He and his staff (special shout-out to Rachel) were friendly and courteous. I am very much looking forward to being in the area again and dining in next time. Oh and the best part is when all the cooks left the kitchen and sat in a circle in the dining room for 15 or so minutes. The owner was also there...sitting at the bar with a drink. Why wasn't he helping bus tables, cook, GO TO THE STORE TO GET INGREDIENTS THEY RAN OUT OF??? This was during their busiest rush. What in the world???? Excuse was made that it's St. Joe's prom and all their employees are at the prom. Unreal! 1 star because food is decent but we will not return.

Had the weirdest experience...we were going to dine in tonight. Told we could sit anywhere. Then the girl came out and said her exact words were: "you can't stay because we are almost out of dough and you can only get a carry out pizza! " This makes absolutely NO sense. I said, I guess I'm not understanding, why can't we eat here, we are on a motorcycle so carryout is not an option. She said, "sorry, you just can't, I told you were almost out of dough, so you have to get it "to go" ! How in the world do you run a business like this? Mind you, it was only 8pm on a Saturday night. My boyfriend says, "is there dine-in dough vs. carry-out dough"? Like a lot of people, we do 'Pizza Fridays' and may have tried nearly all of the local pizza places in the area - from Elkhart, South Bend, Mishawaka, Goshen, Niles, etc. so all of Michiana. This place is at the top of the list. Not only is everything on the menu fantastic the people who work there are awesome. They always remember you and greet you with a smile. Great family place. We had a fantastic experience here. #1 service was on point! We reserved a table for 14. They let us put our pizza orders in ahead of time and our server was very accommodating! #2 The pizza is fantastic! If your a Bruno's fan this is a Gucci version... the crust was so much amazing! This was our first time ordering Chivos. Definitely our New number 1 pizza locally. Price is a little high but the pizza was worth it. It's touted as thin crust but not so much. On their website they advertised 10 inch pizzas, but I didn't want to order online as I've never used that service with them. Upon my call they continuously said 12 inches in confirmation and then informed me that they do not have 10 inch pizzas. I suppose it's a good that I chose not to order online for that reason. I ended up ordering an original crust bacon and mushroom pizza. Normally when I would order from here I preferred getting their original crust because I enjoyed the taste. Upon trying I noticed there is far more oil then I remember seeing, but the crust and toppings were perfectly done. It's not what I would call a super thick crust, but somewhere in the middle of what I imagine thick and thin should be. I also ordered a thin crust 12 inch pepperoni and ham pizza. This was very much against my normal behavior, but I deemed necessary for this review. I wanted to be able to give you a point of view from both of their crust options. After having their thin crust I can also say it was a last time for me as well. They piled on the ingredients which seem a bit undercooked while the crust was perfectly cooked. As you can see from my picture the crust is in fact very thin. With a side of breadsticks because you've got to get an appetizer if you're going to really give them a chance. If wings are what you were looking for then you are looking at the wrong place. They do however have calzones. Upon tasting the bread sticks I noticed both sauces were cold, but the flavor of the breadstick without the sauce was delicious. A bit heavy on the butter, but still quite tasty. Now for the tough choice. This is the part where you must choose, so let me let you in on a secret. This is still not the best in the area, but a pretty darn good choice. Unfortunately there are numerous options on the road it's located on. That means there a lot of competition. When I say numerous, I'm not joking. You could walk to six pizza locations with head spinning price options. Which leads me to believe that the brilliant minds behind this are genius or pure evil, so I wish you luck in your decision.
