They subcontracted to an individual who had never done pool tile or coping. The stone coping around the spa was a disaster and had to be ripped off and redone. The rest of the stone around the pool still has issues. The tiling was done with thinset and never grouted properly. The resurfacing was not done correctly leading to stains and scaling. Nothing we hired them to do was done correctly despite us being very understanding about shifts in timelines and material shortages. Neither the owner or his son have responded to communication attempts to correct issues.

I made it very clear during the sales process that these were non-negotiable for me. In fact, I was already prepared to purchase a Bullfrog spa from another dealer but decided to stop here before making my final decision. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!  Unfortunately, I now know the salesperson misrepresented key facts in order to close the sale. After working with the service department six times over the past year, it has become clear that Dimension One has severe reliability issues (and has for a long time) and is no longer a viable brand. I've since learned the company is bankrupt and widely regarded as one of the worst options in the industry for the very criteria I emphasized during my purchase, and was known by the salesman.  I have owned this spa for over a year, and for the last six months it has not functioned properly at all. This is not a reflection of the service department, who have been professional and responsive. The issue is that I was sold a defunct product by a salesperson who knew the true condition of the brand. I regret trusting the information I was given and feel misled or defrauded into purchasing a product that does not align with what was promised. I strongly encourage potential buyers to do extensive research and proceed with caution before purchasing from this business.

When our spa cover, which we'd purchased new along with the spa, needed replacement after being damaged in a hailstorm, we ordered a replacement cover, but the salesman wrote incorrect instructions on the order form, resulting in a cover that didn't fit our spa. My wife spoke with the manager Chris, who said he would speak with the manufacturer and look for solutions. When we hadn't heard back from A-Tex for a week and a half, we decided to order a replacement cover from another vendor. Just before we were about to place the order, Chris phoned informing us that our "new cover" was in and ready for delivery, and asked us to pay half the cost. We told A-Tex that as long as they'd had the cover fabricated we would accept it, but would not pay for the new cover since it was fully covered by our insurance company. A-Tex agreed to this as long as we would pay a $75 delivery charge in cash. When the replacement cover was delivered, the first thing A-Tex's delivery people did was cut the old spa cover in half. The new cover turned out to be only half as thick and heavy as the first cover. Since the original cover was destroyed, we had no choice but to pay the $75 delivery fee and accept the replacement. When my wife spoke with our salesman and with Chris about these issues, Chris was extremely rude and said, "You've already taken enough of my time and I'm not talking to you any more" and hung up on her. Every step of the way, A-Tex's staff has been unresponsive, careless, deceptive and rude with us. We eventually brought the matter to the attention of our credit card company, disputing the charges on the basis of fraud.

I hired Brighten Pool to renovate and partially remove my 1970s pool as part of a larger backyard…read moreand home remodel. I primarily worked with Brian, who was always polite and respectful. I truly wish I could give them 5 stars for that alone, but unfortunately the execution, communication, and timelines fell short. The first issue arose when the pool was drained and some of the water flooded into my neighbor's yard. We gave Brighten Pool 6-7 months to complete the work, but at every stage we had to push to keep the project moving. The pool was eventually finished about three months later than promised, in December. While delays are not uncommon in the pool industry, the real problems started after completion. Almost immediately, the pool began losing more than an inch of water per day. I raised this concern with Brian multiple times, but he insisted it was "normal" due to weather conditions and largely dismissed my concerns. Over several months, my water bills climbed to more than $400 a month. Out of frustration, I hired an independent leak detection company (despite Brian cautioning that they would "just take my money"). The company found two leaks--one in the main drain (which Brighten's team had supposedly repaired to meet code) and another in the return line. They also identified gaps around the skimmer, decking, and coping. Throughout this process, Brian's responses shifted from "this is normal" to "leak detection companies are a rip-off" to ultimately "this isn't my problem, it must be your irrigation." What I was looking for wasn't monetary compensation--I simply expected accountability, an explanation of what went wrong, and a genuine attempt to propose a solution. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Of all the things we did to our house during our renovation, building the pool was the easiest because Brighten was so buttoned up. The whole process from start to finish was 10 weeks. It would have been 8, but we lost 2 weeks to the freeze. Whenever an issue arose which is always the case on a big project they handled it quickly and efficiently. They also took care of all the permits with the city! Brian the owner, and Douglas our project manager are great guys. Highly recommend!

After only 3 months, 3 light covers have broken off & caused the tub to lose about 50 gallons a day. It's a known issue per the service department & apparently happens often. I'm 96 miles from the store & the mileage fee costs me about $230, which is absolutely infuriating. For a $9000ish hot tub to be so rinky dink is cause for raising my voice. I won't stop here. Dimension needs to be accountable for this poor design flaw. Buy another brand from ATEX. Again, my frustration is with Dimension - not Atex. They're helping me out, but what's to keep these things from falling apart again?
