A big group of alpaca gathering by the gate
    Fran V.

We stayed here with our camper for a night through the Harvest Host program. The owners Glenn and Carolyn kindly host campers for single night visits for no fee, but the purpose of their farm is of course raising, breeding, shearing, and selling alpacas and their by-product. They own over 40 alpaca but also take in other folks alpacas for breeding purposes. The alpacas had just had their annual shear so they weren't all fluffy, but dang they are so sweet! Even if you don't do an overnight, you can still patronize their small store filled with all sorts of alpaca themed goodies. Not all are made here, a lot of the fiber (not wool) is sold elsewhere and made into blankets or clothings or other items, but they do make a few things in house. They get items from as far away as Peru such as alpaca key chains. There are teddy bears and alpacas made of the fiber, mittens, laundry dryer balls, and more. I highly encourage supporting these sweet folks!

Fallon Veterinary Clinic - They literally killed this beautiful little girl. Do not take your animal there if you love your animal.

Dr. Storm and her staff are great. I decided to switch vets from Reno to Fallon now that I'm in…read moreFallon most of the time. I was also feeling like my vet in Reno was putting greed first and animal care second with the way they were nickel and diming my every visit. The prices and care my pets receive at Fallon Vet Clinic is far superior to my last vet so I'm very happy with the switch. My smaller pup is on 3 different medications and Dr. Storms staff have been very accommodating when I call to request refills. I try to be respectful of their 48 hour refill time period but a few times I've been in a pinch and they have gone above and beyond to accommodate my situation which I'm very thankful for. One time I had an emergency situation when my bigger dog ate a weeks worth of my smaller dogs meds when we were out of town. I called the clinic and they sprung in to action to help me make sure my bigger dog didn't get sick and then sent a refill for the meds to the nearest pharmacy where I was. They turned a stressful situation in to a manageable one. My smaller pup is nearing 10 years old and had a couple of cracked teeth and needed a dental cleaning. Dr. Storm quoted me a price for the procedure and I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up to pay the bill that it was less than my quote. Their ethics and integrity are valuable to me and I'm happy to recommend this vet!

They pointed me toward lahontan and I was told to make an appointment they want to charge $50. Maybe because I'm from California I've never had to do that before but it is supposedly because people don't show up for surgeries. My cat is dying and I needed help but they just directed me somewhere else farther then my town.

If you're looking for a place to board your dog and actually feel *good* about leaving them behind,…read moreSpanish Springs Pet Resort is it. I recently boarded my dog Barbara there, and I genuinely couldn't have asked for a better experience -- for her or for me. A huge shoutout to Bobby, who went above and beyond from the very start. He took the time to sort out every little detail of Barbara's stay, making sure she'd be comfortable, entertained, and well looked after. It wasn't just the basics -- he made sure her time there was actually fun, which honestly says a lot about how much the staff there genuinely care about the animals in their charge. What really won me over, though, was the communication. Bobby kept me updated regularly throughout Barbara's stay, sending photos and videos of her having the absolute time of her life. There's nothing quite like being away from your pet and getting a video of them happily running around, tail wagging, zero complaints. It put my mind completely at ease. Spanish Springs Pet Resort clearly isn't just a place where dogs are kept -- it's a place where they're genuinely cared for. Barbara came home happy, tired from all the fun, and I came home with full confidence in where I'll be taking her every single time. Highly recommend.

We just moved from California to Sparks Nevada and we're very nervous to leave our pet at a new pet…read moreresort but we knew we had to try it out for reasons we had to go out of state for a couple weeks and I have to tell you we are ecstatic. Very happy Spanish Springs pet resort is amazing. I had my dog at a top pet resort in California in Livermore and they were great, but when I say this has beat my expectations even of that great pet resort you can let your pet live in the house that they have or bring them in the regular kennels. We pick the house cause our dog is used to be comfortable and in a house so glad we did. It was worth the extra money. He was so happy they sent us pictures all the time when I asked they always kept me updated and the staff is amazing. My dog was so happy when he got home not like he regularly is he had an extra pep in a step I had to let you all know about it and thank you Spanish Springs pet resort you're great
