of the poses and felt really confident when I left. Even if you have a image issue, do yourself a favor and invest in yoga shorts and light tank top. You'll thank me later. I don't know how people wear capris in there... its just too hot. The other students are all very friendly and super encouraging. The first class is tough, but it's worth it! I can't wait to go back on Wednesday!

I am not a big fan of massages because my previous experience has made them painful. I had the other massage therapist naked karen and she was light with her massages like I asked her to be. I never felt any pain and I told her that I enjoyed one technique that she was doing ... so she repeated it a couple times, which made me feel like I was in charge my massage. both of their massage oils were fully soaked into our skin so afterward our skin was dry and extremely soft Both my husband and I have had massages where afterwards our skin felt oily. We both felt extremely relaxed and calm afterwards. We are defintely going back soon their prices are affordable and the massage therapists make you feel like you're in charge of your massage.

And from that moment, I was hooked. I can't remember the last time I've been to a restorative class, because I'm a little obsessed with the power classes. All the instructors (Dallas, Jen, Kathryn, Russell, Jael) and the space is amazing. I used to have an unlimited monthly membership but they are now Kingston's first donation-based yoga centre. The suggested donation is $14 but they really do stress that there is no top or bottom. Check it out - maybe I'll see you there!

The new location (339 Barrie Street) in such a cozy, bright and welcoming space. It is a small and intimate studio, which I love as you feel comfortable and a part of a family. I would highly recommend this studio, whether you're a beginner or a yoga fanatic, they have a class here for everyone.
