This has been on my fiancés bucket list for a while so I'm glad we got to experience this on our recent Disney trip. Upon arrival, we checked in and they had my fiancé pick out the style he wanted for his lightsaber. There are 4 options: Elemental Nature, Peace & Justice, Power & Control, and Protection & Defense. They also give you a special pin. Then you pay for the experience before you wait in this holding area. Once you enter the room, each builder is guided to their own station. They bring out everyone's parts based on the style they chose. The cast members truly make the experience magical by staying in character and walking you through the process. I will say they do go very fast once you start building. Some people were confused but they do have cast members walking around to assist if you need help. After everyone is done, they do a small lighting ceremony and then give everyone a carrying case to protect their lightsaber. All in all, the experience took about 20 minutes. It's pretty pricey but you are paying for the experience and you get to take home a cool customized lightsaber. *Note: If you will be walking around the park for the rest of the day and don't want to carry a huge lightsaber around, they hold them for you at Droid Depot. It's located right next to the experience. You can pick it up before the park closes at one of the registers.

"Dad, I want to build my own lightsaber! We can do that in Disney. Let's do that please. It's kinda expensive. But we get to build our own lightsaber!" So, there's my second reason for this particular visit to Disneyland. My young son has grown to become quite the Star Wars fan (in his own rather cute way; obsessed with the light, obsessed with being good). I spoke nothing of this as I didn't want to risk disappointing him *IF* anything were to happen as he really locks onto (and keeps) promises like it were a binding legal document. Not to mention, knowing how he gets, we would not have enjoyed anything else in the park until the "mission" is complete. (Though an appointment was recommended, someone had advised me that it wasn't necessary on weekdays as there were multiple openings throughout the day if you were willing to be flexible.) We made our way around most of the theme park as we had done in the past before heading towards the Star Wars area. It really amused me watching his attitude slowly shift as we got closer. His eyes eventually lit up as he turned to me and said, "DAD, I know a place here where we can build a lightsaber!" Long story short, he asked every person in uniform or anyone peddling lightsabers where this workshop was. Everyone in true Disney form gave him all the attention he could hope for and directed him closer and closer to the workshop. Once there, he started conversing with the staff using theme lingo that made me feel quite old and outdated. All I had to do then at the right moment was pass them my card and wait in line with him. It was an interesting experience - short but sweet. Watching my young one being this excited, happy, and carefree...is easily worth any dollar and effort. It was a really short workshop but it allowed fans to geek out quite a bit (as could also be observed with the other adults in there with us)...and that just adds to the overall magic that Disney already offers. Build your own lightsaber - check. Feel like you're part of the resistance - check. Harness the force and become a Jedi - check. Walk out like a boss - check. Priceless.

Overall very cool experience and worth it for a Star Wars fan with money to spend. If you research it beforehand you'll know what to expect, as I've seen a lot of negative reviews regarding only having 4 options or not pleased with choices. Watch a few videos before you go to see if you'd enjoy it. Also, some reviews stated the cast members were not fully in character or they acted rushed, which was halfway true. You can tell they do this often and have it memorized and speed up a little bit, but they're trying to get through many groups. Our main character was still great even if she was fast or moving through the motions. We had no issues with picking handles and I was able to watch over my husband's shoulder as he built it. We didn't feel rushed personally but we can see how someone going into it blind could feel overwhelmed, as they move to the next step pretty quickly. It's a basic twist and screw on build, so my husband was able to try a few different looks and keep up with the instructions. The experience itself was very fun and cool to watch, I feel it's worth it for the money because you're paying for the experience as well. You get a free carrying case along with your saber and you can buy extra crystals ($15-20 each) if you want to change out your lightsaber's color.

I had to drag my fiancé out of this place! lol Savi's Workshop - Hand built Lightsabers can easily be passed up if you don't know that it exists. After going to the droid depot, we went looking for the lightsaber workshop (that is what I call it lol) It is not that easy to find. We walked around for a while and then eventually found it. Once inside, my fiancé was like a child in a candy store lolol He wanted to buy all of it. Like literally lol My school of thought was, built one lightsaber and move on. Build one droid and move on. But noooo, he wanted different lightsabers lol Anyway, great shop! Cool concept. Love that you can customize and build your own unique lightsaber! How awesome is that!!! Love it. But also, we don't need five lightsabers laying around the house. lol

Worth. Every. Cent. While I'm not exactly well versed in all things Star Wars, I am a fan and have been a fan ever since I saw Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope in the theatre. And no, it wasn't some special throwback showing in the movies. But I digress. Being able to build a custom light saber in Savi's workshop was such a memorable experience. I enjoyed the immersive experience and ended up with a pretty cool, high end, purple light saber (like Mace Windu). The entire process was well thought out and organized. The only minor criticism I have is that you end up waiting a lot for the experience to start. But once it does, things go quickly. The cast member leading us through the history and meaning of our crystal selection and building our custom light saber was very good. Other cast members helped us (definitely needed in my case) to assemble and test our light sabers. And the piece de resistance at the end, where we all raise our light sabers... well let's just say, I felt the power of the force! I've been wanting to build a lightsaber at Savi's for sometime now, I finally had my opportunity last week and it was definitely worth it. You're not paying for the lightsaber, you're paying for the experience. The entire thing was immersive and really fun. We were lead into the workshop and the cast member running the workshop was great really helped us dive into the feeling and environment. After the introduction we got to work building, the staff are there to help but don't get in your way, they assist if you need them but if you're doing fine they leave you to it. There is great storytelling involved and the end of the build experience is fantastic. I had a great time and love the lightsaber I built, it's mine and not just one I grabbed off a shelf. The only reason for the one star dock is that they are not really well organized for arrival. When I signed up it says on the page you make your reservation on to show up 15 minutes early and you're reminded of that again in your email and on the app. I showed up 15 minutes early only for the cast member at check-in to ask me to leave and come back at my designated time. I told her I was arriving 15 minutes early per the page and email and she tells me "yeah we get that a lot and it doesn't work, it's too confusing you need to come at your time." If it's not working out and confusing why not change it? Why are they telling you over and over to show up early just for the cast member to turn you away upon arrival? Other than that the experience is incredible and definitely worth the cost.

Savi's Workshop is the shop/experience in Galaxy's Edge where you can create your very own lightsaber. It definitely costs a pretty penny, but if you're a huge Star Wars fan, it may be worth the price for you. My husband and his sister did the actual Lightsaber experience, but myself and our friend got to attend as viewers. The experience began with the Lightsaber attendees gathering around a circular table with a middle area that the instructor stood in. The instructor was excellent and stayed in character the whole time. She was very stern and was not having any horsing around during the activity (this was her character obviously, but also probably having to actually keep people in line, in a fun way). The participants chose their Jedi disciplines (Power and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental and Nature, or Protection and Defense) and that influenced which Lightsaber they'd be building. It is probably best to review what each of these disciplines means before your visit so you don't feel put on the spot to pick one in the moment. Each Lightsaber builder next chose their Kyber crystal (which determines what color their lightsaber will be). It's important to note that this is not permanent and you can purchase extra Kyber crystals at the shop and change it out to whatever color/s you want later. After the Kyber crystals were installed, the instructor then gave each participant a tray of Lightsaber pieces that they connected together to create their Lightsaber. Once each participant finished their Lightsaber, it' was time to light them up. This is where things got a little dicey, because people (as I'm sure you know) cannot follow instructions. The instructor was wanting everyone to light up their sabers on the count of 1, 2, 3 for a cool effect of lighting up the whole room at once. But there were people just lighting them up the second they were done building, on the count of 2, etc. The instructor was getting a little bit for real annoyed now. When we were done, each participant got a long padded carrying case to protect their Lightsabers and make it portable for ease of carrying safely around the park afterward. My husband protected his with his life and only pulled it out to threaten some Stormtroopers that were walking around. The Lightsaber itself isn't the highest of quality or anything, but the cost of this is actually in the experience of building it and doing the whole activity. Is it a little over-priced? Definitely - and that's the one star ding of my review as it costs over $200. But if you're a huge Star Wars fan, I'd definitely say you will enjoy this a ton and the cost will not matter to you at all.

Savi's Workshop at Disneyland's Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is a fun and memorable event! I will admit it is a bit pricey, but you pay for the experience. The passionate cast members genuinely embody their characters, infusing a sense of adventure into every moment of the lightsaber crafting process. The ability to customize and handbuild your very own lightsaber, you and the fam can truly feel the Force. This shop isn't merely a retail space, it's a vessel for crafting memories as radiant as a lightsaber's beam. Another thing to note is we had to return to the workshop to get one of the saber's fixed the next day. The hand grip was loose no matter how much we tried to tighten it. It was easy to get taken care of, the cast member took it to the back and was done in about 20 minutes. Given that we had to return for repair, test it out before leaving the park just in case anything is faulty. This place is a must-visit for any Star Wars fan. One of the coolest experiences I have had at Disney. I have never gotten a lightsaber before and i believe this was worth it as the character light saner by itself without the blade is already estimated $200. The blade attachment costs at least $60. I paid a total of $237, and what you get is the pin, the Hilt and 31" Blade, Carrying Case and the whole experience. Although if you are reading this, you must have seen or read how the experience is, I would just say come experience it yourself. No amount of reading or watching will let be able to give you the same experience of being in the atmosphere, the music, and the blade that forge.. The only thing I will recommend is to really think about what sort of Hilt that you want. First thing to do, make a reservation on the Disney App. Pick a time slot and then arrive 10-15 before. Check in and pick one of the Hilts, and be sure because you have to do this before you pay. There are 4 types, Peace and Justice, Power and Control, elemental nature, and protection and defense. You have to pick one and you will receive a pin depending on which one you picked. Another tip is that you sort of have to choose quite fast from the parts of the hilt, so make sure you have an idea of how you want it to look like. Lastly I would suggest that you think about what Kyber Crystal you want, blue, red, purple or green. I picked the peace and Justice, although I had picked power and control first, but decided to change for the blade to match more towards the "good" side. I thought with the power and control that it for sure had these red accents but realized there were certain parts that didn't have red. If I do make another one I will for sure go for that one, and maybe a purple crystal. I was able to bring my family in (you get to bring 2 people with you to observe) which pretty much made this one of the "shows" that they also experienced. I hope your experience will be as great as mine after following some of these tips. Emerge in the experience, enjoy, and may the force be with you.

I tagged along with two friends who reserved a 3:15 pm appointment. The appointment is to build your own custom lightsaber at Disneyland Star Wats Galaxy's Edge. This endeavor is not cheap. It cost $220 that includes the basic customized lightsaber. Added doohickeys cost more. My friends made the reservation weeks in advance. Reservations can be made on the Disneyland app and can be made 60 days in advance, which is highly recommended. Each paid guest gets to bring 1 guest. They accommodate 14 builders (and maximum 1 guest each) per session. At the time of booking you have to give them a credit card. If you need to cancel, you must do so over 24 hours in advance or you will be billed the full fee for each reservation. They ask you get there no earlier than 15 minutes early. Once you get to the location, the cast member will check your reservation and show you the the four themed light saber building kits. You choose from the four theme options: Peace and Justice (Jedi inspired), Power and Control (Sith inspired), Elemental Nature (nature inspired), and Power and Defense (ancient Force inspired). I suggest you do research prior or come early to take a look at the theme choices because once you go inside, you have to make your choice within a couple of minutes. Anyway, the cast members play up the whole secret hidden location from the First Order. They hustle you into the work shop. I mean literally push you through. They play up the whole skit of hiding from the First Order but actually they book these reservation in short increments and want folks in n out as quick as possible. They didn't let us in until 3:24pm. Our session lasted 15 minutes. The whole experience seemed rushed. Once inside, a cast member goes into a monologue about the lightsaber and the kyber crystal. The cast members show you the 4 choices of hilts (aka handle) and kyber crystals: blue (Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Rey), green (Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Ashoka Tano), violet, and red (Darth Vader, Kylo Ren). The color of the crystal dictates the color of your light saber blade. From your choices, the cast members bring out the other light saber parts. They will talk you through the assembly. But everything was rushed. No dilly dallying. They only had 2 cast members to help 14 guests. After you assemble your items, you place the entire handle into the side of the table. The lights are turned off and the top half of the closed portal opens with the light saber blade. The light saber is all aglow. After that, you are given an carrying case and hustled out the door.

A really awesome experience. The price might feel a little steep, but character lightsaber hilts go for $150-$180 already. This experience includes building your saber custom, a pin, a crystal, the blade, and of course the experience itself.

Don't cross the swords. I'm going to say this once, OF COURSE I WANT TO BUILD ONE!!!! And here you shall, from start to finish have your very own. The whole building process isn't very long. I think it lasted about 30 mins but you are fully immersed into the experience. You wait in a holding area outside, till the next session. We made reservations but it looks like you can do a walk in. There were three people in our group. We stayed in the back filming, while our son was at the desk creating. Disney went all out on this warehouse. The set looks like what a rebel hideout should look like. Our story teller/instructor, led the group (5 students but room for maybe 12) step by step in the process. Also there were two helper to guild the Palawans. All three of the actors were great. You build your hilt, then pick your color crystal, add the blade, and bang you have a lightsaber with appropriate sounds when waved. I got a joy watching and the kid has a fantastic souvenir to take home. Plus to keep it safe you receive a foam traveling sleeve. FYI: Hawaiian Airlines treats this as a separate carry on. Overall five stars. If you're a Star Wars fan, MUST HAVE!!!! I would recommend either picking the first class or last class. You'll be dragging this all day and it may be a hindrance when getting on rides. But for now I want to sign up. Now excuse me, Star Wars resistance ride is next. M

AMAZING!!!! Savi's workshop is totally worth it if you're a Star Wars geek like us, and you want to custom make your very own lightsaber, if you just want to copy Luke or Yoda's a lightsaber, then just buy the replica at the shop - they sell the exact replicas in the stores for each character. Savi's workshop is for people who want to make their very own CUSTOM lightsaber that is unique and means something to YOU and only you! You must make a reservation for this experience and although they hold your spot for $237, they'll need you to pay it when you check in and refund you the deposit. Don't be late and you just show up to avoid the cancellation fee, which is the full deposit. After signing in and paying for the experience, you will choose your lightsaber hilt (handle). There are four to choose from: 1). Peace and justice (this looks most like Luke's if you're asking), 2). Power and control, 3). Elemental Nature (most like Kyle Ren), and 4). Protection and defense. Unfortunately, they were out of the power and control, and the protection and defense, so we had to choose between peace and justice or elemental nature. If you didn't want to choose either, then they'd cancel your reservation for free. We chose elemental nature because it looked the coolest - loved the animal tooth end cap (so cool!!!). Honestly, the elemental nature hilt options looked the best and much more legit than the plastic looking parts in the other three hilt options. After choosing your hilt, you're led in (of course after giving them your secret card to enter and showing them your VIP pin - these are given to you after you pay), and they begin telling you the story of the lightsaber as you begin building. Attendants will assist you with building when needed. FYI - If you're a family of four like us and your babies don't take much room, then all three of you can be "guests," and one person can be the "builder." I had to ask many people to get this answer! After choosing your Kyber crystal (this is where you choose the dark or light side). We chose green because, ahem, it's the best color (Yoda's bada** lightsaber!!!!). After putting together the lightsaber hilt, and choosing your Kyber crystal, you then place the hilt inside the compartment in your building area, and everyone's lightsaber will come to life and start glowing - super cool!!! My son LOVED this part! They give you a black padded carrying case (yes, you may take it on the plane with you - be sure to place it in the upper compartment AFTER everyone put their bags in, so that it doesn't break or get smashed). This lightsaber is heavy and very well-made. Highly recommend for all Star Wars fans!!!

Building the light saber is a cool, immersive experience, but I'm extremely disappointed in the price to quality ratio of the end product - your light saber. Honestly, it just feels like Disney was careless about a lot of things. The parts don't align well - and the excuse is it's supposed to be scrap metal parts. The biggest problem I encountered though was something that could have been avoided had Disney chosen to actually test their product better. I chose to build a peace & justice saber. At the end, you're given a bag to hold the saber. Unfortunately, my saber doesn't fit in the bag correctly because the emitter I chose is apparently too fat to fit in the bag they gave us. Seriously? This is the result of a $200+ experience? They couldn't bother testing their fattest emitter in the bag? Disappointed in you Disney. read more

This is an amazing immersive experience where it takes about 20 minutes to build your own custom lightsaber. Here are some tips learned from our experience today. -Get in line for the workshop as soon as you get into the land with your wristband. The line to pre-pay a lightsaber and return build time was closed/sold out within 15 minutes of my 8am Galaxy's edge entrance time. We waited 55 minutes to go through the line and pre-pay and then got a 10:05am return card. Many people who underestimated the workshop's popularity were turned away between 8:15a-11a. -Only 14 people can build a lightsaber per 20 minute session as there are that many lightsaber workspaces. -You can choose from 4 styles of lightsaber to build and the staff show you cards of your options while you're in line to pre-pay. -They have a loosely enforced policy of allowing one person (whose not building) to accompany you into the workshop for the experience. -They give you an over the shoulder carrying bag at the end of the process. read more

One of the things I missed on first trip to Batuu was Savi's Workshop, but on my second shuttle reservation, it was my first stop. The Gatherers are a very private group that are constantly scrutinized by Kylo Ren and the First Order which means the Gatherers can only accepts a limited amount of Builders each day to maintain their secrecy. If you want to create the weapon of a Jedi, I suggest heading straight here after landing on Batuu! Savi was a friend of Lor San Tekka who found a map fragment which was the key to finding Luke Skywalker on the planet Ahch-To. Before Lor was killed by Kylo Ren, he gave the fragment to Poe Dameron which eventually allowed Rey to find Luke Skywalker. Like Lor, Savi is a believer in the ideals of the Jedi Order and helps pass Lor's knowledge of Jedi lore onto the next generation of Force-sensitives. On Batuu, Savi has recreated a salvage business to cover the Gatherers true purpose, teaching Force-sensitives how to create lightsabers. Savi's Workshop ( https://bit.ly/2ZBY3wS ) is located just to the left of the Droid Depot if you are coming from the Hungry Bear Restaurant landing point on Batuu. I took a wrong turn through the Droid Depot (the Force was playing games with my senses), but Erica's Friend Lindsay was unhindered by such issues and was already near the front of the line when I finally arrived at the workshop. Once I made it to the front, I was vetted by a Gatherer to make sure I wasn't a spy for the First Order and given an admittance card ( https://bit.ly/2Xw1mZ6 ) with a return time to create my lightsaber. With card in hand, I was free to wander Batuu and I heard the Gatherers were no longer taking any Force-sensitives as I was leaving the workshop. Be warned the Gatherers expect punctuality and because of the clandestine nature of their operation, if you miss your return time, you will not be admitted into the workshop. If you lose your admittance card, the Gatherers will think you are from the First Order and they will claim ignorance of any lightsaber ceremonies being performed in the workshop. The Gatherers told me I could return with one companion and I chose my better half even if she doesn't believe in the Force. Younglings who want to become Padawans must have someone with them who has seen Batuu circle its sun at least 14 times because lightsabers are not (cheap) toys. Rohlinism: Toy becomes a relative term when large sums of cash are involved! When I returned at my admittance time, the first thing I had to do is pay the Gatherers 215 credits for the privilege of creating my own lightsaber... the Gatherers don't working for free! Once the transaction was completed, a Gatherer asked me to pick one of four lightsaber: Elemental Nature Peace and Justice Power and Control Protection and Defense After choosing the lightsaber I wanted to create, a Gatherer gave me a corresponding pin ( https://bit.ly/2FreXGM ) which told the Gatherers inside the workshop which parts to provide me with for construction of my lightsaber. Next a Gatherer walked myself and the non-believer (Laina) into the workshop ( https://bit.ly/2N9SrbO ) which was lit by Tuantaun Earwax Candles and to my station. The station ( https://bit.ly/2Kz5gKU ) has a stand for my completed lightsaber and a Gatherer came by and placed a box of parts ( https://bit.ly/2Y7oRVn ) on my station. The first choice I had to make was which Kyber Crystal ( https://bit.ly/2WYCB3F ) was going to power my lightsaber. A Gatherer helped guide myself ( https://bit.ly/2WYQsHc ) and thirteen other Force-sensitives in the chamber through the crystal selection process which included closing my eyes and visualizing the crystal I should select to power my lightsaber. When I opened my eyes, I knew the Force wanted me to choose a Violet Kyber Crystal which was used by Jedi Master Mace Windu. In days past, younglings would have to go out and mine their own crystals as part of their trial, but times have changed and the Gatherers had done this labor for me. Once I was provided with my crystal, it needed to be inserted into the crystal chamber before the hilt could be assembled. With the crystal seated in the chamber, I was able to assemble the rest of the hilt ( https://bit.ly/2ZIz8ro ) and a Gatherer came by and inspected the weapon after I was finished. The final step was stabilizing the crystal ( https://bit.ly/2x8gxsJ ) in a chamber at my station and the Force must have strong in the chamber that day because we were joined by the Force spirit of Jedi Master Yoda who helped join the Force-sensitives to their lightsabers. With my lightsaber activated ( https://bit.ly/2RvZcmW ), the Gatherers provided each Force-sensitive with a case to carry our Jedi weapon in and our group was free to leave the chamber after completing one of the final trials to becoming a Jedi. With the weapon of the Jedi in hand, all I needed was my robes and I would be ready to confront Kylo Ren and the First Order! read more

We've done Savi's workshop twice now. First time was for our son's 10th birthday. The experience was awesome. The staff inside performing the ritual We're great. The staff outside registering and at the register were very rude. Lightsaber lasted 1 month before it quit working. Contacted customer support but said they can't help me unless I had a receipt. Unfortunately it is in nearby landfill so we're stuck. Lesson learned. Almost 2 years later I repeated as our son wanted to try again. I also treated my wife for an experience as well. Staff at registration was very polite and nice. Great start! Staff at ritual were awesome. Everything was going great. During ritual they asked us to pick two crystals to keep. What?! Big and new bonus as last time it was only the sheath and one crystal. At end of ritual we all left happy. What I realized was we forgot to pick up our sheaths. No worries as I kept the receipt and we were going back two days later. When I approached employee to talk about it, she interrupted me and very quickly told me the two crystals was a comp as they ran out of sheaths that night. She said bring back a crystal and they will give me a sheath. Good luck with that as it was all in the room. I asked why wasn't that communicated...I was interrupted at this point again and was told the exchange deal. Thanks for the empathy and good customer service strategy. Sad day for my son. We travelled from Hawaii, stayed at a Disney Property. Got reservations for galaxy edge. Son really has his heart set on building his on light saber. We went straight to the workshop and got in line. 12min after the start of our 4hour block, we were told sold out. Adults and kids alike cried. I understand dealing with let down/ disappointment, but c'mon. 12min into the opening of the section, 8:12am sold out! Very very disappointed. Piss poor planning Disney. If I could give no stars I would. read more

My build was on 6-23-2022. Savi's has been a dream since I am a Star Wars buff and was so looking forward to it. However I was really disappointed. Upon paying I was notified due to shortages one of the sets was unavailable. It wasn't the set I wanted so I didn't mind. However inside, due to shortages the set I was given was missing two pieces and the guy next to me had stuff missing also. I was offered to build a different set but chose not to. If you are a Star Wars buff and have a design in mind I would wait and buy a legacy lightsaber instead since they had no idea when they would get stock back in. If you don't have a specific design in mind then it was a great experience. read more

This is for the ultimate fan. You get to build a lightsaber from scratch and it comes along with the theatrics. For about 15ish minutes, the characters talk of the story of the lightsaber. Then you get to personalize 1 of 4 lightsabers that you picked in the beginning. One guest is allowed to tag along and geek out with the person who purchases it. That person probably needs a guest so the guest can take plenty of video and pictures. You can only participate by making reservations ahead of time. This is a very pricy activity FYI. Great experience for building your own lightsaber. You really feel you are part of the Star Wars saga by going through this. The price is $199 plus tax but the quality of the saber and experience is worth it. You choose 1 of 4 themes and select the parts according to those themes. 4 kyber crystals to select are blue, violet, green, and red. Strongly recommend for fans. read more

Building your own custom lightsaber is definitely pricey but watching my nephews enjoy every single moment made it all worth it! We checked in for our reservation time and the boys selected their styles. After a small wait (luckily there were some shady areas) we were welcomed inside and everyone building lined up around a large table. I won't give the details away but the whole experience is fun, entertaining, and the lightsabers are pretty cool! I highly recommend this experience for the Star Wars fan in your life. read more

I love the idea that you can make your own custom lightsaber but I hate the fact that you have to make a reservation to give them money like, me and my family and I went and regretfully they declined my son and said we have to make a reservation but the only openings were like a week later. read more

THIS PLACE IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! Listen listen at first I was like no no no I'm not paying no $200 for a dang kids toy. And then I started looking at the reviews and I was like hmm okay okay MAYBE. So after some thinking and investigating it seems that other than this, droid depot, and the millennium falcon are all that there is to do. With that in mind I sacrificed my $200 and went big on my saber. I don't want to spoil anything but the journey was intimate, themed, and overall pretty dang cool. There's no better feeling than being able to create your own lightsaber and within the four options you are provided it feels pretty personal. I would spend the money again if I could plus you can change the colors for $13 outside of the shop. Definitely worth every penny. read more

I was in need of a new trick saber to have fun and do some tricks. So one day, I wanted to go and check out Disney's Galaxy's Edge while it was new. And while I wAs lookIng at all the fun shinanigans at Galaxy's Edge and found Savi's Workshop I went inside to check this place out. I went inside and it looked AMAZING. As a die hard Star Wars fan myself, I loved the style of this place. As my son and I pick our kyber crystals and our hilt together on our lightsaber. We prepared for haviNg $200 go down the drain on this as we had lots of money saved for a vacation. After that day, my son is living the at Star Wars dream I wished I had as a kid. read more

The visual experience was amazing as the staff member running the experience did a beautiful job making everything very immersive. However, the building experience should've been better. My experience was subjective because the staff member who was helping me with the building process was rushing me to make decisions of what parts to use (she even chose one of the parts for me when I told her I was still thinking of which one I wanted) and when I wasn't able to immediately screw on a piece she would take it from me and do it herself even if I didn't ask for her help. For $219 + tax I should've been able to actually build the lightsaber myself without being rushed; the staff member should've explained how to do it when I asked for help instead of taking the saber from me and doing it herself. The saber itself is really good quality, the handle is solid metal and has very good weight. The saber's light is super bright and vivid in a dark room and it's allegedly durable enough to play-fight with. Also the kyber crystals are hackable, so while there are technically only 4 official colors, you can buy a certain recoding device on eBay for ~$20 and make your lightsaber any color you want (I recommend looking up a video on that before trying it out yourself). read more

Well I hate to say it but while the experience is cool the hardware was defective. First the hilt didn't work right. The assistants helping me build it forced the hilt so much that it caused multiple defects. Sound was muffled, the hilt cane apart. There is a minimum 3-4 second delay in effects. Worst money ever spent for a third rate item. I took it back 3 different time and on my 4th trip back they refused to refund my money and left me with a $200 defective mistake. Still with the hilt disconnecting and still with a 3-4 second delay. Never going back. read more

Don't even bother showing up at the "mandatory" 15 minutes prior. I did that today only to be told come back at the time the appointment is scheduled. I was mad because I rushed to get there 15 minutes before to not be late only to be told to come back. They should remove that mandatory 15 minute to check in to not lead people the wrong way. read more

The experience was great and the lightsaber was cool...for two months. I had it mounted on a wall for 2 months and it no longer works. This would be fine if they were willing to send me a replacements housing. However, the return policy is only good for 30 days. Disney bends over backwards when you at the park but apparently after you leave they are done trying to make things "magical". Either way if you want to do the activity go for it but don't expect them to stand by their product. read more

Like the rest of Galaxy's Edge, Savi's is very well done and would be appreciated by all those who have a love for Star Wars. As a life long fan, an experience like this was something I could only ever dream of, until now. The experience is fun and interactive, the setting is authentic, and the crew members involved do a great job of making the moment special. The lightsaber itself is movie quality, all pieces are metal (except for the chassis and the blade). It feels like the elegant and powerful weapon that you would expect, and your ability to customize it and really make it your own makes a Savi's lightsaber even more appealing. $200 definitely isn't pocket change, but for me it was worth every penny. Due to the lightsaber's quality, this really is something that can last a lifetime, and the experience that comes with it is priceless. read more

An experience that my son will never forget. Building your own lightsaber then activating in the end is what every Star Wars fan should experience at least once, that is, if you don't mind the 199.99 credits to enter. Will be headed back in July to build my own and probably pick up a legacy lightsaber. read more

A little pricey for $200+tax for a light saber. However, the immersive experience was worth it in my opinion. My husband and I throughly enjoyed every minute in the workshop and we were extremely proud of our finished product. If you have a little extra disney $$ to spare, this one is a must. the moment you check in all of the excitement and hype you had in your mind starts to slowly drain away... almost fifteen minutes late, left waiting out on a bench, we're finally brought in to start crafting. the speech is fast, it's not a short speech, it's just delivered quickly in order to get the next group in promptly. you get zero time to play with or test or compare the different parts to see how they look together. you 1000% need to have your category picked and build done in your mind before even starting the process. without exaggeration you get maybe 10 seconds per section to decide between pieces and your Sabre is start to finish done in maybe 45-60 seconds. when there's four sections and three guys walking around making sure you're manufacturing correctly that sixty seconds collectively feels like ten... it sucks. Ten seconds to experience, enjoy, revel in a $250 "toy" that probably should have been spent on something else all together... I think everyone that's done this is lying when they say it was an awesome experience. Like a virgin grabbing their first shoulder and telling his friends he went under the bra for like an hour. Too embarrassed that they spent all this money on a decorative toy and say half of the money was on the awesome experience to cover up the shame... The LightSabre is definitely cool. Has some good weight too. all of the exterior components are metal, but manufacturing was a bit lacking. When tightening the sections the designs don't line up. The dude even said "yeah they all do that, just don't tighten it all the way." Bruh...... for $250 this should be perfect, with no wiggles wobbles overlaps or loose fitting grips. One part that was cool, I picked a green crystal, went to the shop after to get red crystal. i say to the woman "hopefully I'll pick a black crystal..." with a confused look she says "hope? There is no hope, if the dark side wants you to have their kyber crystal it will choose you..." I got black on the first try. woo woo. read more

So I arrived for the 5:05 half an hour early on June 29 2022. I was allowed in, 3rd in my group so the 7th person to enter the waiting area. While waiting I can hear one of the "saber crafters" talking to the employee with the tablet and gesturing towards me And telling her "check this shady guy out". So the employees name is Crystal rudely asks for my name and keeps asking for my name multiple times, which I keep giving to her. At this point I'm confused on what's going on she shows me her tablet and asks if any of those names is mine. And I point to my name and then she tries to make some kind of excuse that I wasn't on the list when she was asking for my name. Idk if she was happy she gave me a hard time and told me to go wait in line. Is this cuz I was the only single person without a guest? Idk was it the fact that from the group of people I was the only Mexican in the bunch? They did not give anyone else a hard time about it. I was ready to ask for a refund but I saw the shift swap on the "saber crafters" I wasn't going to be happy with that guy. Everyone else was 100 golden. For my birthday my family bought this for me as they know I'm a huge Star Wars nerd. Building a lightsaber was supposed to be the highlight of my Disneyland trip. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were told to wait in a cordoned off area after choosing our metal (4 different types...I chose "protection and defense"...can't remember what the other 3 types were). Finally we were invited into the area where we'd construct our lightsabers. A story is told by one of the cast members about the importance of the lightsaber and some other Star Wars lore. We were then given a choose of 4 different "crystals" that determine our lightsaber colors for our lightsabers (red, violet, green and blue). Next we chose all of the components that relate to those colors (I chose green, but I thought the components for violet and red were cooler...but that's just a preference thing; I don't know if it was possible to have red lightsaber components with a green crystal). After constructing the lightsaber shaft, a cast member inserts it into a tube where the final component...the light "tube"...is attached. Then we are all asked to pull the lightsaber out and raise it in the air and turn it on Ok. All sounds great...except several of my components didn't fit and they kept swapping them out for different ones. This happened 4 times. The biggest issue was my lightsaber never lit up (so I didn't geek to experience raising it up and showing everyone my glorious lightsaber. Oh well. I had to wait outside after it was over for a cast member to bring out a working one for me. But honestly the most disappointing thing was that mossy of the cast members weren't really invested in the roles. They could have done so much better. If I'm paying over $200 I would hope the experience of creating the lightsaber would be the emphasis. The final product is really good quality. But overall I was dissapointed by the "experience". I imagine depending on who is working that day it may be a completely different experience. Wouldn't recommend it read more

Are the lightsabers annoying to carry around the park and on rides?

Very much so! A lot of the lap bars on the roller coasters are hard to put down flat so it won't interfere with safety restraints. We have sheaths to carry around the park, but some unlucky guest still gets hit by the base if our sheaths.

For those new to tufting,…read moretufting is essentially a texture manufacturing process where you insert yarn into a base fabric to create rugs. The lesson first starts off with choosing a simple base design. Our instructor specifically recommended a design with simple lines and colors to make it easier for our first ever rug, which was around $70. Using a projector, you will trace your image onto the fabric as a template for the rest for your work. Before starting with tufting, we then moved onto a mini tutorial on the ins and outs of using a tufting gun, from yarn insertion to how to create straight versus curved lines. Keep in mind you have to put a lot of pressure on the canvas to ensure that your yarn is being threaded correctly. Going through several practice sessions definitely made the transition to the entire tufting process easier. Starting our rug, we soon recognized how difficult and time consuming the rug tufting process was. Even simple design like ours (a cartoon dog) was a long lengthy process than anticipated and we ended up spending 3-4 hours for completion for one of the smaller size rugs. We were recommended to start from the inside out and using one color at a time, inserting lines of yearn about a fingers width to ensure completion of our rug. Though we initially struggled with creating finer lines, we eventually got the hang of it and were able to successfully complete our rug. Our instructor transitioned us into the final process, teaching us how to trim our rug and prepare it to take home. Personally based on the instructor teaching and supplies available, this class was well worth its price point. Overall, I would say tufting is an impressive skill that I learned for the first time and hope to come again to create more designs!

Not as good as previous years. We went in Sunday. I'm not sure if vendors had already packed up or what. Value was not there. Service was fine, people were nice at the booths. Just disappointed in the convention overall. It seemed to be not as good as previous years.

I'd also like to talk about the prices, always retail and never priced up like other figure stores. This place is great for your average collector, someone interested in collecting or a gift for child/young adult. This place has the best customer service I've ever seen a collectible store like this have. This place only sells items brand new in the package and I highly recommend checking this place out anytime you are in the orange county area. It's right next to the Honda center, angel stadium and Disneyland. So there's always a reason to go there!

Review 95/365 Day Challenge…read more Wow wow wow. Cant believe Sarah Flowers has been in business for the past several of decades. My former boyfriend back in 1998 use to Always get mee flowers from here. Sarah use to be located off Orangethorpe Ave & Lemon Street. Now they've relocated about 2 years ago in the corner of State College & Orangethorpe Ave. about 2 miles away their old location. It might be a bit hard to locate since the floral shop now doesn't have their store sign on the building. Located right next to Gerry's Grill restaurant. It's in its own white & black building. Sharing the building w SJ Auto registration and next to Fullerton Liquor. Which is a yellow building. Sarah is really great in responding thru texts messages and following thru w her previous corsages & boutonniere questions. She was able to send the photos thru text before I went there myself and put in my order. Her prices are really reasonably great after i called around my city and neighboring city Placentia for prices. They were beautifully Made too. I recall her arrangements i received from her in the past was also beautiful. Her shop Carries greetings cards, balloons and a lot more items. Definitely be back for my future floral needs,

Not fresh. They may have better quality flowers/!service for advanced ordering, but this is not the place to grab n go...

I was able to order the bouquet online, and have them delivered the next day. I selected the "florist choice" bouquet, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away by the size and the quality of the arrangement. My friend LOVED her flowers and said that they are gorgeous and fresh! Drea's Flowers sent me a photo of the arrangement for me to approve prior to delivery, then they texted me when they were on their way to my friend's house. She happened to not be home when they made the delivery, so they texted me a photo of where they set the flowers, and let me know that they had placed them behind a pillar out of street view so someone driving by wouldn't see them and be tempted to take them home with them. I am so thankful with how wonderful my experience was and I would recommend Drea's Flowers to anyone ordering an arrangement for any occasion. 10/10.

With this being my kiddo's…read morefirst birthday away from home, now that she's away at college, I knew I wanted something special for her. I looked at many reviews of many different shops and found several complaints against other shops of what they ordered vs. what was delivered. This made me very nervous. I went through Drea's photos on Yelp and found an arrangement that | liked. I placed the call or Tuesday for delivery on Friday. I spoke with Amber - I hope I'm getting her name right because she was so pleasant and courteous. I described the photo I found. She pulled it up. I described a few small changes I wanted to make and Amber obliged. The total price was very reasonable and well within the amount I wanted to spend, even after adding a small balloon bouquet. The day of delivery, I received a photo of the final product and another photo of the delivery at the dorm door, and another follow up text that it was accepted at the door. This momma's heart was put at ease. My kiddo even send me a photo several days later to say Look how big this lilly is!! Thank you, Drea's Flowers for making this day very special.
