From our first meeting, I could tell she was the one! We began working together right away (about a year out from the wedding). I really appreciated having her guidance throughout the entire process, rather than just the last 2-3 months like most other planners offer. I wanted to be involved in the planning process as much as possible. I greatly appreciated being able to choose the vendors and create the feel I wanted. Merilee gave great suggestions, recommendations, and feedback on all decisions. Once I made the decisions, that's when Merilee took over: she kept track of the vendor contracts, reminded me when payments were due, and communicated with the vendors throughout the process to ensure everything was prepared and they arrived at the right place and time. Merilee is so organized and detail oriented, which I love. She is very accessible and always responded to emails and texts right away. She also gave us access to an online site to keep track of ideas, guest list, timeline, and budget which was super helpful. The wedding itself went so perfectly! She made it all easy and I never felt overwhelmed in the process. We planned our wedding in under a year and she was with us the whole time. She is communicative over text and email, has a great way of explaining things along the way and has great advice. We had a Jewish wedding and she already knew everything she needed to know (this was something that was a huge priority for me). She clearly has a great rapport with vendors and made sure everything went smoothly. The vendors she recommended were wonderful. We had a beautiful day and now have the most incredible photos and video to remember it all forever. Riley's eye for detail and really capturing what we were going for was outstanding. I didn't have to try to figure out how to make a table look beautiful or how to place florals, she did it all perfectly. Early in the planning process we talked big picture, and she asked me a couple of more detailed questions. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and nothing was overlooked. The level of care and attention they brought to every aspect of the day was incredible. She responded promptly and we set up a day to meet. We met at a local coffee shop and discussed everything I needed to know; I asked questions and she gave me answers, and in turn she took notes on every detail of my wedding (thus far). She was professional, warm and friendly and I felt comfortable discussing my special day with someone who seemed to know so much about the business of wedding coordination. I knew as soon as our initial meeting was over I knew that I wanted to work with Jen. I checked with my soon-to-be husband and family and we finalized our decision with a simple contract to use Jen for her "Day Of" coordination. We had a few meetings between then and the wedding, but most of our communication was through email and phone. She visited my venue with me shortly before the wedding to help me smooth out a couple of kinks, and gave me options and ideas for any other problem I had. Fast-forward to our wedding day.
