Came here on a Wednesday to have the $1.50 a shuck deal. I did call ahead to confirm which pasta dishes contained alcohol (due to an allergy) - they indicating the lobster and shrimp tagliatelle was safe. Our waitress was great. She did confirm with the kitchen and one we were told was okay was in fact not. However she did suggest the clams pasta and she had the request to not have it made with alcohol. Overall everyone was pleasant. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. The food came at a reasonable speed. The food overall was meh, nothing outstanding. Lacked umami. For the price you would think we would be raving. Branzino had so many bones in it - it was just annoying to eat. If I was to ever come back it would be strictly for the oysters.

Exceptional service and great food truly define a dining experience We've come to Diana's in Markham a few times now, and our server Veronika has provided incredible service on every occasion. She provides clear menu guidance, and has a very pleasant/professional demeanor. She also knows how to make an excellent beverage! The food is top notch and the prices are definitely fair. We'll be back :)

We had a mixed experience at lunch at this Markham Diana's Seafood location. I would have given a 2.5 if half points were available. Appetizers and mains were ordered. The restaurant was not full but we ended up waiting a long time for our meals. There was a long gap between the apps and mains. My friends liked the grilled calamari, tuna salad and steak sandwich. My hubby enjoyed his pasta special. I did enjoy the chowder but I was unimpressed with the fish and chips. The chips were ok but the fish was two pieces of haddock heavily battered. Very disappointing. I've had better fried fish at East York or Halibut House and more reasonably priced too. Parking is on site.

The appetizers for the most part took out the enjoyment. It's not that our group could not afford it but $25 octopus for one small tenticle cut into 8 pieces is ridiculous! And $18 for a small plate of beets? I understand the need for profit but this is taking us for fools!! Our server was excellent and probably saved this review by one star with her excellence! Very attentive, great attitude and very smart! In general I found the price vs portion size not in alignment. They went too far to the size of company profit vs. Good value.

Went to Diana's Oysters Bar & Grill in Markham last week to celebrate early Christmas with family, not knowing that they still have the Tuesday $1 Oyster deal! (every guest must order a drink) Everything was delicious! We also love lounge area set up in the front with the Christmas tree ^^ I would recommend the following: - Clam Spaghetti (Seasonal) - Grilled Whole Branzino - Cherry Stone Clams - Fanny Bay Oysters - Kumamoto Oysters I would also recommend the $9 Gillardeau, if you have never tried it before! It was recommended by our server; she said Gillardeau is known as the Rolls Royce of Oysters! 講到勞斯萊斯咁犀利, 梗係要試下先 lol. It is only available for a limited time for the season, and it is definitely worth a try once!

We have been to the Scarborough location many times so wanted to try the Markham location because we were in the area. Restaurant from the outside looks small but it is massive inside..and the decor is nice. We had a booth in the back but the seats seemed far from the table so for smaller people like us, we had to sit right at the edge of the seats. Oysters and Ceviche were amazing. Super fresh and well balanced. Wife had the sea bass which was well cooked and had a very fresh taste. I had the lobster pasta which was good but after many bites it became too rich. I wish the sauce had less cream because with the fresh seafood that should be the star. Service was very good and attentive. Value for the money I had to deduct 1 star. I know good quality seafood equates to a higher price but throw in some fresh bread or something. The last time we went to Diana's was pre-Covid and it was great, this time it was just okay. Is it a Scarborough versus Markham location issue?? Don't know..have to go back to the Scarborough location to see if it is still amazing.

Disappointed is a understatement. Me and my boyfriend came here tonight for dinner and unfortunately the food was not good at all. We ordered the altlantic salmon and seafood orzo and fried calamari. All three dishes were disappointing. The calamari was small and had no taste for the dill sauce. The Atlantic salmon was super over cooked with no taste (super bland) with the veggies being super undercooked to the point that I was only able to finish the salmon only after asking the waitress for salt, pepper, sauce and that still didn't help with the bland taste. The seafood pasta tomato sauce tastes like it was a canned tomato sauce dumped on top of the pasta. Utterly disappointed.

Look at those fresh succulent glistening oysters we ordered delivery, just so beautiful. The freshness from the oyster, the light hint of saltiness, and the sweet texture of the meat, what a great combination. $70 + tax can get this quality and multiply with its quantity, it's simply a fantastic oyster feast. Totally recommended!

As I mentioned in my previous review, Diana's Oyster Bar & Grill is my most favorite oyster bar in the GTA. I also mentioned I always visit them during the winter months, as the oysters are in season and much fattier. The first thing I notice is Belon oyster is back on the menu after not available for two years (waitress told me). I am super excited, as I am a huge Belon oyster fans. For those of you who haven't try Belon oyster before, the sweetness and taste of one Belon oyster is stronger than having a dozen of Malpeque or Fanny Bay oysters in my opinion. When pair with their promotion Chardonnay, the Belon oyster aftertaste lasted for hours. For all your Belon fans, don't miss out this opportunity. As Belon is seasonal and not common elsewhere. I also ordered their Fish & Chips and I wasn't expecting to be this good. Their Fish & Chips is the best I had in the GTA. The fish batter is super thin and crispy. The Haddock fillet inside is light, moist, and fluffy. The Coleslaw is perfectly blended, which is not too sour but enough to clean your palate. Plus, their frying oil is very clean compared to other fish and chips places. The only downside is their fries, which is much worse than McDonalds. Overall, I love this place and I am keep coming back every winter season.

Clean and large dining area with a high top bar and TVs. Waitress was very attentive in caring for us. We visited during the peak lunch hour on sunday and we were able to easily get a seat. There is lots of free parking in front and to the side of the restaurant. However the food was too salty and salad was over dressed. Unfortunately I wont be coming back.

The interior is very spacious with lots of tables and booth seatings. There is a decent-sized bar with TV screens near the back of the restaurant. The seafood is average - decent but nothing out of the ordinary or something makes you go 'wow'. The portion size of sides that come with the Boiled Whole Lobster is bigger than the portion size of sides that come with the other main dishes. Service is alright but kind of lacking in attention at times. There was a pretty big time gap between when different main dishes came out, and it was a bit hard to get someone's attention when we needed to get something.

One of my fave spots for oysters. Definitely a great spot for good quality oysters and loving the $1.00 oysters (select oysters). Always fresh and so good! Mostly come here for the oysters but I enjoy going for lunch instead of dinner. Service here is very friendly and following COVID protocol (wearing mask, etc). I feel safe while dining here and people are well spaced out. Overall restaurant and washrooms are clean as well. I definitely will be back when indoor dining returns. This is definitely worth checking out!

My party of four visited during Taste of Oakville, and in hindsight, the evening foreshadowed…read moreitself early -- the restaurant's website was down with a 404 error, and we kept finding two different addresses (one apparently their old location). We eventually found it. Upon arrival, the door swung open and struck a seated guest -- a sign of just how small the space is. The restaurant was full except for one four-top (clearly ours), and we stood awkwardly in the entrance -- which is essentially inside the dining room -- waiting to be acknowledged. When greeted, we were asked if we had a reservation. We said yes. "Table for eight?" we were asked, which felt impossible given the size of the room. We clarified four, and were pointed to the only open table. No name was requested; we realistically could have just walked in and taken it. The space is starkly lit with aggressive bright white lighting that feels more clinical than cozy. The artwork is interesting and gives a gallery-like feel -- it seems the restaurant is aiming for a downtown Toronto wine bar aesthetic, but it doesn't quite land. Our table was missing water glasses, and the stemware was mismatched -- not in an intentional, charming way, but more in a "we ran out" way. Once seated, we weren't acknowledged or offered water for nearly 20 minutes. Not rushing guests is one thing; leaving them feeling forgotten is another. When our server finally arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. One glass of water was poured before he realized another was missing. He disappeared, returned with a glass, inspected it mid-pour, then walked away again (dirty glass). After several more trips and long gaps, everyone eventually received water -- about 15 minutes later. He was polite and friendly, just clearly untrained. He shared that the owner is also the sommelier, cook, and server, and that he liked working there because he wasn't expected to know much about wine -- an interesting admission for a wine bar. The owner greeted us warmly but asked only one guest about wine preferences -- ironically the only non-wine drinker at the table. The concept appeared to be sommelier-led, though this was never explained. If that is the intention, engaging the entire table is essential. That said, the wines themselves were enjoyable; the service surrounding them was not. The Taste of Oakville menu promised three curated 3-oz pours paired with a charcuterie board for two. The pours arrived unevenly and slowly, with little explanation of the pairings. The charcuterie boards were plain and inconsistent between tables despite containing similar items -- basic fruit, crostini, simple cured meats, small portions of brie, and two slices of truffle cheese. No crackers, spreads, or thoughtful touches elevated the experience, and presentation varied noticeably. Our second wine pour didn't arrive until our mains, and service moved so slowly we requested a wine list to order a bottle. We were told there is no wine list -- "we're not that kind of restaurant." Instead, all reds are $80 and all whites $70, and the owner selects the bottle for you after asking only red or white. The concept might work if explained upfront; without context, it was confusing. At one point, noticing my empty glass, our server poured me a random red -- which turned out to be the same wine as our first pour -- and then left without serving anyone else. We had to remind staff we were still waiting for our second curated pour. Nothing about the experience felt curated. The most surprising moment of the night came when our mains arrived. As we lifted our appetizer plates -- still holding olive pits, fruit rinds, and crumbs -- the servers told us not to worry about clearing them and proceeded to place our main dishes directly on top of the used plates. I'm still shocked. I wouldn't do that at home, let alone expect it at a Lakeshore, or quite frankly, any restaurant. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle, which was tasty but contained only two small pieces of short rib -- and was difficult to enjoy while staring at discarded rinds beneath the plate. The other two ordered brisket sliders: two sliders, no sides. They tasted good but left diners hungry. One guest joked they kept thinking the fruit rinds were fries -- unfortunately accurate. We tried to make the best of the evening, but it never delivered the cozy wine-and-charcuterie experience we had anticipated -- dim lighting, thoughtful pairings, something special. After finishing our meal, we requested our bills and reminded staff we were still waiting for the third curated pour. We were told "five minutes." Those five minutes never came. Eventually, wanting simply to leave, we paid a single combined bill and sorted it out ourselves. Dinner for four totaled $460. This was not the boutique Lakeshore dining experience we expected, and ultimately, it was deeply disappointing.
