I knew I was going to love Sauced Taproom & Kitchen just from looking at the menu even before we tried anything. There's such a wide variety of options that it was honestly hard to decide what to order. I ordered the Yum Yum Melt with a side of broccoli. It was just okay for me. The sandwich was a bit on the thinner side, didn't have many onions, and it seemed like it was missing the garlic aioli. There were also no yum yum pickles on the sandwich or on the side, which was disappointing. I wouldn't order that one again. My one son got the Curd Burger with a side of mac & cheese and really enjoyed it, especially the extra flavor from the hot honey pickles. My youngest ordered the Teriyaki Bowl (chicken, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, caramelized onions, teriyaki sauce over seasoned rice) and absolutely loved it. My husband tried the Caprese Burger with a side of Cajun fries, which was another solid option and he enjoyed it very much, especially the Cajun fries which were full of flavor. He also tried two of the beers, he ordered the Wangies - a hazy double IPA and he tried the Sasquatch Sightings - Russian Imperial Stout. He said both were excellent. I was intrigued by the different pizzas on the menu, which I am excited to try next time, I love that you have the option of ordering by the slice so you can try different ones or a whole pizza. Our server, Nick, was great; very personable, friendly, and helpful with menu suggestions since it was our first visit. The atmosphere was great also. I finally had an excuse to visit for a bookish bar crawl. I visited with a large group of book lovers. AMBIANCE: Urban brewery vibes with half brick exposed walls, wood furniture, wall of local beer plaques, and dim lighting. There is plenty of seating - a bar, high tops, and tables. On Saturday night the place was absolutely buzzing, lots of beer lovers! The space seemed equally tailored to the large groups, couples, and solo guests. My group was very comfortable despite us occupying the main space. FOOD/DRINKS: The taproom has a large selection of craft drafts, 49 to be exact! They are reasonably priced - $4-5. Some of the local brands are featured on the menu - Masthead, Bookhouse Brewing, Fat Head's, Southern Tier, and others. I wasn't in the beer mood during my visit, but my friend loved her beer choice. The menu is not limited to just beer, you can select cocktails, spirits, wine, mocktails, and more. There's something for everyone! The brewery has scratch kitchen. The menu has a lot of choices considering it's a brewery. Menu categories include pizza, salads, empanadas, wings, sandwiches, bowls, fries, desserts, kids menu, wraps, and brunch. There's a vegan section as well. Most of my bookish friends love that the menu featured pizzas by slice! I selected a bowl which seemed like a hearty fall day meal. My choice was Bourbon Chicken Bowl ($14.50). The dish was overwhelmingly spicy for my palette. My friend ordered a seasonal special (Seasonal Gnocchi Bowl) that was a lot more tasty and not spicy. SERVICE: Our group had only one waiter. The service was very impressive considering that he was serving everyone who was not seated at the bar. Every order was accurate, the service was fast, and he was super nice. For his sake, I wish for better staffing at this brewery. Everyone in my group enjoyed their experience and food! A nice roomy comfortable room with both plentiful bar and table seating. Service from Nathan at the bar was perfect. Food was absolutely delicious. I had a seasonal bowl of gnocchi with pumpkin sauce, bacon, onion, and feta. Garlic bread included was great. I requested added chicken and it was moist and perfectly seasoned. Came here as our Stop #1 during CLE Burger Week, and it was a great place to start! Given the Covid-19 life we are currently leading, we felt very safe and comfortable at the indoor seating just inside the wide open patio doors. Given it was Happy Hour when we arrived, we ordered our first round of drinks and some wings that were on special (five for $4). The wings with a buffalo sauce had a nice heat with crispness on the outside wings and juicy meat on the inside. The wings were not drowning in sauce, yet had the unmistakable taste of a traditional wing. After a second round of drinks, our burgers and fries arrived. The jalapeno popper burger was delicious...they told us ran 'em through a pizza oven to grill it along with the poppers on top. The T-Rex sauce was tangy and had a "bite" to it and the grilled brioche bun held up with the both that and the creamy bacon spread; what a gooey mess (in a good way!). The fry flight was a fun idea with a basket of fresh cut fries and four dipping sauces to create combinations with (garlic aioli, T-Rex sauce, red pepper aioli and a Cleveland BBQ based sauce). Perhaps scheduling of staff should be re-evaluated, especially on weekends and holidays. We went to Sauced on Father's Day to have two growlers filled, at approximately 12:30pm. There was ONE staff member visible. One, with several tables and handful of people at the bar. We waited 15 minutes for growlers fills-- I can sympathize with the delay, due to lack of staffing.. However, the process in which the growlers were filled and sent home was unacceptable. The beer was poured without any tubing resulting in an incredible amount of head and beer waste. We drove home (thankfully only 10 minutes) and by then the beer had settled.. our growlers were 1/2 full. We returned and the situation was rectified, but they never should've been sent off that way. read more

I've been here a couple times and every single time it's been absolutely amazing!! I've gone for the empanada and margarita specials on Wednesdays. Everyone who works here is so nice! We went to Sauced for the first time tonight. I looked at Yelp reviews before we went and we almost skipped it because of them. But, we were pleasantly surprised. The place definitely has more of a bar (than restaurant) atmosphere. There are a ton of beers on tap, unfortunately many are IPAs. If you're into IPAs, you're in luck! They have imaginative and tasty cocktails, which were a big draw for me, to be honest. The food was NOT typical bar food. I got the chicken pesto sandwich and it was really, really good. The burger was cooked medium well, there was some heat from the jalapeno, and creamy cheesy spread (plus bacon, sauce, and arugula). I thought the burger was pretty tasty! Came here on a Friday night and it was ok! The interior is just fine, they have a patio overlooking the street and are right across from Melt. Not sure what the parking situation is - we walked here. I ordered a cocktail for $8, and it was verrryyy heavy on the bourbon, I couldn't drink it. It was supposed to be bourbon, vanilla, and lemon/lime, but I couldn't really taste any other flavors besides bourbon. But they gave me a half cup of ginger ale at no cost, so that was pretty lit. We also ordered loaded baked potato fries which were not too bad! We also ordered nachos which were alright! The waiter wasn't super friendly, but he worked pretty hard cleaning up the place. This is a brand new place. They are a taproom and about 30 beers on tap. Many are local and they have an excellent selection. Something for every taste. They serve by the glass and in flights. They also serve food, while they don't have a large menu, what they do have tastes great. I tried the wings, pizza and salad all of which were really good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our waitress checked back multiple times and my drink was always full. This place is open for lunch on weekdays. This place has a really cool look and the front windows completely open which is awesome. The prices are really reasonable, probably as good or better than anyplace else in Lakewood. We came here during cleveland burger week and we have been here once before. While my burger was solid overall and cheap due to the event, the fries we paid over half our meal for, were just average. In the past the beer and other meals have been pricey. If you are looking for something filling this isn't the place. The service has always been good and they do appear to be following strict COVID-19 regulations. It seemed like the slices were premade, and they sprinkle bacon and a few pieces of sausage on my meat pizza slice. The pepperoni slice had approximately four slices of pepperoni. The salads were nice, good dressing. The sliced chicken was pretty flavorful and not dry. But I really think the focus is on the beer, the food is secondary. If you want a beer with some food try it. This place is by far one of the best places in Lakewood. Yes, I'm serious! I've always wanted to try this place because I follow them on Instagram. So we drove over to Lakewood one afternoon and stopped in. It's quite large and open and the bar is extra long! They have about 50 beers on tap which is awesome!!!! They are great craft beers too. My sister got a brunch bowl thing. Both meals had a little too much going on and the portions were kinda small. I'd probably go back and try something from the regular menu as opposed to the brunch menu. As far as the beer selection goes... it was great. So many unique beers to choose from. I got the pick 4 flight and enjoyed all of them. I think they must have been featuring Platform Brewery at the time because lots of the draft beers were from Platform. I got an ABC pizza, meatball sub, chicken tenders, and a salad. To start with the positive, the server was very friendly, both over the phone when placing my order and picking it up. The meatball sub had a nice spice that wasn't too overwhelming. The tenders looked dark but tasted fine, but there were only three in the order, which felt like not much. Unfortunately, my positives stop there. The salad had a lot of soggy tomatoes and bad greens. We started to pick through and toss the bad stuff, but ended up tossing most of it. The pizza was also not good. Very sparse pepperoni and, I'm sorry, but whoever rolled the dough out didn't even care to roll it evenly. One end was very thicker than the rest and made for an uneven bake. What frustrates me more is that, when I picked up the order, there was only one other customer. I understand covid makes things tough, but why couldn't they take care with my order when they clearly weren't busy?
