Jack charged me $500. I was unable to provide a photo of the poor workmanship on the 3 in one lightswitch/GFCI. Jack told me that he would come back when I had more money. I had told him up front "I am a low income senior." The only way to come up with another $440 was to not pay on my credit card. He said he got FREE light bulbs from Efficiency Maine, as do I. He used his and profited. He made me an appt. for 4 months later October 30 @ 7:30am. On that date he sent a text @ 7am rescheduling for afternoon which was inconvenient for me, but I had no choice as I was expecting 100 Trick-or-Treaters. He kept switching up the plan as to how he should go about working on the exterior porch light. Finally, we agreed on turning one of the obsolete outlets into a light switch. Why didn't he just do that 4 months earlier eliminating the fire danger? So, in fact, Jack charged to repair an obsolete outlet, then charged me again to undo that receptacle and turn it into a light switch. They finally got my 3 new light installed. So a total of $940. So little work was accomplished. My 3 in one lightswitch system looks unprofessional. One lightswitch is not flush with the cover, we are having a difficult time using the outlet, they didn't put in all 8 screws and the 4-piece outlet cover is old, dirty and severely cracked... I texted my concerns to Jack and he kept putting words in my mouth. He was dishonest. He kept bragging about his business. Poor planning on his part cost me double the money and unnecessary frustration. He kept telling me that he had bills too. It's been 4 months. I will start the process with the Maine Attorney General to mediate. ​

Marc Carrier the owner of Drywall Concepts was recommended to me by an electrician that was working on another job in my house. I called Marc. He responded in a short period of time. He came to the house and provided an estimate. We agreed to have the work performed. He and his son made two visits to do the work within the agreed upon time frame. The work was performed very well. The paint they used after the drywall repair was done matched the shade of white of the rest of the ceiling so well that we have delayed painting the entire ceiling which we had previously considered. Marc and his son were both very professional. They removed their shoes before coming into the house. They cleaned up after the job was completed. The invoice came in at less than the estimated cost which is always a welcome event. I will call on them for future drywall or painting projects. I recommend them to others in need of drywall or painting services.
