First off my wife and I are not craft beer lovers. We are new to trying them though since we started Give A Craft Beer Trail 2024. This was our first of 33 stops we plan to enjoy this year. We told them we did not care for IPA and since we are used to more domestic pilsners and lagers they recommended Floatin' Round an American Light Lager. It was perfect for us and a great start to for a couple of newbies. The place is very nice inside and out and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Located between round lake and big crooked lake. There is a bike trail planned to run right by. The menu is small but will make your mouth water. Mac and cheese varieties, BBQ / smokehouse meats. I had the SLBC brisket sandwich. Very flavorful and messy to eat .Went with a knife and fork to get all that sauce without the stick fingers. Went back the next afternoon for palazzolo's ice cream. There are two outside areas to eat. A covered pavilion and a smaller picnic style area with big umbrellas in the tables. Old school arcade games and a few picture worthy large wood craved bear and metal silhouette of big foot. And of course great beer .

Love the Morins and love the brews ! I have been coming to sister lakes for years now. I may have moved away, but whenever I find myself back in town I make sure to always pop by SLBC for a cold craft beer and maybe some nachos. I do miss when they sold local hot sauce though. So if you guys are reading this, please bring back the local hot sauce for old times sake??

This was the end of our adventure up to South Haven. I was a tad out of it by now. This was a day with a whole lot of drinking haha. Originally, I was going to nap in the car. But he came back out to get me because I liked it here so much. So glad he woke me up. This place was so cool! Something to see everywhere! We didn't eat but the food looked great! They offer flights of fantastic beer! They have a tagabrew and participate in the hop passport. It's a win win! Definitely want to go back. Now it's time for the very long drive home blasting music and singing at the top of our lungs. I don't think we could have had a better day! Cheers to a great summer!

    Great little lake town brewery

What a fantastic little lake town brewery. We were staying with some friends in South Bend so we shot up this way to hit up a few places. Several different beers to choose from and unfortunately we already had plans to eat somewhere else but the food that was coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The specials that day were homemade lasagna soup and some sort of pork shoulder braised in a wine sauce and for dessert they had homemade bread pudding. There is also several picnic tables out back for when the weather is nice. Once we arrived and sat at our table, we noticed they did not have the NCAA tournament on any of the televisions. I asked the waitress what are the chances of getting the game on and she replied "very good". She changed all three TVs to the game. A super neat place putting out great beer and good looking food. I am looking forward to returning and trying something off the food menu.

Zero complaints or issues. We had 2 flights of four beers and the pretzel. Huge hot pretzel with hot cheese and room temp mustard. Of both flights all eight beers were very tasty and worth ordering again in a larger portion. Staff and atmosphere were great. Sarah was our server she was pleasant and helpful.

Nice, casual brewpub in historic Sister Lakes. Lot of cool, vintage signage from one time area businesses. Had two different flights which consisted of 8 different beers. I tried, but found no beer that was at all noteworthy save for the Randy which was a grapefruit shandy (don't really consider this a beer). Their English Tami was a poor excuse for an english bitter and was not even drinkable. The food was very good. I had the Cuban sandwich and my brother had the gyro tacos. No fryers here so no fries available, not a big deal for me. Again, love the food and the atmosphere, but the beer was sorely lacking. I am hopeful that the beer will improve.

Staff was friendly and helpful! They make it easy to order as well. Pick your table, have a look at the menu and then order at the counter. They will bring the food out to you wherever you are sitting. They have a couple outdoor spaces to sit at and a huge indoor space. We ordered a couple drinks, the soft pretzels for an app, a Greek salad and a Philly. It was all good!

    Great Beer!

The food was good, but you have to order at the bar for your whole table. That being said, the wait staff was attentive.

We're from the Grand Rapids area, so it was a bit of a trek being about an hour and a half away. GR has plenty of karaoke options in the surrounding area and a ton of breweries - none that I'm aware of mix the two, nor have anything as unique as this. Seeing as it was our first time here, we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty packed, actually pretty hard to find seating. Thankfully, we were eventually able to get a spot near the stage. One thing to note is that they don't serve food; however there's usually a food truck onsite, so that's nice, if you happen to like the type of food on that particular day. The place was pretty packed, of course it was a Saturday, so wasn't a big surprise. Unfortunately, a few of the adult beverages were unavailable, apparently due to the 10-year anniversary the day before. I first tried the dark bodega Mexican lager, it was good, but not really what I was in the mood for. So, I decided to try something a little different, I'm glad I did. I went with the peanut butter & jelly ale, wow, I was really impressed! I ended up sticking to the PB&J's for the rest of the night. A couple of others in my party, who normally don't like ales, tried the PB&j and thought it was great. All in all, it was a great experience. The karaoke was a blast, some absolutely incredible singers. And I've never seen a crowd so engaged, the place was full of energy, so I'm sure that added to the overall positive experience. If Watermark wasn't so far away, it would definitely be a regular visit for us. We missed the last crowd elimination karaoke event in June, but are planning to make a return trip for the next one in July!

We were in town visiting family and made reservations at Brass Elk Brewing. I was excited to try a…read moreflight or two and had my dinner choice narrowed down by the time we got there. My daughter-in-law made reservations and when we arrived, there were no handicap spaces at all due to the 4th of July fireworks, so my son had us get out of our car and went and parked it (we drove two cars) A valet option would have been nice. When we entered, the hostess told us to sit anywhere. We told her we had reservations on the patio, so she led us outside. We realized on this very hot and sticky day that there wasn't adequate fans to help move the air, so we requested to be seated inside (remember we were told to sit anywhere) We were then told they weren't seating inside, although there was a couple tables of people inside. The place wasn't the least bit busy, so I don't know why we couldn't sit inside. I have health issues and my ankles and feet swell with humid weather, which is one of the reasons we moved to southern Arizona. I even told whoever was seating us that I would swell up but they didn't care. Keep in mind the reservations were made days in advance and we didn't know it was going to be so awful outside. The next issue was the menu. They only offered a limited 4th of July menu, so all our original choices were out the window. They were not busy when we arrived at 6 and still not busy when we left at 7, so I think their expectations were overblown. There were also another table or two seated inside, which was odd since they weren't seating inside. I will give them points for the breakfast smash burger and fries cooked in tallow. The food was good. It wasn't to-die-for, but no complaints. That's the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. The crappy seating attitude and limited menu knocked off a star and the fact I could barely wear my sandals by the time we finished because my feet and ankles were swollen and huge knocked off another star. I guess they also don't expect people with kids to eat at their restaurant. We ordered a lemonade for the 3 year old and they brought a 16 ounce cup with an easily- removed rubber lid, which she immediately removed and spilled her drink before we could grab her. I ask the wait staff for a children's cup and they said that was it. The rubber lid counted I guess. Keep in mind our water glasses were less than half the size of their "children's" cup but they were made of glass. I'll give them a solid meh and a one finger salute for their attitude.

Previous visits have been good, see my earlier review on Brass Elk. However, my most recent visit…read more2/21/26 was not good. Went for lunch, and was quite disappointed. On the good side, service was good, servers were friendly, tried to be helpful, food came out quickly. I found their system confusing though, as you didn't have one server, they all stopped at the table at various times. Food was disappointing. Wife had the Reuben sandwich. Reuben should be corned beef, what she had was NOT corned beef, it looked like roast beef, she said it tasted like leftover prime rib from last night. The fries were good though. I had angel hair pasta shrimp scampi. The shrimp was good, properly cooked without being rubbery, good flavor. The angel hair was badly overcooked, clumpy, mushy. Angel hair is easy to overcook, because it's so thin, but if you are going to offer it on the menu, the cooks need to know how to keep an eye on it. The worst part was the noise/music/DJ. It was so horribly loud, we could not talk. The next table were screaming at each other to be heard. We asked the servers, twice, to turn it down. The first said it was some sort of event, the DJ was running it, and they couldn't change it. The second said she would ask the manager, and I saw her walk up the the manager, talk to him, and saw him shake his head. I opened up the decibel meter on my phone, and it recorded an average of 87 decibels, with a peak of 90 decibels. Equivalent to a large lawn mower. Hearing protection recommended for extended exposure. In retrospect, we should have left when they first said no. We did see another couple who did leave. I would have given 1 star, but because we've had good experience in the past, I'll average it as a 2 star.
