SKIP THIS BUFFET! I've given this place multiple chances, and every visit has been consistently disappointing. The food quality is honestly concerning. The crawfish were small, overly brown, and had a squishy texture that didn't feel fresh at all. Most of the food on the buffet was cold, including the chicken, which tasted like it had been sitting out far too long and had a strange texture. The chow mein, which is usually my go-to, was overcooked and chewy. The broccoli dish was covered in an extremely salty brown sauce, and the crab was undercooked and stuck to the shell. Nothing tasted fresh or properly prepared. We tried to politely bring this up, but the response from staff, possibly the manager, was dismissive and rude. Instead of addressing the issue, we were basically told there's no guarantee we'd like the food. That completely misses the point this wasn't about preference, it was about poor quality. We spent around $30-40 and left feeling like it was a total waste. We actually ended up leaving and going somewhere else to buy another dinner. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Ye Star Chinese Buffet. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Food here is really good! The staff were really nice and welcoming (like always) often passed by to ask for refills and genuinely everytime we come here we're greeted nicely! The restaurant also gives a nice atmosphere.. the way it's organized is amazing and just makes you feel comfortable especially in the booths! Honestly very good! Came here and asked if I could see their food options at their buffet. The young woman at the front allowed me to go in and look. As I came back out towards the front to ask for a takeout menu, an older woman worker approached me and pointed her fingers at me and accused me of being from another restaurant like I was spying on their establishment for competition or something. Before coming to eat, here I read a review that said, an employee put their hands on a child and I thought "that's crazy, there's no way that actually happened". And then it happened to my child!!! As we were eating she dropped her ice cream and started crying because she's two. It happens. An employee walked over to her, started to sush her and then PUT HER HANDS on my child and told her to be quiet. When I went to the manager to pay I informed her of what happened and she didn't have a response except to say "cash or card". After paying, she said, "I will say something to them." Clearly, there will be no repercussions for putting their hands on the second child within a six month period. It is absolutely unacceptable that this happened. The food was fine, but this place sells fake pokemon card packs up at the front. They look legitimately real but the first card in the pack is facing the wrong direction, there are no online code cards, and the cards themselves do not have the correct thickness of a real card. The backing's color is also off by a bit when you compare it to a real card. I got suspicious after realizing I probably shouldn't have pulled two holo Charizard V cards back to back in the exact same pack. Real card collectors beware!! The selections unbelievable! You will eat your heart out with so many varieties from Sushi, wide salad bar and the main food menu! They charge 100$ for 4 kids. The food was not seasoned or clean. The restroom had poop all over it.

Well I decided against my better judgement to give Ye Star another shot. That was just a really bad idea. I went my father just a couple of days ago. Not much has changed the food was really bland - almost no flavor at all. As far as getting your drink refilled, you'd have better chances of getting your refill if your glass was pictured on the side of a milk carton. The one thing that was different was that you have to wear these god-awful gloves. Now I won't go into whether you should or not but I will comment on what I observed while I was there. Customers would put on the gloves and go get their choices from the buffet. Upon returning to their table they would put the glove in their mouth and use their teeth to remove the glove. Then to make subsequent trips they would put the same gloves on again. People are funny. read more

Went to Ye Star and personally thought the selection for non-seafood eaters could have been more varied for the $13.99 price tag. I paid $17 (with a drink) to eat two cups of soup and some fried honey chicken with rice...not a very good value, in my honest opinion. We were given plastic gloves to wear when we entered the restaurant, but then had to recycle the same ones for every trip to the buffet line. The lunch buffet is $11.99 per person, so very affordable! The sushi tasted fresh and the have a large seafood selection as well. Their selection of other non-seafood based Asian dishes was very limited with mostly deep fried selections. The only two non-deep fried/ battered non-seafood choices were beef with broccoli and beef with onions. Their wonton soup was the best I have ever had at a Chinese buffet, so that was a plus in their favor! The service was good and they kept our drinks full.
