Also, the staff are great one sided conversationalists: you can basically have an entire conversation with them with out saying a single word as they have your mouth propped open working on your teeth and its bite. I don't know how they do it all day and not run out of things to say. The office is not your typical medical office environment; it is in a historical house with great original woodwork and something new to notice at every visit. We met him at the closed office and he took care of it for us. They are the type of establishment to go above and beyond when it comes to not only quality care, but also customer service. This afternoon I received a call from them telling me there was a problem with my x-rays. I had my x-rays sent to them months ago, before I even finalized the appointment. Evidently they didn't bother to even check the x-rays until literally the very last day, which means they were surely unprepared despite having had several months time. They then offered to install the braces anyways, but that they wouldn't take responsibility if something went wrong due to them not having x-rays. Obviously I found this unacceptable, since it was their responsibility to make sure everything was ready ahead of time, not mine. And their reaction was even worse - offering to let me take on improper risk due to their failure to prepare. They also offered to do Invisalign, even though it was determined early on that Invisalign wasn't right for me. Overall, I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman - someone that would say anything to get money out of me. I thought there were certain standards for health professionals. Needless to say, I was dissatisfied with all of this and complained. You know how they reacted? After the call with me, they called up my dentist and said negative things to them about me, behind my back (my dentist called me immediately to let me know). Totally unacceptable, unprofessional, petty behavior. Frankly I'm disgusted by their actions. I am still going to get my teeth straightened, but definitely not here!

I'm currently 27 years old with braces for the fourth time under the fourth orthodontist trying to…read morecorrect the mistakes originally made by Hinesly's office. My parents took me in at the age of 11 for what was a "routine straightening." The predicted two to three years ended up lasting from mid-sixth grade through the beginning of senior year. I had a baby tooth inset and fused to my jawbone, and so Hinesly's team decided to take the quick fix and align my teeth around that tooth rather than remove it in favor of an implant. This led to an uneven bite and jaw clicking (had to see a periodontist who claimed the clicking was due to the misalignment of my back teeth) and follow-up from three more orthodontists (due to moving so frequently) and an oral surgeon to remove that tooth and have a bone graft in preparation for a permanent implant. Concerns were voiced multiple times by me/ my parents about the fact that my back teeth were so misaligned that I could no longer chew on one side of my mouth, but they were all brushed aside. When I finally got my braces off, my rubber retainer didn't fit because the teeth were "aligned" on the retainer how they should have been -- but weren't -- aligned in my mouth. Now, after thousands of dollars and work by three more orthodontists, this mistake is finally almost taken care of. I would definitely suggest getting multiple opinions before deciding on this office.

I went here on recommendation of a friend. Dr. Kennedy (Sr.) was so kind. They NEVER said anything bad about my absence from the dentist (my childhood dentist was all about the scolding). In fact, I think it's a policy or something, because every staff member I've ever seen has practiced only positive reinforcement. I couldn't believe what a difference this made in my comfort level. As others have said, AA Smiles is not cheap. When I had really bad dental insurance, I usually had to pay the difference between what they said a cleaning would cost and what it costs at AA Smiles. THAT SAID, I've never had them upsell me. In fact, they make a point to go over estimates ahead of time, have you sign off on them, triage the care you need, and even contact your insurance ahead of time to help you figure out the actual out of pocket cost of a procedure. Beyond that, you can tell that they invest in equipment and staff, not in fancy fountains and TVs for the waiting room. Also, I'll pay for a quality office if it means avoiding weird strip mall dentist offices. In the aforementioned dental emergency, I needed a whole tooth replaced with a crown. Rather than the usual 'take a cast, fit the crown, get a temporary crown, wait a couple weeks .. ' that takes several appointments, they scanned my mouth and a 3D image appeared on the screen. Then they matched my tooth color exactly and machined the crown in the other room. The whole appointment was less than an hour and a half. On top of that, Dr. Kennedy did a beautiful job shaping to tooth to look natural in my mouth. He also took GENUINE JOY in helping me. I've since gone back for countless procedures and cleanings (with Chris? Kris?) .. I now see Dr. Emily Kennedy and she's fucking phenomenal. I recommend her to anyone I know with dental anxiety.

My issue is that after just 2 hours from leaving this office I was in a crazy amount of pain while i was at the dentist getting fillings done, I asked if i needed a root canal because even though she numbed me I could still feel the pain .. she said no I don't need it and to stick it out we were almost done .. I have had fillings done before and they never felt like this.. I called the office and they wouldnt see me and told me to wait for my doctor to call.. I asked what do they do with emergency patients that were just seen there.. they had no idea and tried to act like what i was going through was normal... mind you I currently work in healthcare and in dental before. I asked can I be seen for them to double check the work she said no .. the dr called me after office hours and told me she can see me in the afternoon the next day.. but didnt offer any medication or what to do with this pain.. luckily i was able to contact a new office who allows emergency appointments and they said the Doctor drilled too deep the next day I went in for a root canal A2 smile called me and asked for my review ..
