I have tried getting my iPhone fixed at a few places and all were slow to respond or give me a real quote or even respond at all. But AJ was quick and you can tell he really cares about giving the best customer service possible for whatever you need. Definitely would recommend this store to anyone looking to get an Apple product repaired and will be back next time I need it as well. Hopefully that wont be for a while and my son doesn't decide to throw my phone in the pool again, but that's a whole different story. I shattered my iPhone 5c a few months ago. I fixed it for $85. The screen is HORRIBLE now. It lags, opens app (opened snapchat and took a picture), doesn't let me text, freezes, and when I'm typing it doesn't work and clicks random letters. Honestly, this was a terrible experience. My phone was very broken and would not answer calls or even show my screen half of the time. I specifically wrote in my "scheduled appointment" that I could not receive calls and to please email any updates. I got a phone call an hour before my appointment that I can't answer, and text messages that were telling me they were rescheduling my appointment because they didn't have my replacement screen and to call them back with an available time. They then send me a second message of just "??" as if it is my fault I'm not answering them on a phone that does not work. That evening, I finally received an email saying that because I did not respond they were canceling my appointment. There is no place on their website for online support, or even to write to a technician. read more

I would have given zero stars, but that's not a choice. I've been reading these reviews and I've experienced the same from i-cracked. Run away from these guys. There are too many good companies than wasting your time and money with this one. My tech guy told me about the lifetime warranty for "non-user induced damage," which is what happened in my case. Within 2-3 days, two horizontal cracks developed. The phone was not dropped, hammered, crushed, splintered, run over by a truck or a train. When I made the initial claim, I was told, in writing, that non-user induced damages are covered. This is when they circled the wagons and stonewalled me. In my opinion this company's behavior borders on unethical. I feel as if I was robbed of my $100. In my opinion, a company that treats its customers the way i-cracked has treated it's former customers should be shut down. I-cracked...an absolute disgrace in my book. read more

I called iCracked in Salem, Oregon to repair my daughter's badly crushed iPad screen. The technician, Keith Stevens, answered my text immediately with all the information I needed. He also gave me links to many references from yelp, Angie's list and other reviews so that I could check him out before I simply handed him our expensive iPad. The repair was done quickly and beautifully. He even offered to change the front from black to white if we wanted. After the repair he delivered the iPad to my front door and took payment after I had approved the work. I could not be more satisfied and would highly recommend iCracked and Keith for anybody looking to repair their cracked screen. Much cheaper than replacing the device and so much more convenient than having to live with a cracked or crushed screen. read more

The first time I got my screen fixed with them I was extremely please with what I got. The price was a bit much but I only did it because I was under the impression that if my screen cracked there is a lifetime warranty on the repair that I had done. It turned out that it really doesn't cover it. I had an advantage plan on my screen because I had (like I said) gotten my screen fixed with them and I wanted to make sure I had my screen covered. When I got the plan you have to wait 30 days for it to be approved. While I was waiting my screen had crack while I was at work and I told them. They cancelled my plan and said that I couldn't have the plan because my screen was cracked and I couldn't have the plan because I needed to spend another $160 to fix my screen then get the plan. It's convenient that they come to you but it's not worth it and I will never do it again read more

They have done work on 4 separate occassions. The call back thing is annoying because they don't pick up the phone. So to avoid people call screening me I just go in and drop off my devices. I have had 1 iPad fixed 2 times for cracked screens. I have had another repaired for a bad battery. All went well. No extra charges or bait and switch garbage. Reputable company. I've thought long and hard about writing this review because I know that AJ harasses customers who write reviews with less-than-perfect feedback. About a month after first interacting with the Main Street branch of iCracked, AJ mistakenly texted me a defensive and hostile paragraph that was meant for another customer who posted a negative review on this same page. He can be manipulative, emotional and accusatory when dealing with reviewers on this page (just look at the paper he posted in response to the "HUGE Yelper" guy (lol.)) With that said, I think it's better to be honest for the sake of other people who are looking to spend money here-- I know that's what I was looking for when I perused their Yelp page for the first time. I'll also just say here that if I receive unwanted communication from AJ, I'll follow up on this review to warn potential customers to be very wary of this company. My experience at iCracked was two-fold. The first time I went in, it was because I dropped my phone and my screen cracked. Naturally, while looking for the cheapest and best-reviewed option, I gravitated toward iCracked. I walked in to their part-post office/knick knacks store (?) and was immediately freaked out and turned off. You can blink and miss this spot, it doesn't help that it's super unprofessional inside. It looks like they found this building, did no customizing and set up shop just as the previous store failed. It didn't help that the first woman I spoke to who was behind the counter was accusatory and cold; if it wasn't for the positive reviews on this page and the fact that I paid $80 less than I would have paid at the Apple store, I would have walked right out. In fact, the cost and the ephemeral fix are the only two reasons I am giving this place two stars. I went through with the first repair, hesitant, skeptical and protective over my $269 cellphone. They got me my phone back within an hour. The screen looked fine, slightly more blue and not as bright as an Apple screen, but still crisp and clean, and not cracked. They even included a complementary tempered glass cover to prevent future cracks and scratches which was not asked for, but appreciated. Three months later, my phone developed really strange, multi-colored horizontal lines that suggested a hardware issue. I brought the phone back in to iCracked and was met with a fair amount of hostility by AJ. He flipped the phone around over and over, breathed heavily and asked me cyclical, repetitive questions about when the lines appeared and when I first noticed them, how long they'd been in place, if I had dropped my phone again, etc. Eventually he agreed to uphold his "lifelong warranty" and replace my screen but only on the condition of giving iCracked "a 5-star review." Super unprofessional and sleazy. Just recently, five months after I went in to get my screen replaced for the second time, my phone isn't responding to touch, and when it does, it glitches and selects things I don't touch. Texting, calling, searching, everything is a pain. I also noticed that the glass distributed by corporate iCracked is not of the same quality as the gorilla glass used by Apple. It scratches much easier than the Apple glass both with the tempered cover on, and also upon taking the tempered cover off (with the naked iCracked glass screen exposed.) I never had problems with minor scratches with Apple glass, and have had to replace two different plastic covers in order to take care of scratches after my iCracked repair. As a cherry on the top, Apple refuses to touch my phone. I made an appointment and drove to the Apple store today and told them my situation and they told me to go back to iCracked, as they will not replace, fix, diagnose, or look at products that have been tampered with by 3rd party repair places. I now have to buy an entirely new phone to avoid going back to a 3rd party repair place. As a previous customer, I would avoid iCracked. As a general consumer I would advise against any and all 3rd party repair companies. Bite the bullet, go to the Apple store, get your phone screen repaired and buy a LifeProof/Otterbox/quality case that will protect you from bumps, scratches and cracks in the future. If you have dropped your phone before, don't believe your habits will have changed between now and later. Protect the cellphone that you originally paid $250+ for and keep in mind that the $129 Apple screen repair fee is no joke, especially on multiple occasions. AJ and iCracked: I know this isn't a five-star review, but if you really care about customer service and providing a quality product, I hope you take this review under consideration. I was pretty happy with this place as far as the customer service and my phone when I left. My screen started popping out a couple weeks later. When I first noticed was when I took my case off - I didn't drop it or anything. I was about to go back in to have it fixed by them since it's supposed to be guaranteed and the screen completely stopped working while I was out of town. I went to a different place to have them look at it and there were screws missing which was why my screen was popping out. I made sure I asked if it was potentially my fault and they didn't find any body damage to indicate it should have been popping out because I dropped it or something. I ended up just having that place fix it because I couldn't wait to be able to get back, but if I was in the area I would have taken it back. Pretty disappointing. read more

I was having the day from Hell because I just lost my iPad. So I thought doing a little retail therapy would help soothe my nerves. When I walked in the door of my favorite shop, my phone slipped out of my hand. And I watched it fall to the floor land flat on its back. Horrified, I ran over to it panicked (because I just bought the phone a month ago). All I saw was my new phone screen completely shattered. I'm not talking about a few cracks here, I'm talking about millions of pieces of glass that would resemble some artistic mosaic. I called and spoke to Jeremy. He told me they just opened up their shop in the 1hr photo store right by my job. So I high tailed it over there. I got my iphone5 screen repaired in a half an hour. And I was thrilled. I also met AJ. I told him I had an iPhone 4 to sell and he was interested. So I raced home and came back. He gave me top dollar for my phone. I can't rave about these guys enough. So I called these guys at 4:54pm (they close at 5) and told then my story about my cracked phone. AJ gave me a quote and said if I came now they would wait for me but I might have to leave my phone overnight. I was currently at another iPhone repair store that was a little sketchy. I quickly grabbed my phone and raced over to icrack. I arrived 17 minutes after their closing time with a bent iPhone with the screen completely shattered. Jeremy the super rad tech comes over and uses his magic hands and bends my phone back into place and says he will just repair my screen now so I don't have to come back tomorrow. AJ showed my boyfriend and I these awesome screen protectors called 'tempered glass' which I recommend anyone with an iPhone to get. He installed them for us right away, gave us a free cleaning kit, and also gave us many discounts! Even though they were already working after hours for us! I was so shocked at their generosity. This kind of customer service is what makes them excel over all the other repairs. Not to mention the top notch products that they offer. Kudos to AJ and Jeremy for their amazing customer service, reasonable prices, and all their time they dedicate to fixing phones! They are located next to fresh&easy in the one hour photo store next door. They also have mobile tech guys available for all you lazy folks or busy businessmen that don't have time to leave your home/office. So I was really bummed...I dropped my Iphone in the street and yes, it cracked-really bad. Went to Verizon, there was no insurance, it was going to costs hundreds, and I would have to get a new phone. I started searching on the internet....Lot's of companies to fix broken Iphones - but who do I pick? Some of them want you to mail it to them-no way! I get a hold of a few, but AJ at Icracked, was the one that sold me over the phone. His personable communication style, his confidence, his flexibility, and his follow through sold me. I set up my appointment to see him, he comes to my work location (Wow! I think that costs an extra $5-but so convenient), fixes my phone in about 30 minutes, and it looks fantastic! First off, I must say that I don't really write reviews. If I like you, you'll keep my business, if I don't, then I'll just stop coming. That being said, the service that AJ offers along with his honesty and professionalism almost demand a review. I can't tell you how impressed I was with AJ from start to finish. I came across his business when looking at yelp for a place that could fix my dad's cracked iPhone screen. Went to investigate the website and its legitimacy, and after a few sections of information entered, AJ called me in about 10 minutes. I explained to him the situation, and he told me he could handle it, no problem. When I arrived at AJ's business, he invited me and my dad in, told us what he was going to do, and we left the phone with AJ with 30 minutes to kill. Decided to go to Best Buy to pick up a case so a similar incident wouldn't happen again, and by the time we got back to AJ, the phone looked as good as when it came off the line. Hiked 7 hours to a waterfall in the Australian Outback, wrapped my iPhone in my towel, set the towel aside, and went for a dip. When I got out of the water, I grabbed the towel and shook it (forgetting the phone was wrapped inside). I've dropped my phone before, but never had it gone tumbling through the air and onto dozens of sharp rocks. I'd been traveling for several months with the cracked screen since repair costs in Australia were $300 and $250 in New Zealand. I'm just in town visiting my family in Orange for a couple months and thought I'd see if I could find a local deal cheaper than $300, so I googled "iPhone broken screen repair Orange, California" and AJ's iCracked was the location closest to me and had excellent reviews. Assumed it was a brick-and-mortar store, so when I called and it went to what appeared to be a mobile phone's voice mail, I just hung up and didn't leave a message. I was going to try a couple more "established" places, but AJ actually called me back via caller ID and asked if I had called about an iPhone repair. We coordinated time and location via text messages thereafter and he was able to squeeze me into his schedule and was very flexible with his availability, even willing to book late evenings. I'm not going to lie, it did turn me off a little that he operated out of his apartment at the kitchen counter. I even told him that I thought the operation felt a bit "shady." But his price was comparable to all the other highly rated companies I found online, he was close to home, he used high-quality products, he had lots of experience (over 150 phones), and he was able to do it just 30 minutes. I have an unlocked GSM phone (formerly AT&T) so we did run into a few snafus after we rebooted it, but he was patient with his time and was willing to work with me to try to resolve all the random software issues that arose (e.g. Date and Time got all screwy, I couldn't log into my Google Voice app or access any of my email or update/purchase new apps, the screen kept freezing, the auto period wouldn't work after a double space tap, etc.). We couldn't figure it out so he hooked me up with a colleague in a different office who offered to take a look at it. AJ even gave me gas money to head out to see his colleague and offered to replace the phone if it couldn't be repaired. But before heading out to see his colleague, I brought the phone home, reset it, synced it, and restored it from a previous version. After all that, it was working fine. AJ said that he hadn't had any issues with other US network-based phones, but just a heads up if you have an unlocked phone (especially if you're using the Gevey unlocking chip), come prepared. Things to note: 1) Backup your phone as close to getting it repaired as you can just in case something wigs out -- this can happen when you pull the battery out. And yes, he will pull apart the whole phone so don't freak out because it puts it all back together. 2) Bring your laptop with iTunes with you if you can so that you can take care of any issues immediately by resyncing/ restoring. 3) He only takes cash or checks, so come prepared (no credit cards). 4) He doesn't provide an actual written receipt or written warranty (which is one year for all parts and labor), so if having that in writing will give you peace of mind and you need it (e.g. you have to submit a receipt to your company, etc.), let him know beforehand and he'll be happy to prepare whatever you need. Otherwise, ask him for a handwritten receipt and he'll take care of that for you on the spot. As for the glass, it looks flawless and the phone appears almost as good as new! Overall: good guy, good service, good quality. Recommend him and trust his product. Aj was referred to me by a friend about 8 months ago. It was the best referral I have ever received from anyone. The first time I had 2 phones to get fixed. The catcher---I needed it done in within an hour. There had been a family emergency and we needed to leave town. 1 of the iphones was for my daughter. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but i needed to be able to give her the iPhone to soften the bad news I was about to give her. I explained this to AJ, and he was more than understanding about the situation, and was also very compassionate. He said bring the phones down, and i will make it happen. It took me 15 mins to get to his location, and within 40 minutes I was on my way to go and pick up my daughter with both phones fixed and in hand. The 2nd time was this past Wednesday. I had the day off from work, and was going about my day like normal, and like a bonehead dropped my phone straight on its face, and shattered the screen. I had a DR. Appointment at 1130, so had no time to get it done before or even call AJ to give him a heads up that I needed it fixed. I got out of my DR's at 1:00 PM, and had to pick up my Daughter at 215. I decided to give AJ a call, and see on the of chance he could help. I explained my time line to him, and also explained that this day and this time is the only time I have this week. Again he said "hurry Down Here and I will get it done" Sure enough I was there by 120, and on the way to get my daughter by 145. I have never met anyone or dealt with any business that cares so much about there customers, and what they have going on. My normal experience with other companies is "well I can see what I can do" or "I cant get it done in that time frame" or They tell me they can get it done so I will go there, and then ends up not getting it done, and screws up my whole day. Not AJ and icracked. They accommodate and help you each and every time, and do what they say they are going to do. It is so refreshing to deal with a company that is like this. I trust him and I will continue to refer each and every person I come across that needs help to AJ and icracked. If you know me, and how busy I am, I never have time to write, nor do I like to write reviews or anything along those lines. This is my first time on Yelp writing a review. Just got back from a trip to Vegas and needed my phone fixed asap. My screen was black but the phone still worked, I could hear it ring and it still vibrated. This is a LONG overdue review! I have used AJ and his team 3 times thus far, and will be seeing them in the next day or so since I broke my screen, yet again. (If you are like me, make sure to sign up for the Advantage plan!) They have come out the same day each time I have called them. AJ is always there to answer his phone and the office manager is on top of getting one of their techs out to you promptly. Sometimes you'll even get some cool swag they will send out. The first two times I had Lauren come out to my house and did a great job fixing my phone each time. I think Kelsey was the name of my tech the third time and my phone got fixed while I was at work.
