I came across DalyBeth and Positive Health Hawaii after searching around for places that had openings and/or were accepting new patients, which as expected was super hard to come by and especially within a short time. Having been living alone and hardly able to see the closest friends for the last year now along with dealing with lots of tension within another organization that I'm working for on a part-time basis, I've been trying to seek help with my mental health and depression that has literally taken its toll on my life, I am very thankful for DalyBeth! She has been willing to listen to my situation and stories and has made plenty of helpful suggestions on helping myself relieve stress from my life. Now although I haven't gotten to some of them quite yet and admittedly may not be comfortable doing certain ones just yet, I've taken lots of notes and been trying to put her advice to great use. I'll definitely be consulting with DalyBeth periodically and again very soon, and hopefully I'll get to meet her in-person. I've been sitting on this review and trying to figure out how to describe my experience with Austin. In a nutshell, indescribable would be easy to say, but also the immediate feeling right after the session. I can breathe a bit better if not easier, weight on my shoulders feels lighter. And overall feels like I am freed by the 'mental shackles' that has had its hold on me for a long time. Like a veil has been lifted and I am now more at peace with myself, zen like state which is something I thought I had but this is completely different. I was battling with a 'sense of failure' as a father/husband/person due to what I thought was from financial pressures and a lack of empathy, accountability with my was breaking down my relationship with my wife. His counseling experience and deep knowledge of behavioral therapy identified a possible 'Complex Relational trauma response' disorder that my wife showed signs of displaying. Justin helped me understand her trauma response and how I was reacting to her issues with my own issues which triggered her fear, abandonment, frustration, mistrust, and gravitation to conflict which induced my own defensiveness reactions and anger. He provided me with my own personal tools to deploy on a regular basis. These helped me be nice to myself and appreciate my purpose and that I was actually doing my best to improve myself and provide love most importantly. Some of those solutions and tools such as meditation, mindfulness, self awareness/development created personal behavioral changes and coping strategies I now feel better about myself . A relationship tools I really liked was his own self developed 'Oh-Five-X Repair Framework' ( a one page document) which has provided us ability to create a safe place for trust, healing, and recovering from past trauma and experiences in our relationship and personal pasts. I've developed a deeper understanding and awareness of myself and Justin's actionable tools and strategies are much more than what most other life coaches or counselors can deliver. Its his ability to land these strategies/tools on point and get you to understand how to employ them to get better/improve/develop yourself With this guidance I've noticed I've become more empathetic, less reactive and more self caring so my family can continue to heal, and our relationship and welfare of ourselves benefits our family. Over the past 35 years, we've solicited the help of a number of tax preparers, all by referrals. We've learned about the differing styles of the various CPAs, as some are conservative, interpret tax laws in black and white, or are liberal in their interpretations. As we were looking for a CPA that was liberal in their tax law interpretation and yet within the requirements of the law, our Estate Attorney recommended Tamilyn Masuda CPA to us in 2012, as he was using her and was satisfied with her services. Since 2012, Tamilyn has been our CPA for our tax needs, and we are very satisfied with her. In fact, we consult with her throughout the year, and not only during tax time, as we've consulted with her on the tax effects of purchasing/selling investment property, creating a LLC, looking at retirement account options, estate planning, and tax liability reduction. Tamilyn is very accommodating, as we could call her with questions anytime during the year at no charge. She is friendly, personable, and easy to talk to. We haven't had any problems with our tax returns. I do categorize my receipts and create x-cell worksheets to make it easier for Tamilyn to put things in order. It's also a self-check for me if there is a payment transaction issue that needs to be followed up on. A face-to-face appointment is then made with Tamilyn to go over the worksheets and any issues that we have. We've always have had timely responses in completing our returns, and Tamilyn will call if she needs further clarification or receipts. We request a draft of our return so that we can review the entries and get any clarifications, if needed. Once we give approval, the tax return is finalized by having us sign the documents. With the current Covid-19, however, social distancing required some changes. We were fortunate to have had a face-to-face appointment as we had scheduled it before the procedural changes. Now, all receipts and documents are to be mailed in or dropped into a box just outside the office's front door by calling staff prior to dropping off. They will retrieve them, and Tamilyn will start reviewing them in preparing the tax return. Upon completion, a phone call would be made for you to pick up your return, and sign any documents in the box outside the front door. Local-born Tamilyn has more than 30 years of accounting experience, including 7 years as an IRS Auditor for small businesses. With this knowledge and experience, she started her business, Tamilyn Masuda CPA, as she has the IRS insight not only to assist small businesses, but also to individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, estates, and non-profit organizations. She provides services in bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning and preparation, audit representation, estate planning, and divorce/support issues. She is assisted by her adult daughter, Shauna, who is well equipped with accounting knowledge and experience, and additional staff during the busy times. Tamilyn's office is on the 2nd floor above the Original Pancake House in the Waiakamilo Shopping Center in Kalihi. There is a secured entry, as you will need to call her office on the intercom on the 1st floor at the foot of the stairs. She will buzz you in once you give your name and the reason why you're there. Office hours are Mon. to Fri. from 8a-4p, with extended hours during tax time. Yes, we have finally found a CPA that fits our needs and has the same views of the tax laws and our liabilities to Uncle Sam as we do. Perhaps Tamilyn Masuda CPA can be of the same fit to you too?

Bowenwork was founded in Australia by Tom Bowen in 1950 who called it a gift from God. It just so happens to correspond to the ancient meridian system that characterizes Chinese medicine. I've tried everything for pain- acupuncture, massage, yoga and nothing seems to help. Except Bowenwork. Honestly it feels like a miracle. I wish I knew about this sooner! It felt like a cross between a massage and energy work. It was very gentle and Lena followed my breath with each movement. After some work she'd leave me alone for a minute and I would feel my body respond and adjust while I was resting. Similar to sivasana in yoga. At some moments I started to fall asleep. The pressure was very subtle, yet I felt the vibrations go very deep. It was a very pleasant sensation. I entered a meditative trance. The next day I was really sore although the pain was not there. I felt a little emotional and tired but the next day I felt completely renewed! I can't remember the last time my body felt so flexible and free. The best part of my treatment was the time and care Lena took with me before and after the session. She took the time to get to know me, my history, and my goals for improving myself. We ended the session with a short tarot reading that was spot on! It helped integrate the bodywork with what I was processing emotionally and spiritually at the time. I've done 3 sessions so far and after each treatment, I've felt better, my posture is straighter and my overall sense of well-being is lighter and brighter. This is not a quick fix treatment but a healing process. I can actually feel my body letting go of old patterns, finding greater alignment and unraveling years of tension and trauma.
