Me and my partner love this coffee shop! We stayed at Savannah for a week and made a stop here nearly every morning (to our wallet's dismay). The drinks are all good quality, equal if not better than a well run Starbucks. The workers are kind enough, although not very talkative. The drinks can be a little pricy depending on what you order as the uncharges can add up quite quickly. Overall love this location, and would recommend it to anyone visiting! This is some of the best coffee you'll get in the city. They have an extensive drink and food menu as well as a wide selection of pastries. You're bound to find something here that you like. It's a quiet environment with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, and also a great place to get work done. They also have special events like high tea, murder mysteries, and an improv group. I explained this was my first time here, and the yelp reviews are what helped me make my decision. I must have come in on a VERY off day..... The salad was very good. The problems began when placing my order and being asked if was for here or to go, I said for here and was handed a number. This apparently did not translate to mean that I was going to be here. Which wasn`t explained until I went up for my refill and was told that no, it only applied to hot brew and tea. SCR was right next to my hotel and I'm so glad it was because the service was quick, friendly and efficient and the food and coffee were delicious. I got cold brews, mochas, etc and all were perfect and I had their breakfast plate and their breakfast sandwich. My only complaint was that their breakfast parfait was too sweet as they used honey, sweetened granola and a sweetened yogurt. Overall highly recommend. read more

I cannot say enough about Savannah Coffee Roasters. My friends and I attended their Libertea High Tea on a Saturday and were absolutely blown away. The food itself was delicious and the tea was varied. The presentation of the silverware was beautiful and the food and drink were brought out promptly. I've attached some photos of the food, drink, and presentation for reference. I wish I had more but I was so busy enjoying myself I forgot all about it! As for service, it was really the cherry on top. Presentation on food, drink, and silverware was delivered by Nan. She was extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about Libertea High Tea and Savannah Coffee Roasters in general. We were also helped by Heidi and Elijah, who were happy to serve through and through. As for our food, we had the spinach and pine nut quiche and the chicken and mushroom pot pie. Again, both were excellent. Good portion sizes too! For dessert we shared a slice of pavlova. The coffee house is cozy and nice. The coffee was good. But to go on about the Murder Mystery dinner from 'Odd Lot Improv Team' was a thumbs DOWN. It seems they were very unprepared for us, starting at arrival. The guy said he didn't have our place setting at the table and then quickly arranged it. Nobody was laughing. We tried hard to see the 'Improv', but they weren't even trying to make jokes. When he said 'Thank you for coming', we thought he was joking! When I arrived, there was a Yelp check in offer for a free cup of coffee! I got a coffee, an apricot danish pastry ($2.95) & a sausage roll ($5.95). They were great. The sausage roll looked like "a pig in a blanket". They also have a larger menu with various delicacies besides pastries. Although the seating area was very busy, I found a spot to enjoy my purchase. The baristas were helpful & polite.There was lots of seating options & free wifi. There were student study groups taking place while we sipped our coffee, this seems like a place lots of locals still visit. Also, parking on the street was available for us. It's not your run of the mill, trendy coffee ship which I loved. It has a great laid back, family feel to it. You order at the register, drinks are given to you and then you are given a number for the food and they bring it out to you. The iced coffee was real good. Brewed and iced just right. The delivery process of the food seemed as though it was in a bit of a disarray. Due to the large space with both indoor and outdoor seating, the staff delivering food seemed to have a difficult time finding the numbers. I'd been there before, but this particular day was the first time I pucked up the courage to order something. Their selections are so awesome, it can be a bit intimidating without some guidance. Tip: they have a menu that explains all of their coffee drinks. I'm a lover of coffee, but I haven't quite gotten all the varieties down yet. I was immediately drawn to their beautiful confections. At 10AM, I ordered a chocolate cannoli: don't judge. Along with that, I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon on an English muffin, and the drink du jour which was a Lavender Mocha. Here's the rundown: I love lavender, so the mocha spoke to my soul. I wasn't a huge fan of the cannoli though. The chocolate wasn't memorable, but for what it's worth, the inside was delicious. And the breakfast sandwich hit the spot. It's a little wait to get your order, but it was definitely worth it. The fresher made items are to die for. Well, at least to "gym" for. Try it out. As a coffee-fanatic, I tend to hop between various coffee shops within the area. I also believe in giving places second and third chances to earn my respect/business. To start, I've been here more than a handful of times, all through the span of 2 year, but sadly I seem to receive the same service. Neutrality with the staff despite my possible efforts to lift spirits with jokes. But a couple staff members have a bit of pep-to-their-step, which is highly respectable. But aside from service, the coffee is something this place is known for. There's a nice "shack" behind the counter you can watch the coffee beans being processed, as well as the kitchen open to view. It's rather quaint. The location and decor is very appealing. The food is simple and tasty, but the desserts in the casing look rather tasty. Which there will be a date I'll return to have a try. I wish I could give this place 4.5/5 stars. TL;DR - I will return here, for sure. read more

Terrible terrible service. Went there once for lunch and I'm pretty sure the lady at the register had no clue as to what was going on. Example we ordered sweet tea and they only had one glass worth left. Instead of advising is, she poured each glass half full and the other half with unsweetened tea. Let us know as she was bringing it out instead of simply asking us of we wanted to change our order or one of us wanted unsweetened. Food was good though, so we have it a second chance and got some coffee - seeing as it is a coffee house. At 8:30 am they had 1 barista and one cashier. Line was ridiculous and people were waiting 20-30 minutes for their drink. After I waited 30+ minutes I asked them what the hold up was (people who ordered after me had got their coffee by this time) and apparently the cashier never passed my order of to the barista. On top of this they got both my girlfriend and my drinks wrong - 1 was missing some syrup and the other was completely the wrong drink. However, by this fine we were so fed up we decided to take what we had and left. Will not be returning and would recommend you try one of the many other coffee joints Savannah has to offer as there are some good ones. read more
