I was so impressed that I ended up making a second trip just to pick one up as a gift for her, too! It's reasonably priced, especially for what many people consider a great dupe of a much more expensive sunscreen. I'll definitely be putting mine to good use on my upcoming travels and outdoor adventures. As always, Trader Joe's delivers on the things I love most - a clean, well-organized store, friendly staff, and a fun selection of products that always seems to lead to a some impulse purchases - whoops! The only reason for four stars instead of five is the parking lot. Like many Trader Joe's locations, it can be a bit of a challenge, especially during busy times. Fortunately, I lucked out on both of my recent visits and found spots without much trouble. Overall, another great Trader Joe's location. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town and need to stock up on my new favorite sunscreen... and, of course, I'll likely leave with a cart full of things I never planned on buying, too!

I haven't seen full shelves like this since... well, maybe never, but certainly not since 2020. Whatever you're looking for, you will probably find it at this Tops. They had their ribbon cutting ceremony today (: I wasn't able to go) for their Grand Re-Opening. Their people must have worked all night, many nights. I was there Friday and not too much was different; no clue to the pending changes. I was also there Sunday and Voila! a whole new store! New floors, new layout, many new products, a larger Goya section, a brand new Flash Food section, new carts. I didn't use the restroom, but was told it is a gem. I will get back to this Tops in a day or two-- it's my local Tops-- and I will take photos. Sunday I was too stunned to think of it.

The cashier was super friendly to them, having a full on conversation. When it was my turn the cashier didn't even acknowledge me nor say hello. She didn't give me my total just slammed my bag on the counter. I paid and she didn't say have a nice day or anything. I watched her with the white lady behind me and she treated her the same way. This cashier needs basic customer service training again.

I'm old enough to remember when Burlington was a "coat factory." This was the store to visit when…read moreone needed a warm winter coat, a stylish spring jacket, or a formal trench. But this store is not that (anymore). Burlington still has some nice outerwear, but they're a whole lot more than coats! I should get this out of the way early -- Burlington offers a five-star shopping experience unless you need a dressing room, in which case, a solid four point five stars. They have dressing rooms, but they aren't always open. I think it began during Covid, and my guess is, it's been hard to find good help and when you've got to work with a less-than-full staff, that's kind of the obvious place to cut. Anyway, I don't really know when the dressing rooms are open and when they're not, but they were not open a couple of days ago when I took my mom in to do a little shopping. Fortunately for us, there's no reason to test out their return policy. Burlington really is one of my favorite stops for clothing. They've got a really nice selection of clothes for ladies, men, juniors, and kids. I love their brands and the prices are super-affordable. There have been a few times I found clothes on the hanger that should have been in a bin to send back to the manufacturer - a rip here or a stain there. But most of the time, the clothes are exactly as they should be when you're buying NEW clothes. One of my favorite aisles at Burlington is the home decor section. The picture frames, shelf sitters, candles, wooden signs -- I just can't resist myself! They make great gifts or seasonal decor when I'm looking to change things out. Burlington has a rewards program or some kind of Burlington super-fan thing. I honestly don't know what it is, but if you give them your phone number every time you go, they find you and say, "yeah - you're in the program!" and then they ring you up and you pay them and then they thank you and send you on your way. I have no idea what else is happening, honestly. I don't know if I'm earning points or just giving away personal information. But they have a program like that if you're looking for one. Customer service is great. The cashiers are always friendly and nice to chit-chat with while you're checking out. Oh - and here's a tip -- don't try to take your cart out to your car. Trust me; don't even try it.

Judy is one of my highlights of the day. Store Manager Ashely (my fam calls her boss lady) is always working and taking care of this and that. The store is SUPER BUSY AND COULD USE A EXTRA PERSON HERE OR THERE.... lines build up quick. There is always another employee there to help. Store needs to have 3 cashiers and 2 people to help on floor, but For the most part I truly feel valued at this Dollar General. I most point out: Why is corporate okay with that poor women working everyday all day. Until the recent panic shopping this was the place I would get a lot of my basics from. The one thing that I find frustrating is that this store doesn't sell anything for black hair. I once saw a bottle of activator spray marked down to clearance!!! Like, an old ass 1980's jerry curl spray. And they had the nerve to mark it down to $5. That's expensive as hell for a blast from the past. Who the hell still needs jerry curl spray anyway? It's 2020. Nobody is just sitting around trying to let their soul glow. But, I digress. The other day I went in and the cashier asked if I was a nurse and he made sure to give me my little discount. He told me he recognized me and knew I was a nurse. After having worked my 12th shift in a row (all because of covid19), I was exhausted, overwhelmed and sad. That quick moment of kindness and acknowledgement meant the world to me. That particular cashier is always pleasant and nice to me but that just made my day. It's a great store and I'll continue to be a loyal customer.
