These boats are in nice shape and easy to pile your junk in. Just a few steps from the front of the shop and parking. You are encouraged to book on line and it's easy. They don't bog you down with a lot of restrictions and the bay is protected from the gulf so it's easy going. This is mainly a shallow bay so you have to pay attention to the tides so as not to get in too shallow and destroy the habitat with they motor or get stuck somewhere. You also do not have to go far to find good fishing or a nice place to anchor for the day. The kayaking is great here for the same reasons. My only complaint was the ignition switch housing was broken on our boat so it took some fiddling around to get it in the right place to start the engine. Not a deal breaker for me and by now it should be fixed. The boat was the Dolphin 2, I think. You can rent a half or full day but the tide is high at around 2 everyday so the 2 to six is a little better time for fishing or roaming around the bay. read more

The pontoon rental was the highlight of our trip to Cape San Blas. We saw the most dolphins we've ever seen in the Bay. We were able to see the tip of St Joseph's State park with sharks in the water as we pulled in and pristine sand dunes to admire with only deer abd coyote tracks in the sand. The boat was clean and performed great. The help explained everything and was extremely courteous. It's well worth it to rent from Scallop Cove too. read more

On our last visit to the Cape, we rented paddle boards and kayaks one day and a pontoon boat another. All were in great condition and super easy process to get set up and on our way. The staff is always super helpful and courteous. You can't beat the location at Eagle Harbor for getting into the bay and even out to the tip of the Cape. Can't wait for next time. read more

Great customer service, fabulous clean boats and easy rental process. We were scheduled with another company, the day prior to our boating date were told the boat selected for us had maintenance problems and could not be rented, all other boats were spoken for. I had booked months prior as this was for July 5th. Scallop Cove to the rescue enabling us to book on July 7th. With a house full of guests (all ages), coolers packed with goodies and one small dog we boarded a new pontoon. Everyone had a very good time. read more

Boats are very clean and cared for. There was a computer mix up with our reservation due to the storm. The staff and owner did everything they could to make it right. We had an amazing time cruising the bay with dolphins and other fish spinning out of the water. The shop! It was open when we arrived and parked, but closed by the time we got back from the beach around 4:45 pm. Which is a real bummer because the park is open until sunset and today it was at 5:49 pm. There's a restroom at the back. Boats for hire, and lots of outdoor seating. Must Do when visiting the area! Very easy, convenient, and hassle free. We rented the boat for the day and the kids (and adults) had a blast snorkeling, swimming, boating, fishing etc. Bring everything you need for the day (food, drinks, gear), because there aren't any easy on-off spots to grab food. read more
