I just had my final walkthrough with SC Construction. I have had an Alumawood patio cover for 22 years, and I (unknowingly and regrettably) let past workers walk on it (painters, window washers, etc.). It wasn't made for that and I wanted to get the roof panels replaced, as the frame was in great shape. The company that installed it no longer was in the business of patio covers, so I was pleased to find SC Construction, a premier installer, right here in the Central Valley. They have great communication regarding schedule and arrival times, and although they normally just do full installations, were willing to use my frame to install higher quality panels that can be walked on. Big money saver! Every one who came out, from the estimator to the workmen to the supervisor doing the final walkthrough was professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. I highly recommend this company!

SC Construction did a full landscaping job on our bare-earth backyard, including pergola, water features, irrigation and lighting. The communication was excellent and the team was pleasant and on time. We are extremely happy! Brand new plantings so stuff hasn't grown in yet but it's going to look awesome.

We love our new insulated patio cover from SC Construction! Everyone we dealt with was great; from Daniel who provided our quote, to Scott who came out when the project started, and the install team of Henry and Xavier. I especially enjoyed Henry's vocals on the patio while they were installing; he's quite the singer! The contracted electrician, John Case, was great, too, we've even hired him for some additional work. Office staff provided timely updates as the project progressed, and I was impressed that they did a final walk through, and Felipe (project foreman) quickly corrected a minor issue I'd found, and even corrected another issue I wasn't aware of. We've been outside every weekday evening and every weekend since the project was completed; we absolutely love our extended living space.

The spring of 2022 we used SC Construction for a total update of landscaping which included a Pergola, redwood fence, concrete sidewalk to front door, mow strips and all new plants. We decided on SC because because they provided entire service from landscape design to pergola installation. Mike Dunn, the landscape designer was the one that sold us with his vision of what our yard could become. Lupe and his team were outstanding in implementing Mike's plan. We have aluminum lattice for over 20 years, which requires very little maintenance. It was a very easy choice to choose aluminum pergola. We are very pleased with with the entire experience with SC Construction.

    Water leaks from overhang

The whole process with this company is they over promise but underdeliver. They informed us initially that it would only take a day to build. Instead it took weeks. The Roof is leaking (see pictures) and our furniture gets soaked. A technician came out to add more caulking but it's still leaking. We are told the manager is supposed to come by but NO SHOW, twice!! My wife had to call them to find out. The lack of communication is very annoying. Customer service is non existent.

Sc construction built a large patio cover for our home. They did a fabulous job!! All the staff was very kind and professional. They let me design what I was looking for and made my vision a reality while giving me great suggestions. Thank you to Steve and the crew for doing such a great job. I would strongly suggest this company!!!

Amazing amazing amazing! From start to finish this company did quality work. I am 200% happy with it everything I wanted! Henry and Moses installed my porch and each step I was consulted to make sure my image I had in my mind became reality. They communicated with me every step of the way and friendly including the big thing they absolutely cleaned up after themselves. Jason gave me my quote he needed up coming out 2-3 times just because I wasn't ready financially. When I was he had no problem coming out to answer any questions. You pay for what you get there are other companies out there but I will recommend them over and over again! Oh not to mention Liz and Becka at the office so friendly and patient over the phone! Also shout out to John their electrical. Very nice professional and knowledgeable!

My wife and I went over several times as to what we wanted a stamp design with a boarder . He ends up matching what we had in the front yard unbelievable I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what they did !! The pitch grade of the cement goes the opposite way at the edges when it rains it's going to flood my storage area . They didn't take the grade down enough because they were in a hurry forming the forms the night befor till 8pm at night ! To be there the next day at7am !! Isreal is a nice guy I hate to give them a bad review they did my front cement and did a good job that's why we hired him again to do our back yard where he failed us just an awful job I almost was going to make an issue out of it ! We are so disappointed with how our back yard came out like the cement they poured goes up higher than the weep screed going on top of the stucco . When it rains water is going to soak up in the stucco and transfer to the drywall inside . The drain they put in didn't work good thing I caught it they rearrange it still doesn't work .. just all in all A terrible job so disappointing we are extremely bummed and unhappy with this job . Will not be recommending royal concrete I think we got them like 2or3 referred clients in the past when we were happy when they did our front yard . They need to slow down and put more quality in their work instead of just giving a Good price and just slamming it out ! Especially concrete this job compared to my neighbors concrete job was no comparison my neighbors concrete job looked clean nice lines like they took time did a nice job compared to ours were they they just dumped the concrete and just spread it out sloppy messy looks terrible !!! They failed on this job poorly executed horrible supervision no order made a mess on the new concrete that was already there couldn't get the stains they left when they were walking on the wet cement then walking to the front with cement on their shoes getting everywhere !! We will never use them again or reference them out to friends family or neighbors .

My husband hired them to put in a barbecue area in our backyard and pavers with trees in the front of our house. Then he suggested adding on some plants by our master bedroom window and behind the barbecue area. That's where the trouble began. All work was approved in August. We decided on honeysuckles on trellises and camellias. The work for the barbecue area and the front of the house went well and on schedule. The area behind the barbecue area and by the master bedroom were not completed. It kept getting put off. The job was started in August and was not finished until the following April. Excuses included that the plants were not available at the nursery that they use. That actually was a bit of a relief since they wanted to plant them in January and I was afraid that they would freeze. Then March rolls around and I ask if we could go to the nursery that they use and pick out the honeysuckles and camellias. There was not much to pick from, but we decided on coral honeysuckle for behind the barbecue area and purple honeysuckle and two white camellias for the master bedroom area. Unfortunately, the only white camellias available were on trellises. I told my husband that it might cause a problem, but if they asked for more money that would be perfectly fine. Unfortunately, no one spoke to us about it. Their answer to the problem was simply to leave out the trellises for the honeysuckles. Now we have honeysuckles that are planted too far from the fence with no trellises. This company is either lacking in communication with customers or does not have enough experience with smaller plants. I recommend them for stonework, paving, and tree planting, but not for smaller plants. Their pricing is very reasonable. Just be sure that they understand what is important to you for example trellises. Also be sure that they don't do any planting in January when your plants are liable to freeze. Better yet just stick to the stonework and paving. They are great at that!

I recently moved and went looking for a contractor to handle the renovation project in my new home…read more My mom and I met several contractors, did walk-throughs of the project, interviews, etc. Once we meet Florentino, we knew he was the right man for the job. He arrived on time for the appointment, listened to our wants and needs, offered some professional suggestions to enhance our desired results, and provided a quote for the project quickly. Our project budget was just under $90,000. Florentino did a great job of completing the project on time and under budget. He kept us informed every step of the way and adapted to any changes that needed to be made at the last minute. He never complained, kept workers on task, and communicated expectations and deadlines throughout the project. The work done by Florentino included the following: demolition of walls, constructing new walls, installing french doors, installing hardwood floors, natural stone floors, install of all tile shower in guest bath, paint interior and exterior of house, install new side door, pour concrete walkway, new vinyl gate and fence, two alumawood patios (one 6x8 feet, one 12 x 56 feet), electrical work (adding, moving, and replacing outlets and switches), new granite counter tops with new sink and back-splash, retrofitting existing cabinets for new appliances, and hang multiple ceiling fans and lighting fixtures. I am extremely pleased by the work Florentino has done and proud to recommend him to anyone in need of his services. I cannot say enough good things about him, his work ethic, and his character.

Looking for a great fence contractor? Keep looking because this one isn't! I hired McGraw…read moreConstruction to build a fence after reading reviews and their price being competitive from other quotes. I had a good feeling about working with Florentino and the job started off well. He was good about responding to my texts and questions and was timely to start the job. Overall I was happy with the work but looking back there were some issues I wish worked out better. I liked them but just don't feel I got what I paid for. I wish the overall communication with me, as a customer, was better. Florentino mentioned before starting the job that he and his crew does not work weekends. My job began midweek and was told if it wasn't completed by Friday, it would be by Monday which I didn't have issue with. I drove into town that Saturday to check on the progress and was surprised to find Florentino working on it. It wasn't an issue with me but my tenant wasn't too happy since they were having a large family function and was concerned about the work/noise during their event. I wish I knew so that I could have communicated that to my tenants. Per my request, McGraw installed a 4" mow strip which the fence sits on. The fence posts are 6" wide and sticks out past the mow strip, looking off. I am not an experienced fence builder. I would have appreciated being advised to go with a 6" mow strip to have the end result look uniform. The original photo I showed Florentino of the end look, as far as the tiered design going from high to medium to small height (fence in front yard separating my property from neighbors) was not correct, therefore had to be changed twice. This caused him to stay longer now into the early evening because he didn't want to return the next day or Monday and caused issue with my tenant due to tenant needing to get to bed early for work the next day. Communication from Florentino would have been important and would have saved time if I was called to be informed/advised design would need an additional board to be removed in order to match previous design change. Included in my quote was to replace a walk through gate entering my side yard to the backyard. I noticed the boards on the bottom of the gate were not even. Per my request they were cut evenly. How could you not have them even or not notice that?! Then I noticed the original posts for the gate were not replaced and the entire section wobbled. The posts are original and 20 yrs old. I requested the entire section to be replaced. Only the fence boards were replaced leaving the original wobbly posts and the X section boards replaced after I insisted. He explained to me that the posted were not damaged and still in good condition. I felt more like he didn't want to take the time to do it. I would have liked a call saying "Hey, these posts are very loose. Do you want us to replace or leave alone and only replace the fence boards?". A month and half later there are three fence boards that are warped and making the entire design unappealing. Cedar was decided for this job. It's been stated to me that cedar is not the best to work with and looks like the most inexpensive kind was used on my project. It was not communicated to me in the job estimate stage from Florentino the life span and effects of cedar. Not knowing about fencing, I would have expected to be somewhat educated/advised by an experienced contractor on wood types. Unfortunately, it looks like the boards will need replacing within a year after spending over $3,000 for this project. I don't feel McGraw went over/beyond on my job, rather wanted to get it done in the quickest way and charged more than I should have paid. Wish I could feel more warm/fuzzy on this one. Next project I will do more homework.
