This place, Zeitman's, and Champion's Pizza are the only businesses in College Station that remind me of New York City. I recommend all three businesses. I've been here several times. The most recent time was this past Sunday with my mom. I suggested this place for her to try out their toasted smoked salmon everything bagel. I also ordered the blueberry lavender cold brew. We decided to sit outside and everything was brought to us within 7 minutes. Service was good. The bagel was really good, I took a bite. My mom loved it. It has the smoked salmon, cream cheese and some other stuff in it. It was pre-cut in half so she took half of it home. It's pretty big. The cold brew was good, but I didn't taste much lavender in it, I guess next time I'll ask for a extra shot of lavender. They have parking but it is usually full. Not too hard to find parking around there to me though. This is a really cool laid back spot for a sunny day after going to the art fair. read more

I came in to Sunbeam Bagel with a friend looking to establish a new go to spot for me to study at or just grab coffee. Immediately when walking up to the door, my friend and I were astonished by the patio with the red fabric awning over the outside seating that casted a red tint over anyone that sits under it. The sun hitting against the awning created such a warm and inviting space for someone to get work done. Not to mention, there was more than plenty of outside seating which I personally enjoy. When walking into the shop, the sunlight that reflected off the red fabric awning made its way into the the room through the large windows which resembles a garage door. The red hue that was casted into the room also made a wonderfully warm and peaceful vibe for reading or studying. The customer service was great and the person my friend and I talked too answered all of our questions and even gave us some suggestions . The cafe was out of certain bagels, but the chive cream cheese on the plain bagel made up for this. Truly incredible cream cheese that I can not wait to have again. If you love garlicky tasing things or just garlic butter, you will love this. Discussing the bagel, I can only assume they make their bagels homemade considering they tasted and looked so (this is a good thing lol). Now for the coffee, I had ordered a cold brew with brown sugar and oat milk alongside my friend. Personally, I was not a huge fan of this drink because I did not taste the brown sugar and the coffee did not have a bold flavor. Now, I have yet to try their espresso, so I can not fully give my full opinion on all of their coffee. I am definitely coming back to this spot to try their espresso but to also give their cold brew another try. One thing to note is that my experience with the cold brew may not be what everyone else tastes when drinking it, but I thought I would share my honest opinion. Overall, Sunbeam Bagel offers a vibe that can not be missed. The ambience is one that makes anyone that decides to sit in feel like they can take a moment out of their busy day to bask in the red glow of the sun and feel at ease. I enjoy the abundant seating they have outside, but if you are not looking to sit out, I will say there is not much seating inside due to the size of the place itself. If you can or choose to sit in, you will be met with cute decor and red walls to match the beautiful red rays trickling their way into the room. Ok I LOVED this place! The shop is so so aesthetically pleasing and cute. I'm obsessed with the way the red roof outside created a hue inside. You can really tell they put thought into the design. We came in to order to go before leaving back out of town with coffee cups (no names/branding/logo) & the lady at the register told us they didn't allow outside food/drink & wouldn't take our order because we were holding it. Kind of annoying bc we would've had to stand outside to order breakfast there? We didn't plan on eating there just ordering and leaving, but no questions were asked it was just I won't take your order holding your plain cup and you can't be in here with that. We enjoyed our lunch here! We had a plain bagel with the smoked salmon, a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, coffee cake, an americano, and a London Fog. Everything was really good, and the people working there were all very friendly and nice. As mentioned, the bagel texture was spot on with the crackly crust and chewy inside. Also, the proportions on the smoked salmon sandwich were perfect. I hate to complain that many places give too much salmon because that is really a generous thing to do, but too much salmon makes the bites a challenge. This was generous but not too much. read more
