I am updating my review.. it's been 3 yrs. There are four spots on my pool bottom, size of a dime or a bit less... but my 7yr old informed me about them because she likes to snorkel... these spots have chipped off. I am keeping my review at a 5 at this time. Will await company response...I am hopeful that these spots can be repaired. This past week Paradise Pool Plastering resurfaced our 30 year-old pool and we couldn't be more happy with what is a total transformation! The pool is beautiful. Our pool had been your basic white plaster surface but over time had become discolored and was delaminating in places and looked rough. Not only that, its condition made it difficult to maintain. Kyle, our primary point of contact for the project, was a real pleasure to work with. Whenever you start a project like this, you want to know that you can trust and have confidence in management and the skilled trades people who actually do the work. Fortunately, the Paradise Pool team is very experienced with one of the leads having almost 30 years experience. Instead of plaster, we decided to go with a tahoe blue quartz surface which is more durable. The first step was for the prep team to ready the surface by chiseling off the plaster down to the concrete as needed. Much to my surprise, they discovered that water had been getting behind the plaster in some areas which resulted in large areas of plaster coming off. This process took two days and the team was very careful to remove and haul out the debris leaving behind a clean deck area. The next step was for the finishing team to apply the new quartz surface. They too were very careful to protect our wooden deck on 3 sides and the cool deck surface on the other side by taping off the entire perimeter of the pool. The whole finishing process is pretty amazing. The Paradise team worked quickly and efficiently with each team member performing specific tasks. The new blue surface came out flawless and is really striking. If a new pool surface is in your future, I highly recommend Paradise Pool Plastering. Their team and finished product is excellent. After a pool leak detection company sent me a quote for $1500 to fix a pool leak (and some other plaster issues) I called Brendan at Paradise Pool Plastering who basically told me over the phone how to fix it myself and save me $1500. He wasn't interested in coming out and wasting my time, but he was interested in me not wasting my money. I think that says a lot about a company from a customer that doesn't have any history with them. If i have issues in the future, they will be my first call. read more

We used Paradise Pool this winter to resurface our pool with the mini pebble with a touch of glass resurfacing material. Our pool looks so beautiful! Brendan was such s pleasure to work with. He came out to our house and explained and showed us the different pool resurfacing materials. He was so responsive to our calls, texts and emails. I would have to agree with another poster, it speaks volumes of a company how they handle issues when not everything goes to plan. We had some minor hiccups with my plaster, and both Mark and Brandan have been very responsive and fixed all issues. Not only did they fix everything, they made it better. They are a busy company because of the fantastic job they do, but they are not too busy to ensure you are 100% satisfied. Chad, the pool doc, who they use for new starts is also awesome. Our experience with Paradise Pools was superb. Brendan was knowledeable and prompt in always getting back to us. Tony was in charge of the crew for the prep work and he was AWESOME. Their work from prep to finish is perfection - we couldn't be happier with the results. They go above and beyond in timeliness, cleanliness and quality of work. However ... as others have mentioned, IF there is any other problem (in our case a small leak and the new light didn't work) they will refer you to a third party to fix the problem at your cost. We would still highly recommend them, just know that they may not take responsibility for anything out of the ordinary. read more

We researched for weeks before choosing Paradise Pool Plastering. They were very reasonable, but not the cheapest. What impress me initially was their product knowledge and integrity. I trusted them to do a good job and I wasn't disappointed. The job was completed on time and the finished product was fantastic. The cleanup left the site in immaculate condition. Brendan Norris was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Very responsive. There are lots of options in Central Texas, in my mind, this is the best of the bunch. I rarely give reviews but after a bit of nightmare building a pool this past year I didn't have many contractors or subcontractors that I would rate above a 2 star including my actual pool builder. However, the team at Paradise pretty much saved our pool. They were efficient, clear on their pricing, their work, and stuck to their timeline. They communicated clearly and often. They set expectations and were available and responsive to any questions or requests prior to, during, and after the process. They made a repair that took the pool builder over 5 months just to ACKNOWLEDGE. They were extremely professional. After 2 months in our pool EVERYONE comments on the plaster which is Stonescape mini-pebble with abalone. It takes a special technique and these guys were incredibly skilled and helpful. It was not cheap but it was well under the price from probably the most well-known competitor in the category. With about 20 major aspects to building a pool the plaster was by far the easiest and best experience with Paradise. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone. Everyone will see your plaster. Go with the best for your pool. If you have a simple basic pool and you do not need them to come back, then they are adequate. HOWEVER, if you have an in ground cleaning system then they are either incompetent or negligent; I think it is a combination of both. They totally ignore emails, phone calls, and if you miraculously catch Mark or Brenden they will tell you they will be out to check out your concern, but never do. Simply unresponsive and unprofessional. Had to pay another service a substantial amount of money to clean up the mess they made. Do not recommend them. read more

I would not recommend this company from our own personal experience. Mark is extremely unprofessional, a hot head, and certainly lacks some customer service skills. He does not have attention to detail at all and the fixes that we needed he labeled us as a "difficult customer" even though these were fixes that when we asked him, "Would you want your pool like this?" and his response was, "No." If you have high expectations and want a job done correctly without a bunch of headaches, do not hire this company. This was for a resurfacing/retiling job of an existing pool. I would not recommend Paradise Pools at all. Mark is a good talker/salesperson to your face but beware. read more

We had several quotes before deciding on Paradise Pools for our re plaster. Mark and Brendan are incredibly responsive and answered all my questions promptly from start to finish. I felt terrible because we had a family emergency when they came out to look at the pool and completely forgot to notify them but it was no problem. They looked at the pool anyway and sent us an estimate. They were very easy to deal with and the job was done faster than I thought. I vividly remember the time when I was referred to for an acid wash to the pool. At first I was told that they will also pressure wash the surrounding stone by the pool. This was part of my agreement. They came out to only acid wash my pool and left so I called the owner and he immediately scheduled an appointment with me. He told me that they don't normally clean the surrounding stone work by the pool not even pressure wash it!! I reminded him that this was part of our agreement and I noticed that some whittish line of haze around the pool's plaster. He told me that he will make them come back again and redo the acid wash and I agreed to even pay extra to also change the filters with the new filters that I purchased. I made a check to him at the time with the full amount plus the extra! When they came back again, I did not see them pressure wash the stone work or change the filters, so I texted him and called with no reply! read more
