They sell lemons. If you buy anything from these people, you're getting scammed. Sold a 2008 Saab 9-7X for $6000, and failed to mention the $2500 or so it needed for: --New engine coolant thermostat --new steering rack --alignment --new CVT solenoid --new manifold All of which SHOULD have been disclosed prior to sale, and claiming that they didn't inspect is laughable as every dealership inspects cars when they come off the auction block or get traded. **UPDATED** After my initial review stating an issue with Roger Moffat, the Finance person, the dealership reached out to fix everything. Long story short about the issue, Roger had enrolled me into 3 warranties that he had me under the impression were already included and not an extra cost. I found out after everything was signed and I got my papers that they were not included, but were extra. Any way, I wrote my review in the middle of the night on Saturday because the issue I had was literally driving me insane. Ken Mahlka, the General Sales Manager, contacted me first thing Sunday morning even though he was off work. He apologized for the issue and requested I reach out with a time convenient for me to set up an appointment so it can be rectified. An appointment was made and everything was recontracted. Ken went over every document and explained everything to me. He was so pleasant and reassuring. He said that if I did decide later I wanted an extra warranty, I can come back at anytime to discuss it and get a quote. My initial review also gave a good statement about Jim Wright, my car salesman, so I want to reiterate it. Jim was awesome! He was so nice, knowledgeable and personable. He also met with me when I met with Ken and apologized for my issue even though it wasn't his doing. Ken and Jim were absolutely exceptional. You can tell they really care about their customers and their work. Just be careful of Roger if he is still working there. read more

I thought I was going to get my truck taken care of quickly there but also did not think it was going to cost $1800 and some change to put a Particulate Matter Sensor on my truck which is a diesel . Light came up on our truck. I went to Auto Zone first and they scanned O2 Oxygen sensor bank 2. I wanted to make sure so I stopped at an Auto Mechanic shop and it scanned the same thing they said $300.00 to install. Called Sauers Buick and asked for ball park labor and was told 1/2 hr for installation and part a hundred bucks around $200.00. Hubby said I will go there because he didn't want an after market part and it was less money. YES IF ZERO WAS AVAILABLE THAT IS WHAT I WOULD CHECK Sauers said they would have to scan the vehicle for $300.00 plus parts and labor to verify the scans of the establishments that I went to. Not what I was told on the phone Hubby said no just install the sensor because I told him what they had said when I called and they were less expensive because we are on a fixed income. He gets in the truck and light is still on. He goes back in and blew his top. They said we told ya. There is no trust in any type of any businesses in this day and age. Labor not 90 bucks it was $179.00 Part was right on 108.49 We were charge some storage fee 3.00 Shop supplies? 20.00 Tax 7.59 Total $318.0 And we are still looking at the light read more

Jim Wright handled a very detail-oriented customer really well. My mom is REALLY REALLY hard to please and Jim found the car that's perfect for her. I was there for the whole thing and he was the only salesman that didn't say she'd have to settle because she came in with quite a list of "needs". They had exactly what she wanted- but it didn't have a sun roof- so he arranged to have one put in for her! He made the whole transaction easy. Honestly if I could leave no stars I would. I took my vehicle here about a month ago for issues I'd been noticing with my car, but also because my battery was(what I thought) going out. Not going to go to a dealership for just a battery change tho, so when other issues came up i took it in for those but also asked them to look into my battery and alternator to see why I kept having issues there. They said it was fine. So I'm back there because my car died, and none of my dash lights were working(speedometer backlights, digital speedometer, ect) but my radio did. So I'm like thats really weird, if they just checked my battery and said it was fine not even a month ago I must be having electrical issues. So I take it back. They said it was only the battery and replaced it without even asking if wanted it and so now I got screwed by that and paying out of pocket for my rental because my warranty wouldnt help with something so simple. Why the heck would I take it there for just a freaking battery? Had I known it was only that I would have done it myself. So f this company for making my life that much more difficult in an already super hard time. I went to a dealership thinking I wouldn't get screwed over, so much for that. read more

Sauers GMC - Car Dealers Near Me - La Porte, Indiana

I'm in the market for a GMC Acadia and found two 2018s with low miles listed on Sauer's website. I called on Wednesday and spoke to the sales manager, Tracy, about these two cars. She told me to come take a look at them and assured me that they would be able to sell one of them to me in the price range that I was looking to spend. I told her that it would be a 90 minute drive for me from Chicago, but that I would come on Saturday morning to look at them and hopefully buy one of them. I drove 90 minutes, spent money on gas and tolls, and then sat in the dealership for 45 minutes, only to be told that BOTH of these used cars are currently being loaned out to Notre Dame University! I asked if I could drive to the University to see them and was told no because they were on loan. I'm not sure why they are listed for sale if they are being loaned out?! Tracy didn't have the decency to even apologize about this mishap before I left the dealership. This place is shady. I would stay far away! There are tons of other reputable dealerships out there to choose from. read more

Normally have good experiences here. However, not the case with Vic in service department. 3rd time having wiper blades replaced. Told me you'll have have that when wiper freezes to windshield and then try and turn them on. It was raining...not frozen to windshield. He continued to convince me it was my fault. I told him I've had enough. He then spouted off and said I could have a refund and go somewhere else. Perfect idea Vic! At $25 PER blade they should last longer than one rain drizzle! When I was here to get my oil changed 3 weeks ago I witnessed him talk to a couple older ladies the same way over a battery replacement....must be his norm. However, Tim and Mike have always been super helpful. Will definitely consider going to a different Buick dealer for any service from now on! read more

Ok, RYAN HAMILTON, saved the day, altho Im still bothered by the fact that Sauers Auto depends on one charismatic, charming employee to make up for others numerous mistakes. When I was let out early from my work due to bad weather the following week, I drove my Enterprise rental down Hwy 35 to pick up my car. The brakes on my rental locked up half way there, so I had make an emergency stop on the side of the hwy to call Enterprise to take me to Sauers' Auto. An hour later, someone showed up and took me there. Ryan Hamilton immediately met me at the door, apoligised, and wanted to take the time to clean up my car. He explained what had happened. When I saw my car, it was beautiful, like a new car. Ryan was as nice as could be, my car was CLEAN! So I raised the rating due to Ryan. If you have to go to Sauers Auto for body work, ask for RYAN HAMILTON by name. Im not a fan of Sauers Auto, but I could be if Ryan decides to stick around. read more

On 1/7/15 my car broke down in Mishawaka, called Saures, they sent a tow. After car was "looked at" I was told that "to start in would coat $680 to fix, that numerous things were wrong with the car" and it would $680 to start, as they didn't know how many other things were wrong. . This didn't include the $125.00 tow-in. I removed the car took it to another repair shop. There I was told I had a broken SERPENTINE BELT, and broken pulley. The cost $157.00, plus the tow-in.That is $532.00 difference in price for the same work. I know they were going to over charge me, that's why I took the car else where. I have had more than one turn with this dealer, and there "REPAIR SHOP". Over charging people is how they make there money. Taking advantage of someone because there car is not running is 100% wrong. No repair shop should do this, and a dealer that is connected with a brand like GM, should be ashamed of them self for do this to someone. I know I'm not the first person that this has happened to, and I am sure I will not be the last. I feel very fortunate that I removed my car from Sauers and took it else where, who know what they would have done to the car. I wouldn't take a tricycle to them to be repaired. I've recently taken my vehicle into Sauers Buick Gmc in Laporte, IN and had a great experience. The service team was very friendly and explained everything to me and didn't make me feel stupid when i was asking questions about my repairs. There prices were very reasonable and i didn't even have to wait for my vehicle to get done. They've recently added a new service where they will take customers home or drop them off at a store and pick them back up when their car is completed . I really liked this service since I personally hate to sit in a waiting room. I will definitely be recommending Sauers Buick Gmc to all my friends and family. read more
