From the matching SC Movers t-shirts to the careful padding of the door frame at both my old and new place, these guys were total professionals. They were upbeat and worked hard all morning to move me from one top floor apartment to another (lots of stairs!). They also wrapped some of my furniture, suggested ways to consolidate loose stuff, and dissembled/reassembled my bed. Rachel, who handled the booking, was also very responsive. Called a few companies from yelp and they had the lowest over the phone quote. Rachel was very helpful in scheduling my move, that needed I needed within 36 hours. The movers Broc & Archie were great, showed up on time and was very professional. I only needed one large desk taken apart and moved to another location, they were quick and careful not to damage any parts of the desk. The set up at the new location was great. These guys made my life a million times easier by helping me move my large items. Their truck was barely big enough to fit all of my stuff (admittedly I have a lot of things) and I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. If you have a larger home it might take more than one trip. The guys were nice and they worked hard and moved my belongings quickly and effectively. Based on this I would have given them a 4 star review (I try to not throw around 5 stars). However, there were a few things that dropped the score for me. First, they took a notch out of the wall in my new place (not to mention some scuffs and scratches on the old). Second, they did not protect my futon mattress or my regular mattress from their truck floor, this resulted in very dirty mattresses. They could have at least thrown down a moving blanket so it wasn't on the floor, and I thought they would take care of that stuff since they "supply everything." Overall I feel like if you need a moving company you probably can't go wrong with these guys, but there could be a better movers, I've only done this once so I am not too sure. read more

Shawn and Sean are The best movers by far. I called SC Movers to find movers for my mom who was living in a senior apartment. The movers arrived to find that the elevator was broken and my mom lived on the 3rd floor. While I am sure it had to be frustrating they smiled and said it was no big deal and that they were thankful for the opportunity to work in the middle of a pandemic. After going up and down three flights of stairs all morning they remained positive and kept their masks on to protect the seniors in the community. They wrapped and protected all of my mothers items. When they arrived to my home with my mother things they were so kind and even took the time to make my elderly mom smile. She has been without visitors for a year and these two really made her smile. They made sure they let her know they were taking good care of her things. Not only were they amazing movers, they were kind, courteous and very professional. I had short notice to move and this team performed tremendously. I hired SC Movers for a move within Sacramento and Shawn and Shawn showed up on time (and a bit early as I was still hitting snooze as the doorbell rang). They packed my entire house on Day 1 in 3 hours and on Day 2 moved me efficiently to my new home. Given the amount of items in my garage which took up more of the truck than I thought it would, Shawn and team made 99.9% fit in a single trip and I moved a few extra items myself to keep the move to one trip. I was worried about our move. Practically everything we owned had to be transported upstairs, including our washer and dryer and I didn't want anything broken. To top it off, we had a TON of stuff. So I had to go with the best rated local movers on Yelp. First, reaching out for a quote was quick and easy. I had questions, Rachel answered them all and helped me decide what I needed. Secondly, way more affordable that I had originally planned. And finally, it was moving day and all my worry vanished meeting Brian, Sean and Jason. They were friendly, funny, professional and above all EFFICIENT. We watched these guys load up the first round so carefully, yet super fast. On the second trip, you'd think they would be wiped out, but noooo, they offered to do things we hadn't expected like pack up all 100 of our tiny succulents and dump sand and all sorts of other random odd jobs. I was helping a friend with the planned organization of household items arriving via movers ...items to be stored within multiple rooms of a large shop. Each space was limited and we had prepared for the items carefully. Offloading and arrangement of furniture and boxes had to be as planned if possible, but there are always unknowns and things you simply can't plan for. Broc, Brian and Cain were on time, friendly, and couldn't have been more wonderful to work with and accommodating. Our every request was met with ease and helpful suggestions. Never did they seem concerned to just get the stuff off the truck ...no eye rolling or body language that suggested a lack of willingness to be helpful. While they were quick to 'get to it', hardworking and indeed had the truck unloaded in no time, we never felt rushed or our instructions ignored. It's the skill, and even more so at times, the attitude of your laborers that can make or break a business. These guys were great and the kind of representatives you can only hope the company acknowledges for their work and supports fully to retain. They owned the bar set today and we so appreciated it. Sorry of the late post. I have had nothing but the best and professional experience from SC Movers. We've used them last September to swap houses with my sister's landlord in a weekend and they completed the job pretty fast. In the beginning, it looked to be a challenge but they got it done. Shawn and Cody arrived right on time. They assessed the situation and began loading immediately. I have to say I think I did a real good job having everything organized for them. It took them less than an hour to load everything onto the truck. That included wrapping a few breakable items and blanketing my dressers. These guys are great! First off, I received a lot of quotes and SC Movers had great reviews and competitive and reasonable rates. Plus, they have someone who actually answers the phone and provides great customer service. Moving is no fun, especially during COVID but these guys took all the precautions necessary to make it a smooth, easy, and safe move. They handled my stuff with great care and took time to wrap everything and make sure nothing got dinged or damaged. We had a piano that's been in the family for generations that they took great care of too. On top of that, they're speedy! Both Shawns have it down to a science. We did most of the boxes ourselves to save time but let me tell you .... these guys were so fast, I probably should have left a few more boxes for them to take :). They also could have easily left when they finished at around 3hrs knowing there is a 4hr minimum that we would pay regardless, but they offered to stay and help move anything else we needed. They were well worth the money and while I hope to not have to move for a very long time, I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone else moving. read more

Short version: Had to move with short notice. SC Movers had the best moving AND storage rates. The office was quick to respond to requests and very friendly (Shawn & Rachel). The movers were prompt, friendly, professional and gentle with all my furniture. Had one small hiccup after moving in that was quickly resolved. I will use them again the next time I move and highly recommend them to all my friends and family in the Sacramento area. Long version: Had to move at very short notice and wasn't going to do it myself as I lived in a story apartment (garage, living area, loft). Reached out to several of the higher rated moving companies for quotes and of those that responded SC Movers was the only company that paid attention to the details of my move specified in the quote request. I needed to move my stuff out on Sunday (Aug 28th) but wasn't able to move into my new apartment until Weds (Aug 31) so I needed to have my stuff stored for a few days. I had to make additional requests to the other companies to get storage information from them. One company asked when a good time to come by for an estimate would be, never confirmed with me and they randomly showed up at my door. Rather off-putting as this was the company recommended by the leasing office. SC Movers not only started off with great customer service with the quote request they also had the best rates in town. I worked with Shawn and Rachel to get my move scheduled. One truck, 2 guys, 3 hours. Sounds good. I started packing up as much as I could to make their lives a little easier, and to try and stay around the 3-hour mark. Sunday morning Brock called to let me know he was on his way. Shortly after, him and his coworker were at my door. They were excited to see all my boxes were stacked by the door complete with edge guards and banding. They made a quick assessment of the move and made all the formalities with paperwork. Not long into the move two more guys showed up with another truck and the four of them busted out the move as quick as could be. They were all thrilled that I had cold bottle water for them. Unfortunately they weren't available to deliver on Wednesday but being that I booked their services with only five days notice I wasn't complaining. Thursday morning I got a call from Brock advising he was on his way. I gave him directions on how to navigate the new complex to get to my apartment. Brock and one helper unloaded the truck quick as could be and got all the boxes and furniture in the right rooms. Luckily for them I moved into a single story, ground floor apartment. I'm done with stairs. The only problem I had was the rails for my large sofa were forgotten. I didn't realize this until a month later when I finally started putting my living room set together. I contacted Rachel at 8:09PM obviously not expecting a response until the next day. Much to my surprise 30 minutes later I got a reply from her stating they have the rails and was very apologetic and she advised they would deliver them the next day. Sure enough, when I got home the rails were sitting on my enclosed patio. I don't fault them for forgetting the rails as my stuff was split between two trucks for the initial move and then put in storage. These things happen and they handled the issue promptly and professionally. read more

They explained why they could not take certain items (loose items or open boxes). They made sure the items coming off the truck went to the right rooms (even the unmarked boxes). They assembled and reassembled items with the speed and persicion of a pit team members. They made made sure that items was in their proper location before moving on. Then if we changed our mind. Set up the move and they arrived exactly on time. Three great guys; Brock, Dan and Shawn. Worked all day, non stop. Took 3 trips to get the job done, but sadly not completely done... not sure if I should have hired 4 guys and maybe a larger truck? That was a bummer, but on me for sure. For the rest I was extremely pleased. I would definitely use these guys again, would recommend them highly. Well priced; we had another company do an estimate and they were double the price. They smoked but very very discreetly; and no breaks doing so, just when they had to wait for the truck to carefully depart each time. Mike & Horace moved us today and they did an amazing job! They were professional, personable and very fast and efficient. I have a baby and 2 dogs, I was worried about working around that but they were great around all 3 and accommodated our needs.
