I don't usually love pasta, but Scaddabush just converted me. The Food: Chicken Parmesan: 9.5/10 - that first bite was incredible and totally surpassed my expectations. Not exaggerating when I say this was a game changer. Naked Mozzarella (with fig jam on the side): Always a favorite. I introduce everyone to this dish and they fall in love every time. Perfect way to start the meal. Moscato Frizzante: Sweet but not too sweet, paired beautifully with the chicken parm. Pistachio & Cream Martini (holiday feature): I hope y'all grabbed it before they discontinued it Jan 4th. It's delicious - I recommend saving it for dessert rather than having it before your meal. The Service: Our server wasn't chatty but was incredibly efficient, patient, and attentive. She let us taste multiple wines before we settled on one, and when I asked her to refresh my martini (I'd let it sit while eating), she brought it back perfectly chilled. Made it easy to flag her down when needed. The host was transparent about wait times and got us a great booth. The Vibe: Rustic, bougie Italian home aesthetic - always love how they decorate. It's a very social setting and gets loud during dinner hours (bring loop earplugs if you're noise-sensitive). The energy was great - everyone seemed to be having a good time. Only "Disappointment": The water tasted off. That's it. Everything else was excellent. Would absolutely return!
We went this past Friday to Scaddabush STC My husband booked reservations as usually it's busy, however it was not as busy as we thought it would be The restaurant has a nice comfy upscale vibe to it We started with the calamari It was good and the sauces that came with it were good....one was spicy while the other was like a lemon tartar I had the beet and goat cheese salad It was really good Definitely recommend this Me and my husband shared the Americano pizza It was so good.... Lots of pepperoni on it We ended the meal with some Zeppole The hazelnut dip that it came with was soooo good I will admit I may have dipped a finger in the hazelnut sauce because it was good Our server Andrea was wonderful throughout I would definitely come again to Scaddabush STC
Scaddabush is definitely not Italian food, it's essentially just a fast food "Italian" restaurant. Our server was really great, no complaints about him. It's just more so the quality of food is bad. You see the food and it looks like it's some kind of low budget food from New Jersey. We got the balsamic mozzarella that they say is made in house with freshly made bread everyday. It's obvious none of it is made every day, the bread looks like it came from the store, it was VERY hard and overcooked, it just crumbled. So we asked for fresh bread that wasn't overcooked, which we did get. The mozzarella didn't really have flavour and was pretty tough, hard to cut as well. I got the truffle and mushroom gnocchi. There was 0 sign of any truffle... the gnocchi had 0 flavour as well. I tried it on its own and it was very bland. The flavour came from the arugula, peas and mushrooms. The portion size is great but would be 10 times better if the taste was there. Overall, their food is very bland.
The only reason I keep subjecting myself to the subpar Italian food that is Scaddabush is because I have a family member who seem to like coming here. Everything I've tried here has been a sad excuse for Italian fare, except for their fresh pasta which is just about their only saving grâce. I don't like their tomato sauce, I don't like their pizza dough and I don't feel like most of their offering is worth the price tag it come with. I don't know why they would put sun dried tomates on a Margherita pizza and why providing à salad dressing on the side is à challenge. This time, the experience was extra soured by the burnt pattie and the bun on the Italian burger which was the least Italian thing I could order here. It's simple exécution issue that the kitchen could have corrected, but instead, they sent out à burger that was clearly not prepared well. I sincerely hope that no dining companion has a sudden urge to dine in at Scaddabush again in the near future because I hate waiting money on bad food.
I always enjoy visiting Scaddabush. My go to pasta is the lemon garlic shrimp spaghetti. The last time I went we also got a pizza which was ok. I enjoy their apps and most pastas. They also have great cocktails. A great spot if you are craving Italian. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Vibes: 4/5
We had a good experience at Scaddabush. We had a short wait at the front lobby area as it was busy, and again at our table. We were even provided some pieces of flatbread to stave off hunger while we waited for our food. The servers were professional and courteous. The food was absolutely delicious. The space was large and completely filled, so it was quite noisy. The polenta fries were the highlight of the night. Definitely recommend it!
I'm honestly torn as I write this because my experience was such a stark contrast to the one I had just a week prior. I visited the Woodbridge location with coworkers for lunch and ordered the same dish, and let me tell you--it was fantastic. But this time, I was in Scarborough and decided to try the location just outside the mall. While the service was friendly and attentive, the food was a major letdown. I ordered spaghetti with one meatball for over $25, and it was just... blah. The pasta was dry and clearly undercooked--it needed at least another minute to reach the right texture. To top it off, the dish arrived almost immediately after I ordered it, which makes me think it wasn't freshly made but just quickly thrown together because it was lunchtime. Would I go back to this location? Absolutely not. It's such a shame because I know how good this dish can be when done right. Unfortunately, this visit completely missed the mark for me.
Our server was attentive before it got really busy. Went for dinner, pasta was made in house. There was also many items. The open concept dining room made it very loud for conversation as others have mentioned and I do agree with that. Went in the middle of the week around 530pm and by the time we left most tables were full. Ordered a Bolognese pasta and fresh mozzarella. Mozzarella was delicious. Pasta was good quality with a nice bite however I found there not to be enough sauce for flavor unfortunately very watery sauce. Down side to an expensive 25$ pasta dish. Kale salad was alright not outstanding for $20. Would I come back nope.
Scaddabush delivered on both fronts. The Alfredo shrimp pasta was rich and indulgent without being heavy, and the pizza had a great crust with balanced toppings. A comforting, well-executed meal.
Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is located on the other side of Scarborough Town Centre beside the Jack Astor. There was quite a bit of parking when we arrived on the weekend evening. For the food, I ordered the butcher pizza and my wife ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with garlic focaccia bread. The pizza that I got wasn't satisfactory because it was on the dry side. The flavour was there; however, I feel that it wasn't baked in a stone oven. On the other hand, I tried some of the rigatoni bolognese that my wife ordered. It was a lot better and more satisfying than the pizza. The focaccia was served warm and it came with a spread of a basil garlic spread. The ambience of the restaurant gives you a more intimate and dimly lit experience. It has a nice touch that makes you feel you're somewhere in Europe. The server was attentive and nicely asked if we had any food allergies, which I do. I appreciate that gesture. Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant. It's probably not the last time we will come, but we definitely will order the pasta because the pizza wasn't for me.
I came here with my friends and I have to say one of the best Italian food I have ever tasted in my life. I got the Malfade pasta and the calamari, I have to say this is the best Italian food I have ever tasted in my life. The service was excellent, and the calamari was perfectly fried and with the sauce it was delicious, the pasta was amazing and they make the pasta fresh unlike other restaurants, everything on the menu looked amazing. I would suggest making reservations, I would definitely come back here and try the other dishes
I love going to Scaddabush, the experience is great each time. This time around I was craving a chicken parm at home so I got one delivered. The noodles weren't quite what I was expecting based on the Yelp review images from other Yelpers. On top of that, the portion looks quite smaller than I was expecting though Im not sure if that's just because of the poor choice in takeout box size. Nevertheless it was still very tasty, and I would go back for it, depending on the price lol.

The Balsamic Truffle Fresh Mozzarella was absolutely delicious, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with a glass of wine. 100% recommend! It was the group's favourite. read more
Restaurant was packed and service was busy. Orders came out okay with a few mix ups but wait staff tried to help resolve it no problem. Food was okay but as there was a lot of tables around celebrating the volume was quite loud. read more
We went this past Friday to Scaddabush Scarborough location They are located across from STC They are joined up with Jack's next door We booked reservations for Friday evening but they weren't too busy The restaurant has a casual upscale vibe to it We were seated in a booth near the bar Our server was Andrea and she was great throughout the evening We started with the calamari fritti It was good Calamari was a bit small but it was still good My wife had the goat cheese and beet salad It was really good We shared the Americano pizza It was super good and loaded with pepperoni We ended the meal with a dessert, enjoying a serving of zeppole It was good especially with the Nutella to dip in Overall the meal was great and we would definitely come again read more

Came here for dinner with some friends! the place is a bit pricier but you are partly paying for the ambience/service. I went with the sausage and fennel rigatoni for 24.99. I thought it was pretty tasty and enjoyed the mix of the peppers and the rose sauce. It was super filling as well. We did have a bit of a larger group so they charged a bit extra for gratuity as well (18%). Overall found it not a bad spot read more

I really wanted to give it a 3, the service was good, Ken was an excellent server. He made suggestions, chatty, but appropriate. He was so polite. The place was very clean. The food was just not that good. For $140.00 for 2 apps, and a shared meal, I expected better quality. The calamari were all small pieces, right out of the bottom of a box of frozen. There were a lot of red pepper rings to bulk up the app to make it look larger and a better value. . I couldn't eat the dip served with the toast, it was gross, my husband didn't think it was that bad, but would never order it again. The main looked great but tasted like cheap white grocery store Alfredo from a jar. For the same money I'd rather go to any other Italian restaurant. The city has a number of restaurants where the sauces are made from scratch, carbonara shouldn't be squeezed out of a plastic bag, and nothing comes premade frozen in a box. Do not recommend this chain. Not going back. read more
A slightly pricier option but the food was really good and flavourful! They were able to accommodate to your preferences or dietary restrictions, such as excluding meat for vegetarians. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they provided prompt service. The interior is cozy and makes for a good spot to hang out with friends. read more
I've always enjoyed coming here for pizza and pasta after shopping at STC, so I was surprised by the low rating. The pizza was great and I enjoyed the dishes for their "A Taste of Campania Menu" (I'm not sure if that is only around for a limited time) For salads, I would recommend the Caprese Panzanella if you are sharing with a 2-3 people and don't mind manually splitting the cheese. read more
Scaddabush is one of my fave franchise restaurants. Love their pasta but my weakness is the fresh mozzarella ball. Service is always great. Never any issues. The ambience and decor go well with the food. Oh and can't forget their sangria! Love it. My fave. read more
We hadn't had scaddabush for a while and we were in the area. Figured we'd order ahead for takeout. Service: We ordered online and followed the instructions. No one came out for about 10 min so we called inside and the order came promptly. I don't think their online system works - probably best to call or just ask someone. Saw someone go in after us and walked out with his food before us. They did put some red pepper flakes on the side as per our request which was great. Food: The butcher's pizza was pretty good. The crust had a nice chew, the pepperoni and sausage had great flavor without being overly salty. I will say we only had like 2 pieces of bacon and we didn't see or taste any roasted garlic. Taste was 4/5 but had to take a point away for missing/few toppings. Price: It's more expensive than I remember it. The pizza was 20.25 before tax and tip. Comparing this to blaze pizza or pi co., the price is definitely much higher for a similar pizza with less toppings and less choice. Overall, not bad but definitely on the higher cost end. read more

I did not read any reviews so when I went to post mine this evening I was surprised at the 3 star average (I didn't get a chance to read them, so I suspect it was all about price, as it is a little pricey). We personally loved the food and ambiance. It's a nice place and the food portions were decent, so much so that we all took home our left overs. We started with the charity bread and an order of balsamic mozzarella (fresh, made on site). My kids had the Chicken Parmesan, hubby had a pasta dish and he subbed chicken out for shrimp. Our server, Ken, was super knowledgeable about all the meals (just don't sing "I am Ken" to him LOL). Wine prices are on par but wish we went Wednesday as they are 1/2 price bottles. It was overall lovely! read more
Quick and Painless. We Love Scaddabush, and we have been to many of the locations around the GTA. For a Mid-Week Birthday celebration, we decided to gather at the Scarborough Town Center location this time around. Since it was a family gathering and not the weekend, I kept things simple, I ordered Pasta and a dessert. This is one of the restaurant chains that my family and I can agree on the food. The service was great, and the ambiance was nice. What I love about Scaddabush is its take on classic Italian foods. This is best described as Italian 'comfort food'. The food is flavour packed and portion sizes are generous. My kids and I are big fans of Bolognese so I ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese this time around. It's a nice pasta made with Angus beef, sausage, smoked bacon, San Marzano tomato sauce, seasoned whipped ricotta, Parmesan, basil oil, and fresh basil. I ended my meal with a nice simple dessert as well, a couple of scoops of Vanilla Ice cream which tasted like heaven after the heavy pasta. This location like others keeps to the Scaddabush standards. It's conveniently located near the mall and highways and always has plenty of parking. We had a great time and I'm sure you will too. read more
This is the location to go for tasty food and friendly service! Downtown also provide excellent service. Sadly, cannot say the same about the one at Richmond Hill. It was not a one off experience as other friends also said the food served was not on par with other locations. read more

An updated review since with the current covid policies! Things to note: - Must wear a mask when entering the restaurant - QR code to access menus Let's start off with what I liked about my dining experience at Scaddabush. - Easy access to the menus through QR code - Portion size of dishes (as you can tell based on the photos) - Price value is average - Food arrived at a reasonable time - The tirmasu Now moving onto what I didn't like and feel the restaurant could improve on. - The sauce for the pasta had a significant amount of oil that was very visible in the dish. - Lacked flavour and was not offered pepper or parmesan compared to other restaurants. - Service was significantly slow at 4pm. - It took awhile to get our server's attention just to ask for water. - Heat lamps on the patio would turn on and off and were placed in random areas (not efficient for guest seating). Overall, Scaddabush is still a great place to catch up with friends and family. You get what you pay for, but do ask for pepper or parmesan if you order pasta to enhance the flavour a little! I'd suggest dining inside as the outdoor-dining experience needs improvements. read more

Scaddabush is oftentimes our fancy pasta go-to. While a $30 pasta is rarely justifiable, it's sometimes exactly what you need to make a special occasion... special . At a high level, the portions could be much bigger, but presentation and delivery *kind of* makes up for it. I believe the pasta is made fresh in house which is also a plus. I liked the Mushroom Truffle Fettucine the best and my siblings always fiend for the carbonara. Overall just about what you'd expect! read more
*** Updated review *** Got sold by BlogTO's post for their new menu Came to try their 8-layered lasagna but was told it's not that great Well, not that it's not great but it doesn't come out as predicted. Such as it would fall apart due to the many layers. So instead we tried their Seafood Puttanesca and Puzza Pizza instead with a generous pour of red wineThose were delicious. Unfortunately they were so busy on a Saturday evening that my seafood were half raw However, they made up for it by giving us a brand new one to go.... I still had a time in the bathroom though My server Davis was great and fun, the vibe was still great. The bathroom though needed to be maintained a bit more. Understanding that it's quite busy, maybe the customers should just learn to flush their own toilets to be honest. Overall still a good experience. Definitely make a reservation early on on a weekend! That helped! read more
We had dinner on a weeknight. Service was great. Food was good. The noodles in the shrimp pasta was over cooked. Everything else was good. The spinach and artichoke dip was the best I've ever had! The toasted bread was perfectly crispy. They gave a chocolate cake for the birthday celebrant. We stayed until closing time, but no one told us it was closed until we noticed we were the only ones left in the restaurant. It was nice of the staff not to rush us out. read more
We drove by this restaurant countless times, so we decided to check it out. We were presently surprised to say the least. It turns out to be one of the best Italian restaurant in Scarborough. First of all their interior design and decorations are on point, very thoughtful. It took quite a while to get our table to be ready, even though the restaurant was practically empty, only two other tables were being occupied. We ordered fettuccine bolognese and lasagna. Both were very delicious and extremely flavourful. Lasagna was probably one of the best in town. It's also very reliably priced. Definitely coming back again! read more
I had this urge to socialize and play therapist with a coworker friend of mine, who lives near the mall, and many other options closed down their patios to simply focus on indoor dining, so my friend chose this place as other patios were all booked, if not had a longer wait time and/or not fully sheltered Location: 5/5 Amble parking lot, Clear Signage, Accessibility, Close to a Major Mall and Highway, Cineplex, and multiple stores or attractions to go to nearby and proximity within Scarborough itself! Ambience and Decor: 4/5 One of my favourite patios thus far! I love how it sheltered us from the heavy rain last night! The entire patio is well lit with simple fairy lights. There are heaters and plexiglass dividers for each pair of tables, flower pots for extra colours and a cute jar with dry pasta inside and a QR code on its lid for their menu. Heated. Sheltered, Colourful and Well lit? Yes please! Food quality: 4/5 PEACH MANGO BELLINI 2.25 OZ $10.95 Refreshing! I love the bolder flavours of peach and mango paired with the subtle flavour of cassis (black currant liqueur). The drink needs to be drank a bit slowly, so as to let the icy purée melt more. NAKED Mozzarella Board $16.50 Our server totally up sold us this mozzarella charcuterie board, but I liked that he described all of the various options to us. This San Marzano tomato jam was more tart and richer in density and flavour than other tomatoes, so it was a lovely spread for the slices of focaccia. The EVOO and sea salt were nice additions. The mozzarella itself was a pretty dense ball of cheese that my friend had to really dig into to eat. It never melted and kept its shape throughout the dinner. 6oz MEDITERRANEAN SALMON $27.99 The elevated mix of saltiness, bitterness, and sourness of the dish all mainly came from the layered olives, lemon dressing, basil oil, and fried capers. The beans added some carbs to the dish to make it more filling, not that it was entirely needed. Medium rare is the best I'd say, neither dry nor overly moist, the dressings and oils added to the dish not only helped in packing a ton of flavours to it, but also to retain its moisture throughout the meal. If you like bitter, sour, and salty food this would definitely be a go-to! They did have a decent variety of seafood and vegetarian options in their menu, so I was pleasantly surprised by that. Value: 4/5 The prices were all reasonable and where it should be. Portions wise, this place totally filled me up and is worth every dollar, because of all of the ingredients used. Definitely, did not expect to be so full when I did not order too much food. We had split the mozzarella charcuterie board. My drink was mostly a slush..., but the white beans in my salmon main, did make it a denser meal. Service: 3.5/5 At the time of arrival, due to the heavy rain, there was only one group of 3 outside and another pair who just showed up minutes before we did... shouldn't have taken over half an hour to wait or get a table when the patio itself was practically EMPTY! Worst part was not everyone had an umbrella with them, so some had to wait inside their car... ugh if it was not for my coworker friend, I'd have went elsewhere... Their roof only covered a few people in the line, while the screener/greeter register parties of 2-3 guests at a time inside a small sheltered storm door area right outside the restaurant... yup, I am only eating here once during the pandemic... I have been to dozens of restaurants for indoor dining since the vaccination passport became the norm and this was my first time having to wait so long and in the rain, too... places much bigger and fuller, too. I think they need to improve or speed up their hosting service. There were only 4 tables outside even at the end of our meal, the server came to serve us all at once to save the hassle of going in and out as often, which was understandable, but one of the patrons had to go in the restaurant to find our server, because she did not want to wait over 10 minutes just to be served water... Ken, our server, was quite charming and made some good recommendations for us, besides some small talk, so that's where the extra 0.5 in service is for. Overall: 4.2/5 Ironically, this is still the best review to date that I've given them. I'd rather terrible or let down experiences here before, twice in fact. Due to the fact that it's so well located, with decently priced menu with sizeable portions and decent food quality, and wider selections of food, and an attractive patio, I can understand why this place is still quite popular enough for patrons to go through all this hassle just to get a table here. I can see myself coming back here for simpler socials and date nights, so hence I gave this place a 4 star. This is a decent place for group dinners without breaking anyone's wallets and now that their menu is more extensive, my pickier friends can come, too. read more
