Came to savers to look for a costume. Its not quite Halloween so it was pretty slim pickins. Found one..bought it...wrong size..came back to exchange. The manager Marjorie was called to do the exchange and holy hell if I ever met someone who looked and acted like they hated their job and everyone in and around it. I wanted to ask her if she was ok cause she looked like she was about to rip someones face off but just then she gave another employee sass right in front of me, another worker & customer. I couldnt believe she was so cocky and didn't give 2 shits about it. I dont work retail but i do work customer service and let me tell you, she needs to move on. So if youre reading this Marjorie...please change careers. Whether you work at Savers or Neiman Marcus, customers and coworkers don't deserve your shitty attitude. This is where I come to find common items that are at discount. Not sure where the items come from, but this is very similar to Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores. Prices can be a bit high for some items, but it is for a good cause. They support several different non-profit organizations nationwide and locally. They have daily HALF OFF items based on the color code on the price tag and EVERYONE gets 25% off on mondays; tuesdays are seniors chance and wednesdays are for those military connected members. read more

Stacie the manager at this location is very helpful and pleasant to work with. She helped me set up my club card and volunteered to retro my purchase from yesterday. i was really appreciative. The store itself was nicely organized and clean. I found a bunch of cute clothing AGAIN! I never thought i would ever be a fan of a thrift shop, but let me tell you Savers are different. Their stores are all filled with nice bargains and cute clothes. Yes, somethings could be priced a little more reasonably. But keep in mind you are helping a charity so it is ok to pay a little more than other thrift shops in my opinion. I made donations so i had a 30% off card with me today. I spent nearly $60...but if i had gone to Ala Moana, i would ve easily spent 10x as much. Yay Savers. Keep up the good work. read more

My favorite store. Started here buying maternity and nursing clothes, and have never looked back. Whatever I need, they have. From warm clothes for a winter trip, to kids' books, to cooking gear for a camping trip, Savers has it all. The atmosphere here is great compared to Goodwill or Salvation Army. The air conditioning is cool, and the music hits the right mix of slightly obscure oldies that makes me want to stay and browse for "new" jeans for an hour.... read more

Savers is pretty much Goodwill with a different name and logo. Currently the only thing that separates the two is that Savers carries more yard sale hardware type items. Such as kitchen stuffs, old electronics, toys, etc. Goodwill in recent years has started to shy away from these types of items, more focusing on reselling clothing. Me, I was looking for one of those restaurant style napkin dispensers. Why? For some reason, all those types of napkins seem to pile up and are just now thrown in a plastic zip-lock bag on our counter. I just want an easier way of keeping this stuff organized. I figured that I found that exact type of thing at Savers in two different states on the mainland, so why not try looking here? Unfortunately, no dice. That doesn't mean you should not look for what you are searching for. I noticed they had quite a bit of old pyrex stuff here as well. Just need to clean it up a bit for a fraction of what that stuff retails for. Good deal. Also I noticed that this joint has a really good assortment of Aloha shirts. I really didn't need one (cause I have too many as it is already), but this is a good place to browse some old style Aloha shirts. Anyway, shares a parking lot with Max's (http://www.yelp.com/biz/maxs-of-manila-waipahu), so go eat their fried chicken after you're done shopping. read more

My sister makes fun of me but I love shopping at Savers. It is my go to store whenever I need "new" clothes. I love digging through the racks and coming across really great stuff like Armani Exchange jeans for less than $10.00 or a really nice Guess dress for $15.00 (original price was around $70.00, tag was still on it.) This Savers might not be as big as the Dillingham one, but it's close to my home and the lines aren't usually very long. Lines are long on Holiday sale days (Labor Day, Memorial Day, etc) BUT almost everything in the store is at least 50% off. It's also a great place to find pieces for a DIY Halloween costume. I found some of my costume for the CMYE at HUGS there. Parking might be a little difficult sometimes since there are so many businesses in the same area but the deals you get inside are worth it. read more

I go here for Hawaiian cd's, odds/ends and decorations that are either rare or hard to find, or just unique. That day, I scored about 20 -21 cd's for $100, I'm a happy camper, lol. Prices off course are very cheap and reasonable plus you can find great bargains on brand names, new or used. The store has this old musky smell but what can you expect, this is the smell of different nationalities donating their clothes, furnitures etc... for a good cause, ample parking, bathroom located around the corner of the store, lol - the bathroom keys are attached to a cutting board, have fun shopping and remember you monies spent here is for a good cause, aloha. read more

Savers...oh I how I love thee! Best thing about this place is tons of stuff that is really well organized. Most of it is priced reasonably, although sometimes I have to laugh at some random high price tags. Anywho, I generally wait until their 50% off sales to save even more, unless I need something in particular right away. Bonus for club card members is you get the sale the day before everyone else does. Sign up for the card at the register and they will send you emails on sale days and special sales for club members only. I've found a ton of designer jeans here for dirt cheap, bought most of my bath towels & sheets here (towels $1.50 on sale days, sheets $3.50-5 on sale days) and many were in new or like new condition. Also if you donate bags of clothes they will give u a punchcard for up to 30% off your next purchase. read more

Managers are rude, seen them treat their employees unprofessionally. No greetings in the entrance at all, all you get is in the entrance is a stink eye. I know it's thrift store, but service is always the number one important thing. And don't treat your employees like #%%#%% in front of customers. read more

Savers was fun! It's heavy on the clothes, of course. Some racks of kitchen stuff and decorations, a few racks of books, accessories, crafts stuff, etc. I did get two unopened packages of eyelash crochet yarn for cheaper than retail but not a phenomenal deal. They have a wall of "grab bags" small items packaged together and priced as a lot. It could be kind of fun :) The place was clean and well-organized. I love this store! I went here with a friend who has lived on island her whole life. If I hadn't had her guidance, I never would have known how great it is. They have SO MUCH STUFF! There's such a big space, lots of different kinds of items; kitchenware, books, movies, kid's toys, men's and women's clothing, swimwear, prom dresses-- EVERYTHING. One of my favorite things was the healthy-sized comic book section in the far-left corner of the store. The staff were super helpful and they also have color-coded tag sales (a la Goodwill) to cycle inventory. It's so exciting to find what you've been looking for. I left happy shopping here. I came here specifically to find me a vintage old film camera, and a couple plain t-shirts, which I am proud to say I shopped in the men's section for. I like the big baggy ones, preferably xxl. They're super comfortable. Anyway... Looking for the camera, I came across a few and bought 2 recently, they usually come without batteries or you'd have to go to CVS or Walmart to buy new ones, and of course new film. They didn't have a huge variety but the amount I found was pretty decent, you can't really expect to have much because these are basically slightly used items and people just donate them to get rid of them, it's not like they restock them as an average store. You get what those that donate give, pretty much. I wish they labeled the area to find them with specific types of things because I found this camera under electrical, while expecting to see electronics. Safe to say, I can stay in this store for hours looking for all types of things which can be very exhausting, cause there is so much! Hope to find a vintage record player one day :) Also, I came to shop for a Halloween costume for my son and it was very cramped, I couldn't even push the carts in the aisles. The costumes were cute but just messy being put away from customers in the wrong sections and not much options for toddlers. Everything is new, so that's a plus for the holiday, that'd be kinda weird if they had used costumes so I'm glad that's not a choice. Lol. I love Savers! I can usually find one or two really great finds here. I like how well-organized it is, and for a second-hand store, it's pretty clean. The one thing I don't really like is how high the prices are. Some of this stuff...well...you could pay just a bit more and get it new. So make sure that you're actually getting a good deal when you come here....but otherwise...enjoy! read more

I have been here many many times and today was one of my better scores. I have a business buying and selling authentic designer items and this place is great. I found all authentic Prada, furla, Oscar de la renta, Kipling, Marc Jacobs and juicy couture. I got such a good deal on them and that's not the only time I've had great finds here. I've been shopping at Savers for years. Mainly to save money on clothes but Savers seems to be the only place where I can shop and find a lot of clothes that fit in just one trip. I wear small sizes and most stores just don't stock much in my size to begin with and usually it's all picked through (and expensive). I don't like shopping so it gets really frustrating to spend a lot of time shopping and not have anything to show for it. At Savers I find top name brands of clothes for a fraction of what I would pay elsewhere and I can get several tops and pants in one trip. So many used books! I didn't look at much else because they have several shelves devoted to used books. It was organised by genre. The books in each genre weren't terribly organised but that's still reasonably helpful so I didn't mind lingering to see what was there. This store would have to be my most favorite thrift store ever! I used to come in weekly and get the cutest outfits for my whole family at a really good price. They even have video games!! If you ever need a Halloween costume always go to savers, their Halloween section is so great, they have everything and it's such a bargain. Everyday there is a color tag and it's marked half price, sometimes they are hard to find but when you find them it's pretty darn exciting!! My husband and I are not thrilled anymore with the Waipahu store. We were long time loyal customers and spent a lot of money there. But I returned an item and got a refund and had to rush back to work because I came on my lunch break. I returned on Saturday to use the credit and I was told I lost that credit because I didn't use it on the day of the refund. I was not informed of that policy. Their prices are sky high. I even had a top that I loved only to find out that according to the Ross' tag, Savers charged $5 above their price. We (our friends too) have decided to boycott the Waipahu store. read more
