Savannah did my hair for my elopement during COVID and I got a lot of compliments! I have curly, temperamental hair, and Savannah took care in giving me the style I wanted and also making sure that the style would work for my outdoor event in August. My hairdo held up in extreme heat and humidity through the entire night. And Savannah and the salon are following safety protocols for COVID, including putting up barriers between chairs, taking temperatures, and wearing masks at all times. It is hard to find a hair stylist that can cut hair as beautifully as Savannah does. I have been going to her for years, and wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. As a long-haired girl who is addicted to my length, it is hard to find a stylist who will actually let you KEEP length (as long as it's healthy) instead of promising a trim and taking off four inches. I leave Savannah's chair with weightless hair that looks just as long, but much more alive and shaped up! I also recently started coloring my hair, and she has created such natural looking richness in my dark brown hair. I found the person that will be cutting my hair as long as I live in New York. That just about wraps up how I feel about Savannah Bentz. I am a Dominican girl with difficult, coarse hair. I admit I was apprehensive about not going to a salon specializing in my type of hair. I showed up, nervous about letting someone I didn't know cut my hair (that I've been trying to grow out 4EVER!). Savannah has been cutting my hair for something like 4 years now, and at this point, I wouldn't trust anyone else to cut it! She does an amazing job creating a hairstyle that matches the shape of my face, the texture of my hair, and most importantly, my personality. She just "gets it". While she was away on maternity leave, I was in a panic knowing I'd have to have someone else cut my hair and when I did get it cut, not only was it mediocre compared to Savannah, but I felt like I was cheating! ha. I met Savannah during a stressful, last-minute search for a wedding day hairstylist. After some negative experiences with other stylists who couldn't do much with my fine, generally uninspiring hair, my cousin recommended Savannah, who has been cutting, coloring and styling her hair for years. I met Savannah for a trial, loved the results, loved her, and immediately booked her to do my hair on my wedding day, as well as that of my bridesmaids. Before the wedding, she also cut my hair so that it would better accommodate the curly/wavy, center-parted down-do that I wanted for the big day. I got the best haircut in my life from Savannah. Her attention to detail on my layers was impeccable. Plus, nobody has ever spent that much time on my bangs.
