Came in as a new patient for Dr. EMILY CHEN, but somehow Dr. SANA BAIG saw me instead. It was not a huge deal to me at all since she gave me some solid advice. Now my main complaint about this place. As new patient, they did Xray first, then Doctor check, then cleaning. The Xray technician was horrible. It took him a total of 25 mins to just to get everything correct. Never had someone took that long to get all the xray necessary. HYGINIEST. I've been going to dentist religiously for quite some time now and I have never, ever had a horrible hyginiest experience ever until I got here. Even working as solo, a lot of hygienist are able to properly do their job and not make a mess on patient's face. 1. Why does hyginiest gotta ask me if im okay every 20s? It was already established that i would raise my left hand if I wanted to stop whatever she was doing. 2. Too much water I might as well bring a soap and shampoo and take a shower. She wasn't attentive of overflowing water in mouth and would say "I was focused on cleaning your teeth".. 3. Why she gotta physically close my mouth after saying close your mouth? People know how suction works.. ‍‍‍ Like hello?? Never had a hyginiest physically close my mouth just to do suction! 4. She didnt Floss under my bridge and she was "teaching" me how to floss. She also left a broken piece of floss in between my teeth and she didnt noticed it until I said redo the part since i feel something stuck in my teeth. 5. Always looking whos walking by like hello focus your eyes on me. That's why you didnt notice if water is leaking out of my mouth. She looks like she's not confident with her work or asking validation if shes doing a good job‍‍ 6. Xray tech took forever to do xray smh. Do better. The reviews for neighborhood dentists were so frightening that I decided to buy a pricy electric toothbrush and take my chances. However, my new dental insurer (as of January 2026) put a dentist I'd never seen nor heard of as my default dentist. She's a little further away than I would have considered because of the distance. But I looked at her reviews and thought, "There are FAR too many five-star reviews for me to not at least give her a chance." And all those five-star reviews are absolutely correct. Although this dental office is in a building I would've never found on my own because they're not allowed to have signage outside, the inside is bright, warm and professional. Although it's a little chilly in there, I accidentally came dressed for the weather. (Bring a hoodie.) The dental assistant (Cynthia), the front-desk representative (Nedzma) and the dentist (Dr. Tamara Marjan) are all equally five stars. They are attentive, responsive, professional, friendly and very easy to work with. My comprehensive exam and cleaning were seamless. I didn't have to deal with ANY of the problems that I encountered with two other dentists. This dental office is careful about masks, sanitation, keeping sunglasses in stock so I'm not tearing up while looking at the lights and no one is trying to force me to spend a zillion dollars on cosmetic dental suggestions I never asked for nor need. Everything about this visit was absolutely perfect, and I even left with a movie recommendation (based on my profession). Again, the only cons were figuring out how to find the dental office (Google Maps can't even find it) and needing a hoodie. Other than that, top notch. I have officially found a new dentist. The office staff and hygienists were all super friendly. After visiting way too many sketchy dentist offices in strip malls around Chicago, their office and facilities were a breath of fresh air. New equipment, bright exam rooms and nice decorations. Dr. Dave is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and really does talk you through each step of the exam and appointment. He wants to make sure you don't feel any pain at all. I had one dentist who attempted to numb me with anesthetic 3 different times, and I could still feel the drill.
