Walking into Sbisa this past weekend evoked a lot of memories of my freshman/sophomore year.. it's AYCE and probably the best value for my meal plan at the time. (which by the way, was not a good deal kids) The quality has seemingly improved since I was last here almost 20 years ago lol. Service is efficient (it's not self serving anymore but I like the fact it cuts down waste) There's the famous pasta bar station, a favorite memory of mine dinning at West campus senior year with its fast and ready to eat pastas.. Still top notch by the way after 20 years. I like the "fresh" salad bar with its many toppings, and some hot foods (I tried out some of the stir fry and Mexican dishes which were very very subpar..) There's definitely better places to eat on campus.. It's an average quality buffet at best but that's not really the point, is it? For me, Sbisa was a time machine. Very fresh salad bar and very clean because no kids would ever want to grab veggies from this station. Great variety of soft drinks. Hot food selection is limited but their veggie dishes are quite tasty. Their F&B director must be quite health-conscious. Cleaning staff very hardworking and non-stop. This was the closest dining hall to my dorm freshman year. It gave me food poisoning in which I was sick and vomiting for a week. 1/10 experience. Sometimes they had decent food but it's really a hit or a miss. Try your luck at the commons or white creek they're significantly better. White creek has a lot of gourmet options also you can build your own pizzas and sandwiches kind of like mod/blaze and subway. read more

Got me through college and surprisingly good results after the outsourcing. There's still some improvements to be made especially with the university dining plans but it offers the more healthy "home cooked" meals on campus. Having started here in 2011, I still remember a time when the food here was palatable and the cookies were actually delicious. That was a time before Chartwells. I could make better Mac and Cheese, Burgers, etc (longish menu) in my sleep. read more

Sbisa is where I eat most on campus. The first semester things broke down a lot, and the food was subpar - however in this new semester, everything works, the food is amazing. read more

Very good fries, breakfast, grilled cheese, hot dogs, and other food items. Cookies are bomb. Got my hamburger and it was cold, it was upsetting. Service is mediocre at best. Lady did not let me get 2 different burgers. It is a buffet??!! Waffle maker is clutch. 3.5 stars. read more

On school days, I would rate it a 3. It has the variety and it's at a good price. Average at best. On summer, it's overpriced. $12 for barely anything - 1 star for that. The food is tasteless and the desserts are too sweet. NO VARIETY. I suppose it's because they don't want to waste any $ when there's not a lot of students. The cashier told my crippled friend that they would be cooking past 8. This was a lie. This woman should be fired. Pizza was good, but no plates. I had cereal out of a cup with no spoon. And apparently it was just assumed by the cooks that hot dogs need jalapeños and cheese. I would like to educate them and say no. No they don't. 1/5 cookies all around.
