I wouldn't recommend this pizza. We ordered a half cheese, pepperoni, spinach/mushroom/tomato, and bacon/pepperoni/mushroom. It was delivered in about 30 minutes just like we were told which was great. The pizza wasn't hot and the crust was just okay. It tasted like a frozen pizza that needed more time to cook. I went here based on google reviews. Whoops. The pizza tastes like typical frozen pizza. The Italian beef sandwich was interesting and pretty ok. Lots of mozzerella cheese, onions, green peppers and pizza sauce. The bun was nicely toasted. I'm a big city snob so I don't think this place is very good, but it appears the locals love it. Alot of the locals love Saylors Pizza. They definitely have a niche market in Dowagiac. Saylors pizza is like the local water you grew up drinking. Trying water somewhere else is not as good as what you are used to even if the water is really better. Saylors Pizza, specifically their Chicken Ranch Pizza, is like that water. Everyone in town likes it but people that did not grow up on it don't like it as much. Their niche is low prices and this town needs a place like that. Pizzas are loaded with cheese but otherwise forgettable. Speedy service. I was a little pissed that the clerk didn't tell me about the large one-topping special when I ordered a small one-topping pizza. I love Saylor's in Dowagiac! They are the nicest people and give you a quality pizza at a cheap price. It's also fast. Walk in and place your order and walk out within 10 minutes with your pizza. No joke! The Saylor's pizza places are each indiviually owned by brothers. I have only been to the Watervliet one before and the nicest thing I could say is that it was cheap. The Dowagiac folks have a lighter, tender, chewy crust--just plain better. Tip: Be sure to check out the specials on the lower right hand corner of the menu. They have some fantastic deals but you do have to ask when placing your order. My favorite is the chicken bacon ranch pizza. read more

The pizza is just average. I was disappointed when I got the veggie. It apparently only comes with onion, green pepper, and mushroom. I think if you're paying the same price for that as opposed to a supreme or other specialty, they could put more toppings on. For the price, I'd just as well go to Little Caesars and get a large cheese for $5. read more
