Technically, the Savers doesn't open until tomorrow, but I happened to pass by when they were doing a soft opening last night and picked up tons of stuff. As far as I can tell, it is going to be fantastic. So many great selections! This location used to be a Ralph's, so it's pretty huge and there's tons of parking. I love how organized it is, at least so far. Hopefully they're able to keep it that way. Clothing is organized by type and size, and even the books are organized by genre. The price range is really reasonable and what a thrift store should be, unlike the Goodwill down the street. Can't wait to come back! read more

The only reason I would come back to Savers is for books (the prices are reasonable and if you buy a certain number of books you get another one free or half-off or something). The clothing however is ridiculously overpriced. They try to sell brand name items at retail prices, which would make sense if it weren't all used clothing. Like, why would I purchase a banged up, faded, old t-shirt for the same price that I could go buy a new one for? And it's not like these are high-quality, vintage designer items that we're talking about. No joke, a lot of the used clothing they sell here is just as or more expensive than similar items purchased brand new at Ross. If you're looking for clothes, don't waste your time here; go to Salvation Army or Goodwill. read more

I went for books and board games for my students. AMAZING selection. Young adult chapter books were 1.50 and all books are buy 4 get 1 free. All games were complete with all pieces- I even got apples to apples with unopened card decks. Extremely clean and well organized. The employees were also very friendly. Wow. Wow. Wow. I can not believe the shopping experience I had at this store. The first thing I noticed was the organization of this place - all the clothing are categorized by section, then type, and then size so neatly that it created a beyond pleasant shopping experience which was comparable to, mmm, a TJ Maxx store. Also noteworthy was the cleanliness of not only the store itself but the clothes as well. The selection of items is AMAZING. All the pieces I chose were in Like New condition. I came home with a Nanette Lepore black cutout dress for 1/16 of the retail price (around $400), a Haute Hippie 100% silk dress (ranges from $300-$900), a cotton Vince top, a James Perse jersey tank dress, a cotton Joie top, 2 Anthropologie brand shirts, and three pairs of Nike shorts for my son. The damage, or rather "un-damage", that was done came out to under $90! As I write this I am still in disbelief. Where do they get all this unbelievable stuff?!?!?? Selfish of me to say but I hope not many others find out about this place. At the same time ironic of me to say since I'm posting on a site where anyone can discover it. But it was such a good experience I had to do Savers justice where it is due. Mad props to them, I'm a lifer. read more

Savers is amazing! I work close by and love going here before or after work to kill some time. They have an awesome book section where most of my collection is from. I'm always picking up books from here because they're priced fairly and they have a deal for the books. For every 5 you buy, you get 1 free! Different selections for everyone in the family. My favorite clothing section is athletic wear. Most of the sporty clothes I own are from here and there's always new stuff whenever I come by. They have the best sales! Major holidays = 50% off. I got Roxy high top shoes for $3 and a bunch of jeans for $2+ For clothes, this is the best thrift store in the area. I love how they hang the jeans at an angle. Genius! It's so much easier to look at. Honestly, if they didn't hang the jeans this way, I probably wouldn't even bother. Jeans all look the same and I easily get overwhelmed. I only wish they had more furniture, but I understand it's an issue of donations. read more

Although I did like how big this store was, I wasn't that impressed with their prices, it is suppose to be a thrift store right? However there were some items I found for cheap prices, but I also ran across shirts that were the same price you'd find in a store new. Could have been a fluke, but it wasn't name brand. However I did appreciate how everything was nice and neat. There's lots of room to wonder around. They have people helping you with the dressing room (you even have to take a number), which was nice. They had lots of cash registers open and they take credit card, which always helps. Over the loud speaker you will hear them tell you when they are bringing out more merchandise, so that's always fun. Overall I'd say this place is worth a visit. You never know what you will find at a price you're willing to pay. They do have lots of merchandise and if you bring stuff to donate, they will give you a coupon good for a % off your next visit, which is pretty rad! read more

So I've been donating here for a few years now. I love that I can come by 7 days a week after clearing the house and after we've made a donation I bring my little one in to get a "new" toy or two. She's always happy to come and I'm happy that the store is always clean and organized! Today we received exceptional service from David outside in the donation zone. He refused to let me help unload our stuff and was just an overall happy guy that provided great customer service! We will continue to come back! read more

Very clean for a thrift store and there are treasures to be found, at times. Still, much of the quality merchandise is vastly overpriced, so shop with this in mind and be sure not to overpay. I use websites such as eBay sold listing to insure that I don't overpay. This is, in spite of these drawbacks, a regular haunt of mine. read more

Since the store installed all the self check out checkstands last week. It is madness.. This is the first weekend with only one full service check out for people to go to with exchanges. Long wait 20 minutes in line. Cannot use the self check checkout. Also, people using self check out are taking a long time to use the machines. Check out Line wraps around the store all the way to the purses area. Need more full service check out cashier besides the self check out stands. read more

I absolutely love this place! As well donating our family's clothes..books and movies .. I love shopping here. I got my kids a solid oak 6 draw dresser for $40!! AMAZING!! Pro: Relatively well organized. Savers is set up like a typical clothing store, with items arranged by size. Let's compare this with the sheer stupidity of how Goodwill does it -- by color. Actually, no we can't, because Goodwill closed down. Good riddance. Con: While there are still bargains to be had here and there with a bit of homework, wise shopping and a generous dose of luck, in general prices are getting a little ridiculous. It's getting to be a waste of time to shop here when you can go retail, choose the precise size and color of an item you want, brand new, for close to what this "thrift" store is charging for used items. This is completely inexcusable given that their inventory, aside from paying their workers to accept and and sort donations, didn't cost them a dime. Sure, you still save a bit, but ultimately the question is: What is your time worth? My prediction is that unless something changes, and changes quickly and drastically, greed will lead this store to the fate of the Goodwill that closed down across the street. read more

I bought an electonic item at this location and one of the managers promised me to give me my money back if it didn't work, I could not try the item at the store because they were closing. This manager never said to me about exchanges. He promised me my money back, to my surprise I went the next day for my money back and one of the managers told me that the manager I had spoken with was on his day off. The manager that was at the store called the manager to verify what I said and the other manager that was on his day off said that the day before he had spoken to me about that there is no money back, only store exchanges. I'm very disappointed because of this so I stopped donating at this store or did any purchases at this store again. I wish there was a minus star rating for this type of experiences. Management has to be more serious when they say or promise something to a customer. Never doing business again at this location. read more

Besides everything being so overpriced considering everything is donated, the management or managers of this place are not only rude but very annoying to deal with. I was very happy to have found some items at a bargain for once when at the counter I am told sorry these aren't the correct prices! The manager is as called because I insisted this was ridiculous and he in turn took the item to the back room looked up a similar item on line and priced it as though I was purchasing it on that website FULL PRICE! I was appalled and shaking from anger because apparently I was being treated as though I had somehow changed prices. I had to then of course decide to just leave the item which turned out that when I got home I was actually charged for the item! The item had been taken away yet I was still charged for it! I am very upset even writing this review. I was the one accused of trying to steal through changing prices according to them but I was the one robbed here by charging me for an item I was refused to purchase at the price I found it! Easy. Friendly. I had a car load of donations. Clothes, shoes, bags, suitcase, housewares, knick knacks. Yelp says they open at 11am. I was there at 10:50am. Went to the side to drop off donations. There were people working there already. Looks like they have a special lane for drive through. I parked since I did not know what to do. Asked the lady, and she said take one of the giant bin with wheels and fill it up. Filled it to the top. Wheeled it back. A guy asked if we need coupon or receipt. He gave us a blank receipt to fill. They took everything. Did not even check. No wuestions. It looks like I could have gone through the drive through lane (coned), and probably just open up my trunk, and they unload them? But I was not told that. Maybe I was there too early? I will try to use the drive through next time, and hopefully they would help unload. read more

I came here sunday and found a beat up dresser in the furniture section my first thought was i could renovate it DIY project in the making. So i called an associate over and told him i wanted to purchase it, he wrote me up a receipt told me to go pay for the dresser at the register and bring him back the receipt which is what i did. He them told me it will be placed on hold for me (had to go get my truck for it to fit)since its mine i paid for it. I came back an hour later with the recipt and the associate says "do you see your dresser?" I said (no you guys put it on hold i paid for it) he goes to the front to talk to the supervisor she walks over and says im sorry looks like we sold the dresser. Excuse me???!!! A nice, clean, organized and non stinky thrift store...heck ya! Have found nice gems...the north face jacket, Lucky Brand, tons of Old Navy most looking brand new or slightly worn. Great selection, this might easily be one of the biggest thrift stores in Los Angeles County. That said, I still have two major problems with this store. First off, some times the prices are great (if you look hard enough you can get a bargain) but other times I find items that are way too expensive. Way too expensive. Lastly, I've donated bags full of items to the donation, multiple grocery bags full of clothes/etc at times, and I've only gotten 1 coupon for 20% off. I understand it's only a donation, but jeez throw out some bigger discounts. Pretty whack, but overall definitely check this place out. read more

Came here on july 1 for their 50% sale. They really dropped the ball with their holding system. We had two items placed on hold (their policy to bring them up to the registers and hold them there til checkout) and one of the items was sold to someone else! They couldn't even keep both items together. The only organization they care to spend energy on is to wrap a roll of paper and write the customer's name on it. Only way we lost our held item is if someone else had the same name and checked out with OUR item (which doesn't make sense because someone else didn't pick it out) or they didn't bother to write our name down. At the end, they couldn't even be bothered to offer us anything, a future discount or anything after going through the entire store to PURCHASE what we wanted. Come on, even grade schoolers have better organizational skills. Really shows the level of problem solving skills by management. Huge thumbs down. read more

This is the place if you're looking for books and/or Hawaiian (or as I like to say old man vacation) shirts. The book selection is huge. Think of it as a tiny bookstore situated inside Savers... Yeah that might be an exaggeration but this is seriously the biggest selection of books I've encountered at a thrift store. Also it's buy 4 get 1 free! The clothing selection is alright. Some of the items are overpriced. I left with a Gap denim shirt for $2.99. Pretty satisfied. read more

I like to donate clothes, fashion jewelries, shoes, etc to thrift stores thinking they will sell them cheap or in reasonable prices. I usually donate to Goodwills but since Savers is new, cleaner and the people are friendlier, lately I kept going here to donate my old stuffs. Today I finally came inside the store and I was shocked how expensive most of their items for sale. One plastic beaded bracelet for $3.99, very tiny figurine $4.99, white horse statue that Wells fargo free give away for $4.99, etc. My daughter is planning to give away a lot of her beautiful fashion jewelries but got shocked with the prices that they were selling them for so she is now hesitant to donate them. You might as well go to 99 cents store or Wal Marts or even yard sale before going here. You can buy the same bracelets for the same retail price or cheaper but brand new. read more

Savers was the first thrift store I had ever been to and I still keep coming back. I personally prefer it over Goodwill because it is much more organized and the retail space is cleaner. I really appreciate how they organize their clothing by color, which makes everything easier to look through. I've found a lot of unique pieces here that have become my closet staples. They also give out deals if you donate your items. If you're just getting in to thrifting, Savers is definitely a great choice. read more

The last time I was out in this part of town, Ralphs had just closed and the contractors were piling the metal display shelves on a flatbed truck. A year and a half later, here is Savers, a sprawling 'mega'thrift store that donates to several charities with spotless floors and uniformed employees. At the front is the glass jewelry case- with no watches or jewelry of note. The only thing there was a Petri SLR that handled as if it went over Niagara Falls in a barrel... twice. And then to 'nam. $40. I passed on that and went to the CD/LP section. I reckon based on the size of the parking lot, stock moves quickly here, so all I found in the dollar LP section were played to death Christmas albums and Streisand. Great selection of books. One downside is that each is priced by its original price and not the usual dollar hardcover and fifty cent paperback. Odd to see the butcher department taken over by electronics and gadgets. Rolled with it and found an old Coleman stove for $40, and an old mimeo machine. Would have bought it but the platen was very dry and cracked. As I was walking to the men's section, a very enthusiastic volunteer told us shoppers over the intercom that there was a new cart of men's clothing coming out of the back. Excitedly telling us several times, she unintentionally sounded like the best of Madden's Sunday Night commentary. But of course, by the time I got to the denuded cart, all that was left wouldn't be considered men's clothes, but costumes. By the afternoon, the men's section is full of loud dress shirts and old suits. Which is great if you're Oedipus or Lady Justice, but not any good for the rest of us. Come early. Come often. Also baffling is the store's method of hanging men's pants. At 45 degree angles and seemingly ready for someone to jump in, right on the racks. It may be novel, but is it practical? Not in the market for pants, so didn't try. Addendum: returned there this past week and found someone bought the Petrie camera. Guess they're planning to go over Niagara once again. read more

I'm writing this review as I am standing in line for about 35 minutes now to try on clothes. I love this place. My first time here was last Saturday and I've been here everyday ever since. I'm mostly here for Jeans because jeans are so hard to find, especially ones that fit well. But the brands and quality that I've found here are awesome and that's what gets me to comeback! Also today Monday, they had 50% off all clothing and other stuff. This place has made me want to start thrifting more often! Things i've got from here are: 5 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of Capris, a Vcr player(lol), and my boyfriend got a heavy duty office stapler ! I've never had service problems here and they are all nice and friendly. Although the first time i came here i donated 4 items and i got the coupon and i got 3 or 4 stickers on it so i was able to get i think 20% off my purchases but the next day i came back it was a different guy and i donated a huge box of clothes with maybe over 40 items in there and i only got 2 stickers and only got 10% off my purchase. So i'm not really sure how it works but I'm still glad that they give you coupons to spend in store :) read more

I've been coming here for years and the new pricing system SUCKS! I mean come on 24.99 for jeans? That's going to be a no from me. I brought my mom and she noticed the home goods prices were marked up as well which is a total bummer when you find things that are broken but still priced at 6.99!
