We stayed just across from Scallop Cove while on vacation in Cape San Blas. They have all sorts of food and desserts (plus other staples you may need on vacation!). I ordered the bbq sandwich a few times during our stay and I loved it. They also serve Bluebell ice cream, including my favorite flavor buttered pecan The staff were always friendly, eager to chat and smile. read more

We enjoyed this cute little stop. Prices are definitely high but I suppose that's expected on such a remote place!

We decided to do a half day bike rental for $23 per person for one afternoon of our stay and we had such a ball! We biked 5 miles around the cape, and stopped to take pics all along the bike path. Totally a fabulous day, I we'll definitely do it again :D read more

Super friendly and laid back staff. Picked up freshly made donuts and a variety of biscuit sandwiches for breakfast and I was a hero for my crew. They also have a great beer selection. Highly recommend for quality food for take away. read more

Super cool gas station/deli/grocery/souvenir store. Nice to have somewhere like this close on San Blas. They also have draft beer and growlers! We first stopped here and grabbed a biscuit. This is the place to be on CSB. The locals hang out here, visitors come and go, some hang out for hours and eat, drink, snack and snack some more. You learn so much about the area by spending time here. You'll leave knowing everyone's name. I've never met an employee who wasn't friendly, kind and eager to help with whatever questions we have. It's a dog friendly place too! I often describe this place to folks who haven't experienced for themselves as a general store, gift shop, bait store, boat rental, liquor store, ice cream parlor, restaurant, craft beer joint that also sells gas. To call it a gas station is as accurate as calling the Great Lakes a mud puddle. We book our vacation rentals based on proximity to the Cove, and we bring every visitor we have straight here to experience it for themselves. We've created so many fun memories in this place and I can't wait to return. read more

This is a convenient place to grab grocery items you forgot about. No one wants to drive 25 minutes each way to go get some cheese when you neglected to grab it while you are at the grocery store. You'll probably only have one mayyybe two each type of item so you can't be picky. But I will happily get an overpriced pack of Kraft singles even though I want some deli sliced swiss cheese. They also have craft beer and growlers! Everyone is nice and friendly, but mask-free so enter at your own risk. read more

Such an amazing place! They have great food that's always fresh, excellent customer service, and a great bait shop. On top of all that, after our van got stuck in the sand, one of the workers here came out and pulled our van out the sand right after making us some 10/10 food. If you're anywhere near cape San blas, you must come here. read more

Outstanding service. Friendly, helpful, patient. We rented three kayaks for the day. Being from Nebraska, gulf kayaking is new to us. Not to mention how to haul kayaks in a suv. But scallop cove employees took care of us. Helped load, tighten down and pointed out where to go, etc. I've now met 4-5 of their employees... all top notch. Thanks for making our trip to Indian Pass and our first kayaking experience so enjoyable! read more

In most cases these days, customer service is a lost art. But NOT for the folks at Scallop Bay. We arrived in Cape San Blas for vacation and stopped here to get our fishing license to go scalloping. They were so friendly and courteous and even took the time to give us hints on where the best place to scallop in the bay and other helpful tips. A few days later I returned with my boys to get them a shore rod, bait and tackle. They had closed for the day, but fortunately for us, they opened the door and waited on my boys to get what we needed for our fishing excursion. Not many places would do this nowadays. I will be returning to Cape San Blas next year, and I'll definitely shop at Scallop Cove! read more

Super-friendly staff! We stopped here a few times during our vacation, and loved the quick service: the biscuits and donuts are delicious! Not your typical convenience store grub. Wish we would have rented our pontoon boat here, too. I saw them side by side next to the other renters at the marina, and their boats are great -- super clean and new. We didn't rent any gear, but wouldn't have hesitated based on the service. Pro tip: Donuts are as good as Weber's with no wait! read more

This place is such a treat for visitors to the Cape who think they're pulling into just a rural gas station/ convenience store. Scallop Cove is so much more. The deli food menu is extensive - usual burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and pizza, but also gumbo, breakfast biscuit sandwiches, sausage gravy, fresh donuts, hand dipped ice cream, BBQ and that Southern specialty, hot boiled peanuts. To wash all that great grub down they also have a selection of craft beers on tap and growlers of beer to go. Fantastic selection of quality wines, with chilled champagne for impromptu celebrations. You'll find groceries, souvenirs, beach toys, hardware and home items as well. Family owned, warm and welcoming, with at least one family member always on duty. read more

After our horrendous experience with trying to eat at Cone Heads, we stopped and ordered food from Scallop Cove. Our food was super fast and very delicious! The owner was so nice and very apologetic for our previous experience. We will definitely go back to Scallop Cove for food again! Oh, and they rent pontoon boats! We rented one for 8 hours on Monday to explore the bay and had a blast! I found a ginormous horse conch shell which was the highlight of my trip! Love, love, love Scallop Cove!!! read more

Me and my family rented a pontoon boat from them, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The boat was very well maintained and had zero mechanical trouble and came equipped with all of the safety equipment, the owner and staff were super friendly. We had our boat get stuck on a sand bar when the tide went out from us, and they came and rescued us free of charge and were amiable about the whole experience. I absolutely can not recommend them enough, there is no one else I would rent a boat from. These people are top notch, you won't be disappointed. read more
