I have been a long-time customer, beginning about 10 years ago when SavATree purchased the small lawn company I had originally contracted with. Sadly, the new management at SavATree values only profits and could not care less about quality nor customer care. After seeing a significant erosion in the look of my lawn under the new SavATree ownership, I asked them to come out to have a look at my lawn. The tech insisted the poor state of affairs was on me, and insisted that pesticides and herbicides would fix everything. I have maintained an organic lawn for over 15 years with no issues. What? SavATree took no responsibility for a lawn that had been under their care for years. In fact, they tried to upsell me to buy more services! I signed a $3,500 annual contract with SavATree in Lincoln to keep my lawn healthy and rich. They did the exact opposite. My lawn turned into a sand pit full of weeds. Their treatment cards said the lawn was "great," but it was clear there were major issues. When I reached out, I was told there was a fungus and that fixing it would cost extra, even though I was already paying thousands for a full-service lawn treatment program. It got so bad that I had to hire another landscaper to reseed and fertilize just to undo the damage. SavATree then came and dumped more fertilizer on top, completely over-treating the lawn. When I asked why they would knowingly do that, I was told they were just following the plan for the year, even if it was harmful. I hired them to take better care of my lawn. Mr Rafael and his team of Mr Carlos Mr Aaron and Mr Marcelo as well as office manager (Ms. Maureen?) are an amazing asset to our community. An initial consultation helped our household avoid future bug damage from untreated years of storm damage. Mr. Rafael knew the names of all the trees and shrubs as well as being aware of how to foster their growth (treatment, trimming, shade removal, etc). His agile team arrived professionally attired and ready to work on time. Though some planties are a little crushed in the wildlife garden nothing in the formal gardens were damaged, including lawn statues cars ac units lighting furniture and power lines. delightfully patient with my need to keep some clippings. Worked closely to housing gardens and power lines with absolute grace and fluidity of equipment and nature. dont be afraid of prices; theres the clean up and then just maintenance which is great given New England winters. read more

I was more than pleased in working with the arborist whom came out to my home as they were polite and well informed. we discussed different lawn programs and tree care. the arborist was able to provide me with price quotes a few days later. The cost was a bit out of my price range and I explained I would need to get back to them. I had also gotten a quote from another company which was about 1,000.00 cheaper. when I contacted Saveatree back to have a better understanding as to why their cost was so much higher I was informed that they use products that do not have pesticide's, organic, and better for the environment. The arborist did attempt to see if they could lower the cost. I agreed to give SaveAtree a try. I had also told a colleague about contacting them for tree removal and see if they could speak to the same arborist whom I had a great experience with. I was displeased with the work that was done. The person whom came knocked on my door several times to ask questions about what needed to be completed after the arborist was present initially and explained. I have been using SavATree/Lincoln for many years. We recently engaged them to prune our gigantic backyard linden tree plus bushes and evergreen trees. Initially, we met with Arborist Hannah in January 2022 to walk through our yard to discuss the work (first pruning and later in the year fertilizing) and then in June Savatree crew Ivan, Cynthia, and Enio came and spent hours pruning. They were thoughtful in what they cleared away and brought shape to both the tree and bushes. It is lovely to have sunlight return to our backyard! It was a messy job but they cleaned and hauled away the debris. We highly recommend SavATree: Their cost is reasonable--especially considering the quality of work--and clearly everyone we have worked with cares about trees (you gotta love tree nerds!) and the environment. read more

I've been using SavATree (Lincoln, MA) for many years now; they prune my silver-tipped maple every few years. The Arborist, Jeff Borque, showed up on time and gave me a very clear and detailed estimate. He answered all my questions, and broke down the price on different options. It took a while to schedule the work, but then everything was done as promised, and they asked my opinion about things as they went along (had they taken enough off, or should they do more?) The guy who went up in the lift was even kind enough to take a peek under my solar panels (as I feared, something has built a nest ....), and they also took out a dead bush for me. In short, excellent, responsive, knowledgeable and good communication. I will stick with them! read more

They pruned my hydrangeas. The person(s) who did them was so stupid they cut off all the old wood. Surprise! No blooms this year. I asked them to stump grind a couple of areas. Not only did they not clear out any of the debris, they left soda cans all over the work cite. They sprayed my driveway twice for weeds. It was totally ineffective. Not after either treatment were the weeds dead and on the ground. Thriving weeds despite their treatments. When I asked for a credit, they simply refused and said they sprayed. They were going to charge 1k to treat my lawn for red thread. I contacted my local landscaper and they are treating my lawn for $250. In brief, they do very shoddy work for inflated prices- and do not stand behind their work. read more

I worked with Jeff at SavATree to get an estimate and ultimately schedule tree pruning and removal at my condo building. For the estimate, Jeff showed up promptly, we did a walk-through and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. Similarly for the work that was done, the SavATree team showed up right on time and did thorough and excellent work. I contacted SavaTree for organic lawn maintenance service. One of their arborists came to give me an estimate. He started saying that they are not cheap, and then went on explaining me organic, traditional, and hybrid programs that they have. I asked price quote for all three programs. I received a quote for 2 programs in couple days. I requested prices from some other companies as well. After receiving the quote, I asked some follow-up questions as quote did seem to include the full organic program. Person responding said she didn't know the answers, that the arborist would reach out to me. Arborist never reached out, so I followed up after waiting for more than a week. After the follow up, he responded but response was not full again, not answering all my questions so I followed up one more time. I waited about another week before asking again for an answer, and received a response. I decided to join the program but they told me that I missed the early bird full-payment deadline (by 6 days). I asked if they can re-consider as I am a new customer and that I missed their deadline because they delayed responding to my questions more than one time adding up to more than 2 weeks of delay. Unsurprisingly, they didn't respond one more time (three times mind you at this point), I had to follow up again to get a response. And this time very disrespectfully, arborist said that lack of answer from the manager should mean they will not make an exception and this is a very consistent approach on how they approach these situations. And he said he can cancel the program if I am not interested anymore. Quite honestly, I worked with a lot of service companies and have never seen such a shameless, disrespectful ignorance towards a prospective customer. They lack professional manners, they don't communicate in a timely manner, and they don't own their mistakes. It was not about money for me, it was about principle to understand if this company would take care of their customer and this event showed me that there is no way you can trust this company to be timely, to be professional, and to take care of their customers. I would strongly caution you working with them as there are a lot of good landscaping companies to work with who will do everything to make their customers happy, and sincerely apologize when they make a mistake. read more

These people completely wrecked my lawn during the summer of 2019! I had several confrontations with the person assigned to my lawn as to why they did not show up when they were supposed to kill things like fungus and cinch-bug. Having paid over $750 for their services, I got nothing and the service was terrible. I considered suing them but I decided to not waste my time and effort on a lost cause. BEWARE of what this company advertises for so-called "lawn care." Their services are inferior and there are many other companies doing quality work on the Massachusetts north shore. read more

Twice I have used them for a fungicide injection recommended by my arborist. As they were the only company that has the one he wanted me to use I had them do it two years ago and then this summer. They took forever to finally show up after multiple calls. This year they forgot me 4 times and finally showed up unnanounced to inject the tree after my arborist called them too. Then they leave the plastic applicators in for a month, saying they will come and remove them when I call weekly. I finally removed them myself after a neighborhood child started playing with one. Too bad their work isnt as prompt as their billing. read more
