    a variety of snacks

Just moved to Buffalo, NY for a new job. During my interview I was sure to inquire about what opportunities that I would have to buy lots of vegan food. One of the individuals in the interview let me know that they had a vegan grocery store and in that moment I need I had to stop there and check it out for myself. It was literally my first stop. I mean after all what's a new apartment with out all the goodies you need to be comfortable. Especially during a pandemic. I got there about 30 minutes before they close. However, everything in this store was so organized which made the items I was searching for super easy to fine. In addition, to organization the store was very clean which was a plus. A small hiccup for me was that some of the items were a bit pricier than they would in some stores I typically frequent. ( However, that could also be seen the difference in shopping per state) Either way it doesn't bother me because with the pandemic going on it is especially important to support small and local businesses. They accept SNAP benefits which is also pretty important. The cashier was super polite. She let me know that in a week or so they would be moving across the street to a bigger location so that's exciting.

Oh what a sweet little treasure!! It's not exactly centrally located, but it's well worth the drive. Not only for the selection and the fun of shopping without having to read a single label, but to support a local business. Ok listen to this ..... vegan corned beef!!! Ok it wasn't available right now ( it can be ordered) , but I've been searching for it forever! They have everything from vegan marshmallows to laundry detergent. I know your thinking ,well besides the marshmallows what did you buy? Well I also bought Cowgirl Steaks, Udon and Pho , hot dogs, Tuno fish,Chik'n Veggie pot pie, Buffalo Chik'n pot pie, Turk'y Ched'ar & Broccoli pockets, Ham style & Ched'ar pockets to name a few. I've tried some of these things having received them from that store as a Mothers Day gift basket, and they were delicious. So I was excited to go there myself. The service was wonderful , kind , caring and helpful. Now for my not vegetarian or vegan friends, don't worry, be brave and try the food. You will be amazed how far vegan and vegetarian food has come from the old days of yuck. It's delicious and so many meat eater friends incorporated vegetarian meat into their menu just because they like it. So here's a great place to try things you like but in vegan versions.

The very best of the best I'm so happy I found this in North Tonawanda. This has everything you need for your vegan needs! The prices are the very best! The owner is all about customer service! Her sister owns the black heart Cafe across the street

I am shocked that I have yet to write a review on The Vegan Grocery Store. While I have been vegetarian for almost six years, I went vegan this past year. This was my first Easter where I needed vegan chocolate in my basket. My parents went in April for the first time (yes, my parents got to go before me, haha!!) and they came home with a bunch of stuff.... mainly for them. My mom went crazy talking about how awesome the store was and how she found this and that, but all she got me vegan chicken nuggets. In the land of vegan candies, snacks, pizzas, and frozen treats galore, you got me nuggets?? Come on mom?! Back story aside, I finally got to go on my birthday back in June for the first time. It was part of my gifts- buy whatever you want. Indeed I did. I get anxious easily, so the first trip was a sensory overload. NoWhey, GoMaxGo candy bars that veganize all of your favorite treats, Greyston Bakery (the brownies and blondies are moist with a capital M), May Wah meatless alternatives, local favorite Yeah Pierogi, the list goes on. Sure, they have some products I can find at Wegmans or Walmart, but most of the things they sell cannot be found locally. Just recently they moved to an even larger location across the street, and they have small carts to use now too and even more product. Their old location is now Little Black Heart Coffee Cafe, which was the small coffee bar that was previously behind the counter. Every trip to the Vegan Grocery Store is special to me. The staff is so friendly and we chat every time. I once had an issue with a damaged candy bar (all the caramel leaked out and the bar was empty, likely due to shipping issues in the Summer), and they kindly refunded me. Some of the prices can be a bit high, but if you were to buy the online it would be more expensive. Besides, shop local. I don't do my normal grocery shopping here, but it is always worth stopping by every few months to stock up on fun vegan finds. Give them a follow on Instagram to stay up to date with all the new products that come in. If you see something you want, go and get it. I made it in time for the vegan pumpkin pie, but missed out on the vegan advent calendar. You never know what will sell out quickly!!

Are you a vegan whose tired of reading food labels at your local grocery store just to find out they added dairy to something you never thought would have dairy in it in the first place ?! Well well well, then look no further then an entire vegan grocery store where you wildest no reading label dreams can come true ! Haha, okay I'm done. But seriously, this place is amazing ! I love just waltzing around, shopping for anything that my lil ol taste buds desire without having to whip out my magnifying glass to read the ingredients list ! And, the best part is this cute little grocery store also provides vegan products that I have yet to see anywhere else locally ! Even Whole Foods. From frozen goodies, to candy, to snacks, you name it this place seems to have it !

Bunch of food and snacks for around 100$ not bad at all! Yummmmm!

I've been a few times (I would come more often but I live so far away) but every time I visit I always find myself pleasantly surprised and amazed. I love the fact that I can walk into a store without having to read ingredients making sure it's safe to eat! Haha. Love the all vegan grocery store. To it's lovely helpful staff, wide variety of foods and snacks, fair pricing, usage of brown free bags, and new location which is larger... I'm just in love. Will definitely make more of a effort to come more often.

WNY now has an all vegan grocery store!!! This small shop has lots of hard-to-find and never before seen items. There is an impressive selection of candy, frozen items, refrigerated items, snacks, condiments, compostavle plates, laundry detergent, and more. This place opened two days ago and was already sold out of some items. They restock every Thursday and will order things by request as well. Keep an eye on this place. More good things to come, no doubt!

I love The Vegan Grocery Store. It's family run which is super awesome and they're always so friendly when I come in. It's so nice to be able to walk into a grocery store and not have to check the labels for once. They offer a lot of products that are hard to find or just not sold anywhere close to Buffalo. They have a lot of staples like broths/bullion stocks, sauces, vegan proteins and then all the good junk food vegan stuff like pizzas, candy, ice cream along with a coffee bar behind the register. You'll also find a small section of handmade soaps, some household cleaners and pet food too. The pricing is really fair and on par with other grocers who carry some of the same items. I love that they are always open to suggestions on new items or brands to carry. They really listen to their customers! Whenever possible, I always shop here first instead of going to wegmans because I think it's important to support small businesses, especially during covid.

    A cute nook!

I want to focus my review on a positive customer service experience I had. Recently, I placed a large Meals2Go order through the Wegmans app. When my order arrived, we discovered that one of our subs had been mixed up with a sub from someone elses order. Unfortunately, it was for the one gluten free person in our party- so, she was out of luck food-wise until we could get this fixed. When I called the store, they were apologetic and offered a great solution. The manager on duty offered to drive over our sub for us and managed to get it over to us within about 40 mins. She was incredibly apologetic and included a handwritten note, a tub of regular cookies, and a pack of gluten free cookies too! I appreciate that they went above and beyond to fix what could have been a night ruining issue. Wegmans has always been good to my family over the decades and that incident was no exception. I couldn't recommend it more. Watch the viral concert clip of Tyler, the Creator on YouTube if you need more evidence on why Wegmans is awesome (warning - strong language used).

They had everything I was looking for and at pretty reasonable prices. The bakery section had some fabulous looking desserts that I would love to come back for in their sushi. I was also super intrigued by the restaurant that they had and I saw that they also do trivia which looked really fun. Overall, a perfect Whole Foods experience!

We ordered the Berry Chantilly cake, large, said feeds 12. Cost was 38.00. I am not a big sweets eater but when I do cake I normally want butter cream frosting. This cake has changed my mind and added something new to my pallet. The cake was delicious. The Chantilly frosting was a mix between buttercream and whip cream. The cake is not overly sweet, was actually the perfect bite. The cake itself was moist, with plenty of berries. It definitely could feed more than 12 and we were cutting nice size slices. I highly recommend if looking for something different.
