Came here for a group coffee event. The barista was great at making our drinks fast and taste great. I enjoyed my Modern Crimes White Mocha. The food and service was disappointing. The had a brunch menu but could not order anything from it even though the menu was sitting at the tables. So I settled on a pizza where the main item was supposed to be chicken. The pizza arrived and it looked like a salad. The server came back 5 minutes later and said sorry we forgot the chicken and brought it in a bowl. There barely were any customers except our group but it still took time to get the food. Only two people from my table ordered food due to the lack of people ordering. I'm not sure if we just came too early but the place was deserted. Which was great for us since we needed a lot of seats. The empty business though was not a good sign of a steady business. I've been meaning to come here forever, but it's just not on my way anywhere. Today it was my third choice for a pizza place. The first one seems permanently closed, the second one was packed full. And then when I got here, it was Wednesday, wing day, so I didn't even get pizza! I'll have to do that tomorrow. Or come back here and get it. But: buy a half a dozen, get a half a dozen free, so of course I had to get the wings. They have a decent selection of flavors. I got Buffy Summers and Bee's Sting, both of which have a little touch of heat, and some sweet and savory elements. I ended up liking them both equally well. The wings were big and meaty, and were cooked up nicely. I tried a few small samples of their beers. They have a good selection; they are a chain out of Cleveland and have a wide variety. The bartender was absolutely amazing: he took care of the samples, other drinks and took my food order. Another staff member brought my food. They were both super friendly and laid-back. I came at 2 PM on a weekday, so they weren't very busy. There were just a couple of other groups there. The atmosphere was very relaxed. The decor is very cool inside. Wasn't super crowded in a Saturday night. Loved the swing seats. Bartender was very informative for how things work. Pizzas were listed as 10" but ended up being closer to 14" each. Flavorful and plenty of toppings. All the beers I tried were gold and tasty. Now for my pet peeve. Nothing is more annoying than having to scan a QR code to order food/drinks. I don't mind to order that way but having to pay and submit the tip amount prior to receiving any of the food/drinks is not cool. I don't know how I can tip for service etc if I haven't received any of the products yet. We had no issues and I would've still tipped well at the end of the meal. So I've been here a few times now. I'll say the bartenders are great, the beer is good. The food, food service, coffee aspects? All a BIG miss. Popped in there with a small group - buffalo chicken dip was mostly creamcheese and little chicken, the wrap was flavorless, the cheese pizza was the only thing that hit the mark (but... it's a cheese pizza. It's the basic pizza you can only fuck up by over or under cooking). But the food was also brought out sporadically. One person's order... five minutes later... another order... ten minutes later... more food! And no napkins? I had to request them, and I was handed _bar_ napkins. If you have more than bags of snacks, you need some real napkins, yo. Coffee was ordered. We heard OTHER tables talk about their coffee orders. Multiple people had to go in and ask about "where's my coffee?" You'd assume ONE missed coffee, or "whoops, we missed the coffee orders, let's get those out!" but... no. Everyone had to individually go check on the coffee order, and they said "the barista missed the ticket!" Uhm... the barista missed _every_ ticket. The coffee WAS good (got the one with peanut butter syrup) - but the wait kind of killed the hype for it. I wouldn't come back for "dinner" or coffee at night - but I'd come back to share something and have some beers before/after going elsewhere. I'd like to come back at lunch and see if their coffee barista is more on point in the daylight hours. read more

New year, new review for Saucy Brew Works -- which continues to slap. The pizza is great, and I recently tried both the Phat Ranch and This Little Piggy (Q1 Special). The latter was delicious with its juicy pulled pork. Ordering online is a breeze, but the only downside is that you can't add special requests. I only bring this up, because I like my pizza extra crispy, but when ordering online you aren't able to request this. The coffee is also delicious. I've tried a few of their whole bean varieties to brew at home, and my favorite thus far has been the Bright Eyed. I think it's also worth noting that you can order 6 packs online, and pick them up to-go which is very convenient. Prices for the 6 packs are super reasonable as well, some as low as $8. Saucy Brew Works is a mixture of things. Its a brewery, pizza cafe and coffee shop. Somehow that all works. Ive had coffee here in the past, its pretty good and they come up with fun specialty drinks. We went for pizza this time: So the inside of the pizza shop has a long bar with bar stools to drink/eat at. You place your order for food here as well. The dining room consists mostly of long tables that have seats that are technically individual swings. Fun concept. There is also outdoor seating covered by an awning. I dont like beer but i liked this beer. I got something that had mango in it (maybe "oh my god, Becky") and then ordered a mushroom pizza. My husband got ruckin' fadiculous pizza which was better than the mushroom one. They are thin, hand tossed pizzas, but not super thin. Pizzas as a whole, could of had more flavor tbo but were still very good. We also tried the garlic pretzel sticks. So good highly recommend the pretzel sticks. Fav: pretzels and the beer. We ordered three small pizzas, pretzel sticks. A dessert and two beers. Beers were given to us at time of ordering. Then pretzels arrived. Ten min later a pizza and dessert arrived-- five minutes later two more pizzas arrived. It was a bit odd timing as it wasn't crazy busy. Enjoyed our trip there. Would go back, but not routinely. Visited for lunch with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. It was my first time visiting this part of town. There is no reserved parking for Saucy Brew Works, so you will need to find a spot on the street. The restaurant / bar was not busy when we arrived. We grabbed a table in the corner. We started off with ordering beers. They had some interesting options. I got the What's His Nuts, which is a peanut butter stout. It was heavy but had good flavor. We then ordered our food. They had brunch options but I went with a pulled pork sandwich off their main menu. For my side I went with the broccoli slaw. I also got an order of the Saucy Bread to share. The food arrived after 10 or 15 minutes. The Saucy Bread was delicious, with a strong garlic flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was also great. The broccoli slaw wasn't too my liking but I don't think it was bad. I would probably have preferred the side salad. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would like to visit again. read more

I got the food from Uber Eats, so I can't rate the establishment or service. I'm from Buffalo, NY so I'm kind of a pizza and wing snob. -Pizza was good. Give it a 3.2 out of 5. Good crust and toppings. Sauce was good too. -Wings... 1.1 out of 5. They are plus sized papa John's crap. Soggy and slimy, sauce was ok though. I've had reheated wings from Buffalo that were a 2.7... -Fingers are 2.5 of 5. The meat was solid but the breading was convenient store quality. I'd get the pizza again but the wings are another non buffalo area let down. I know I'm rating of delivery but I've had great delivery before. I judged this knowing it was in a box for 10 min before it got here. My homemade wings are 3 of 5. I'd love to visit this kitchen and see if we could get a good quality wing from here. I was honestly kinda tempted to give this place 3 stars. The space is really cool. It's not large but I like all the colorful lights and the swings. I did feel like the swings were a bit close together, as in it's hard to get back into your seat when you've stood up. Just awkward. The pizza menu had a lot of interesting options. My friends told me they liked ordering the chicken and waffle pizza, so we ordered it again this time. I feel like they hyped up the pizza on the menu too much. You could taste the maple syrup and it did have other cheeses on it, but I'm not sure if I would say that the flavors were out of this world. I half expected pieces of waffles to be dropped on it, but we got none of that. It didn't really look spectacular either. I did like that they had a lot of sours on the menu. I had the dub jam which was nice and fruity. It was pretty light for me, but my friends who don't like sours thought it was too sour. They rotate some of their flavors every month, so it's definitely something to come back for. They also have a coffee shop, which is attached to it. You can access it from outside or from inside if you go towards the bathrooms and take a left. I got a cortado with a pump of blackberry. My friends also got other drinks with interesting flavors, like a drink that had Sakura and cherry. The coffee was not great. I almost never write two star reviews but my experience here was absolutely terrible, and I have to share. Came for restaurant week, hired a babysitter. Ordered off of the restaurant week menu and waited over an hour before asking where our appetizer was. We were told that "since we ordered restaurant week, it would Be longer" we watched 8 other tables get sat, and get full meal services before we got our first course. I eventually went back up to the kitchen and asked if they even had our ticket, and they hadn't even started it! (We had the waitress check on it twice) In the end, part of our meal was comped and they brought all of the food out in 15 mins after I finally said- we are leaving and going somewhere else. I'm really not sure how the kitchen service was messed up so badly, but I wouldn't return to this location. Little to no explanation was given. I was in tears, and felt like I wasted money on a babysitter, and could have gone anywhere else for restaurant week and had a better time. Here's the thing... I like Saucy. Been to their Pinecrest location in CLE twice. I like the food, like the brews. I just don't understand how the service was so bad. read more

Tried Sacuy's Coffee today. This is right next door to Saucy Brew Works & they have coffees, chai lattes, and pup pup's which is a small cup of whip cream for your pup. They take pictures of the pups and put them up on the wall. Overall, pretty good. I enjoyed the chai latte & had quick service here. read more

Not sure why there are a few reviews that talk about bad service because they sat at a table and waited for someone to come to them to get their order. Umm Per the menus and QR codes on the table, you order on the app and they bring it to your table. Or you go up and order and the counter and they bring it to your table. You don't have servers there. So don't take that as a valid point. With that said, we liked this place. The food is coming out of the kitchen nonstop so it must be good. We didn't try food when we were there. Just beer and coffee! The coffee shop smelled so good we had to pop over and get some. Even tho we were there for alcohol lol My husband was looking forward to trying some beers that they were out of, which is disappointing, but we will just have to go back. I am not a beer drinker so I appreciate that they had ciders and seltzer's. I got several Kitty Paw seltzers My husband enjoyed their Fauxbia beer so much that he went to the car and got his growler filled. The service was good. They were fast and pleasant. You don't get severed by a server like normal. Which is says on the tables. You sign into the app (first timers get $5 odd their orders which was nice). You order and give them the table number on your table and they bring it out very quickly. Or. You can order at the counter and tell them your table number and they bring it to you. They have swings at all the tables in the center to sit at. Cool. The coffee is great. We got "what's his nuts" lattes. Wow are they good!!! We went back the next morning just for lattes. First time eating from Saucy Brew works. I live in the neighborhood and it always seems to be busy. I decided to order DoorDash to give one of their pizzas a try. I chose the Molti Formaggi Pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. I figured this basic pizza combo would be a great place to start. While I didn't eat in on this occasion I did get to see inside. It looks like a fun, but super cramped, atmosphere. So if you go I'd prepare to be sitting very close together. The pizza looked amazing. Unfortunately the taste didn't do it for me. The crust was the best part of the pizza. But the rest of pizza was really overpowered by the cheese. Don't get me wrong the cheese is wonderful. I just want to taste something more than just the cheese on a crust. I couldn't even taste the sauce or the pepperoni. I wouldn't order this pizza again! However the menu seems to have some other possibilities so I'd be happy to give Saucy Brew Works another try. read more

Covid info: it seemed great and they let you order on an app from your table, but then the only cook has his mask around his chin the entire time he cooks. I don't put up with this. I hate that I have to write this review as I only have a couple one star reviews in my history on Yelp. This was a disaster from start to finish. I walk in and see a sign that says they are at capacity so I go to the bar to join the wait list as the sign directed. Got I bored for about 5 minutes and saw one of the bartenders pass me and wait on the person in line at the door! Unbelievable. So I get back in to line to put my name on the waitlist. We were sat in about ten minutes and I had to download an app and give them my credit card info to order. We got two of their custom cocktails and mine tasted like cold black tea with some vodka. We ordered the margarita pizza and it was a disaster. So many things wrong with it. The mountain of fresh thick cut tomatoes made the pizza a soupy mess. We went to pull a piece and 100% of the toppings stayed with the rest of the pizza. The dough was completely raw so we brought it back up front. The manager came to apologize and said he would refund us. I asked how he would do that since I already paid and at that point he asked for my name. It's the next day and I don't see a refund so I assume it's not gonna happen. Such a poor experience and the others reviews have similar feedback. I hope they get their stuff together since the space is setup really nicely. I'll update this if I ever do get the refund. Not holding my breathe. read more

My friend and I waited over an hour to eat at Saucy Brew Works and it did NOT disappoint. At first I was a little upset that the restaurant never texted us to let us know we can come on over because they switched their walk in sign from see the hostess to pick a seat but when the waiter said drinks on him, it was easily forgiven. This was my first time here and it was fantastic. They have an app system where you can either order through that or from your server, up to you. We ordered two appetizers and a small pizza which was perfect for two of us. We got the Bavarian pretzels and beer cheese, which in my opinion were good but could've been better. The meatball "saucy balls" YES I NEED MORE. Probably the best thing we ordered. It's homemade all beef meatballs with saucy red, breadstick and pecorino romono. Came here on a Sunday evening around 5 pm. It was pretty busy but we were able to find a table on the patio for a group of 3 and a dog. It was nice to walk to if you live around in the neighborhood. The patio temperature varied a lot and sometimes had very warm air blowing and other times a little chilly but nice that it was screened in. Dogs were welcome and they had water bowls available. We ordered completely on the app. It was pretty easy to navigate and our food and drink came out pretty promptly. We ordered a chip appetizer that we all really enjoyed, the flavors were really tasty. We also ordered 2 medium pizzas and one small pizza. We liked them all and had many leftovers. The pizzas are a little pricy with a small ~$15 and a medium ~$19. We had a nice experience here! read more

I was so happy when Saucy opened up in 2020, but the big crowds this place drew in the pre-vax COVID era was too much for me. Though it was intriguing to see from afar the mixed reviews this place got. After finally experiencing SBW first hand, I get it... If you can, taking advantage of their happy hour deals weekdays from 3:30 to 5:30 is the way to go. Not only does it mitigate the crowding mentioned in other reviews, but $4 beers and half-prize apps are nice perks. I had two of their flagship beers (Juicy asap and Love You, Bye). The latter hit the spot more than the former. Also had the meatballs (alright) and plain mac & cheese (good with the potential to be really good if you add toppings). But still, a mixed bag. Then when paying my tab, I pulled up the barcode on the SaucyBrewWorks app to get loyalty points. Unfortunately the place did not have a scanner to capture the barcode, so I didn't earn points. We sat down and looked at the menu and mistakenly waited for someone to come take our order. Whoops! After awhile we realized we had to go up to the counter to order. But good if you prefer to spend local. I ordered a pizza for pick up in a rush for my kids which is 12" for $17. It was another $2.50 for extra pepperoni. Definitely no extra pepperoni so $19.50 for a small regular pepperoni pizza, so that was just stressful. I feel this is the way it prints up on the order and can be easily missed by cook. Love this brewery in Columbus. Obviously the swings and lights inside is what attracted me to try this place, but the beer and food is what makes me want to go back. They have great deals on food basically every day of the week which is nice. The vibes are very casual; you order food and beer from the bar and then it is brought out to your table. It was hard to decide which pizzas to order so when you go, definitely get the nashville hot chicken pizza! Seriously it was good! I never thought pickles on a pizza would be as good as it was. We also got the hot pretzel and mac and cheese. Both of which were also incredible. For being a brewery, their food is out of this world. They also have a very wide selection of beers on tap. I forgot to tell you guys about my experience here (or it got deleted??). I was super excited to get a brewery in the area, one that I can walk to as well!!! Too bad that this was a horrible experience and I will never come back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. However if you like horrible service and rude employees this might be a place for you. Walked in to hide from the heat and walked to the back to order some beer. Not greeted by anyone and completely ignored by the bartender (note it was like 4 on a Tuesday, there was about 5 other people inside). Since it was the first time and no one was available to assist I ordered one of the lightest beers I could find and a water. Got the beer and the bartender walked away. No water for me.... Paid and left a tip. We sat outside and people watched. It's a good corner for that. We didn't like our beers and with the very poor service didn't want to stay for more drinks or food. Several days later I was looking at my bill and realized that my total was higher than what I authorized. Apparently the bartender "made a mistake" and gave herself a bigger tip, and effectively stole from me??? Whattt???? We were not greeted by anyone, it wasn't until we ordered our drink at the bar and sat down did someone come let us know that we had to order food through their app. You have to download their custom app to order. And once you do that you have to make an account. However, once we got our drinks and sat down the service was quick. We got the Bees Knees pizza and it was delicious. My husband and I are currently working on completing the Columbus Ale trail and stopped here on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised that they are both a coffee house and a brewery. I decided to try the mocha coffee and was blown away. I am not normally a hot coffee person, but opted for it bc it was a cold day. This was probably one of the best coffees I've ever had. We ended up buying a bag of beans for the house and they offered to grind them for us. My husband went with a beer flight and was not disappointed with any of his choices.
