When visiting from the west coast, I absolutely make Wegmans a stop. It is the best grocery store in the country. From customer service, selection, cleanliness...the best!

Let me start by saying, I despise grocery shopping. But....Tons of selection! Produce looked great, options for my carnivores and vegetarians. Most of all, the staff were friendly and helpful. Ms. Kathy the cashier made it for us 10/10. She was so kind to my little one. There was no one behind us, she showed him how to scan food and now he wants to be a cashier. Thanks Ms. Kathy, you made Nemo's day and we look forward to seeing you again!

Wegmans is a dream combination of quality grocery + delicious prepared foods (and in my case, a dream for any gastronome traveler)! When I'm home I love to cook for my family, but when I'm traveling for work, trying to find a decent lunch venue after I get to my local hotel can feel redundant. Do I visit another chain restaurant? Try a local sandwich shop? ...oh wait, it's closed. When I'm in Buffalo, however, my first stop after getting my rental car is Wegmans. The prepared food options are abundant. Do I get a gourmet salad? Maybe some sushi? Am I at an extended stay hotel with an oven...because now my options have tripled! If I know I'm going to have an uninterrupted lunch, I always go for a mini charcuterie tray, small cheese sampler tray, and a bag of crostini. Nab a bottle water and single chocolate chip cookie all for under $25. Darn it...now that I've finished my review, I'm wishing I could run down to Wegmans!

Overall still 5 stars with a few minor caveats. The Good: Great selection of products. Fresh produce and meats. Best prices by far for most everyday items without waiting for a sale or in-store coupons. Very pleasant and dynamic shopping environment, with staff visible and at the ready to help the customer with a genuine smile. Seriously. Sometimes, they even go above and beyond. Example: bringing a shopping cart to someone clearly overloaded with groceries--you know, the person (me) who came in for "one thing"--without needing to be asked. Or the time I desperately needed a jump. I went up to customer service and asked if they knew of anyone who could help. In less than 5 minutes, an Asset Protection rep came along and had my car running just like that! The bad: they move things around a lot--great marketing tool, but frustrating as heck! They completed a massive conversion recently. I'll need to adjust. Not sure this even qualifies as "bad", just inconvenient. And, they are no longer open all night! And...they don't sell cots! Because if they did, I might just move in.

Love Wegmans! They are open late and have many convenient locations. I got the teriyaki crunchy salmon last night while stopping in for quick groceries. It was delicious! Even comes with side sauces included.

Do they sell already prepared and hot potato wedges? How big is their selection of American snacks look like? Sorry I am not a native English speaker?

They have a variety of different shaped frozen potatoes in the freezer section- maybe not a 'wedge' and maybe not as thick as you might want, but they should have something that you could use. A food the American snacks- there are AISLES of cookies,… Read more

Stormin' Crab offers their blue crabs one of two ways: Either added as a side to any boil (topped with your favorite seasonings), or served as a fried crab basket. The oyster appetizer (sold as six or twelve) can be raw or grilled. I adore them raw, and these are Bluepoints! They were plump, glistening, and had a great sweet and briney flavor. My husband's gumbo was thick with rice and andouille sausage, with baby shrimp. It also had a powerful black pepper kick. Very tasty! The boil arrived on a stainless steel platter in a large plastic bag, ballooned out with steam. We had chosen the butter, medium spicy. I thought the saltiness overpowered the flavor of the seafood, but your mileage may vary. Combo C had so much food we took a third of it home! We really enjoyed our meal here!

Update: subtracting 1 star because my kid got sick from the oily food. Never again…read more The staff was so nice and the facility is very clean however we just didn't care for the food itself. We ordered the cajun mix for crawfish and snow crab and garlic butter snow crab. All the boils are doused full of butter flavored oil (not real butter) which didn't allow for any flavor to reach your tongue or the meat. I may be spoiled with real Louisiana and Texas crawfish and seafood boils but the oil was so unpleasant. The crawfish was oily, flavorless, and tasted dirty. The crab was probably presalted and just reheated in the boil. I asked for some cajun seasoning and salt to sprinkle on top but there was just too much oil. I am disappointed with this type of boil and hope I can find a more traditional type with no oil somewhere in Buffalo.
