Great chocolates! Savannah's Candy Kitchen brings the goods for all those guys with a case of severe sweet tooth at the Atlanta, GA airport. The staff are so expedient and friendly and all it took was a short convo to make me a believer in this small airport shack! Well, Savannah (the city on the Georgia Coast, I assume) has all those and more: like candy, chips, snack bars and chocolates filled with booze and liquor.. I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday with an expectation that it would arrive on his birthday for a celebration. On the day I expected the cake to arrive, late in the afternoon I received a notice that it would not come until the next day. I tried to call customer service and emailed using the contact info provided on the site. I never heard back. I followed up with another email and phone call, and still did not hear back. The cake finally arrived 2 days later than expected. Because I had no communication from them I had to throw away the cake, no knowing how long it was in the "mail". Finally 4 days later I received a phone call from a very rude head of customer service, Ashley. She called only to let me know that they would not give me a refund, would not take any amount off and not do anything to resolve the issue. When I pushed her on figuring out some type of resolution to the $90 cake that had to be thrown away, she replied with there is nothing we can do. I asked to escalate and she said she was the manager and escalation would be to the owners. I asked for contact information so I could at least let the owners know that their customer services was not customer focused at all. She refused to give me any contact info, other than the email that she monitors. I will never use this company again. It is unfortunate that the Manager of Customer Service can ruin the brand for a family owned business without the owner being aware. read more

I got a little of everything before heading off on a flight. I purchased S'more bark, a praline, a turtle and some specialty bark(can't remember) before departing on a flight out of Jacksonville airport. As I was on my flight eating the praline I was chuckling to myself; it was such a fabulous gift to myself! The next day while driving to work, I broke into the turtle. Even though I purchased it the day before it was so fresh and the caramel was so buttery; I wish I had purchased some to share at work. Overall my candy totaled 10 bucks for 4 pieces and it was worth it for me. They had a lot of other things I could have picked up and I was tempted but at the same time, I already had purchased a whole lot in Savannah to share. I wasn't able to find their airport location on Yelp; therefore, I'll write the review on this page so that everyone can get a feeling of their gelato taste. I got their gelato from Atlanta Airport domestic terminal area C. There are three counters including one for the ice cream, one for the gelato, and one for all the sweets and candies. Service here is very slow and the staff are pretty rude... Being located in the airport, you can't expect much for excellent service anyways. I ordered the double chocolate and cafe espresso gelato in a cup. Four stars for the chocolate one and two stars for the cafe espresso one. The chocolate gelato is pretty rich and creamy, but a little too sweet for me. However, the cafe espresso one taste very watery and the texture wasn't smooth... You just couldn't see the thickness/ the richness of the gelato when the server took it out from the fridge. Overall, I originally thought this was the only gelato spot in domestic terminal area C, yet there's another one called Pink Gelato in front of C13 if y'all want to try it out. Regards to the Savannah's Candy Kitchen, I may come back for the chocolate gelato, but definitely not for the cafe espresso one. read more

We were lured into this candy store by the yummy looking treats sitting in the display case. The shop is located near the middle of Concourse B in Hartsfield Jackson Airport. They had a mouth-watering selection for chocolate lovers: chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate covered marshmallows with sprinkles, chocolate bark, chocolate covered brownies, etc. They also had a number of pre-packaged items that would make cute souvenirs like bags of taffy and cellophane-wrapped apples--chocolate, candy and caramel. One of the ladies behind the counter was dipping green apples into caramel. She paused to offer us a sample of pralines from a platter that was behind the glass. Hearing her pronounce them PRAY-leens (instead of PRAH-leens like we do in Louisiana) made me not want one. I ended up getting a Rocky Road Bark instead. Not only did it look pretty but it tasted amazing. A foundation of milk chocolate cradled a layer of fluffy marshmallow, nuts and white chocolate. I also bought an Oreo Brownie as a gift. It was basically a thick brownie dipped in white chocolate and covered with Oreo. Later when I got home, I made the mistake of pinching off a tiny piece intending just to taste it. It was chocolate-smooth and brownie-fudgy with a crisp of Oreo. Even though it was super sweet I couldn't stop eating it...a few more pinches and it was gone. So much for the gift. Needless to say, trying to exercise willpower over these treats is futile, at least for me. I wouldn't hesitate to stop here the next time I'm passing through the airport. Even if my flight was on another concourse, I would make a pit stop to Concourse B for the sweets at Savannah Candy Kitchen. read more

The moose was pretty good, but save yourself some money on the pralines and just eat a block of sugar. Same thing. The pralines are SUPER sweet and not worth the cost ($3.78 or $17.99/lb for both). This little candy store is located inside the Atlanta airport. Specializing in fresh made sweets and Southern favorites it was a needed stop to pick up something for the 4+ hour flight to California. With onboard food so expensive or so bad for you, a little candy would go a long way. We bought a medium sized bag of Praline Pecans which were really good when we broken into the bag. The combination of sweet and the staying power of a nut did help out a lot on the flight. The folks in the store were helpful and even joked a bit with us while we made our selection and trust me, there is plenty to choose from in this location. I've been here a few times while at the Atlanta airport and it's always less than satisfactory service. I want to like this place because where else can I get candied apples for my family, but Today the service was particularly rude. It felt like the kid at the cash register didn't care about his product (the way he handled it) or our being there to buy it. I have been to the location in Savannah and the location in the Atlanta airport is a sad reflection of the Savannah location. While the pralines and the food at the airport location are comparable, the service is horrific. The attitude of the people who work at the airport location is worse than any other restaurant I have been to in the airport (and I do travel through that airport often). The staff at the airport location is rude, condescending and flippant. They are more concerned about joking and laughing with each other and their breaks and their cell phones than they are about serving the customers. I was looking on line for some peanut brittle and found Savannah's Candy Kitchen, after looking through the items they had I ordered their peanut brittle in the 2# tin. There shipping was somewhat fast but when I opened the tin I was sadly disappointed. The picture they showed had lots of peanuts in it and was shown heaping full with peanut brittle. Well my tin was only maybe at the most 3/4 full with brittle close to 3/8" thick with HARDLY ANY peanuts in it. I tried to include pictures and couldn't, after talking to Beth Stills in customer service they wouldn't refund my money (even with there 100% satisfaction guarantee) I'm not sure if this is how all their customers are treated but I've worked in retail a bunch of times and this isn't the way I was brought up to treat your customers.
