Here's my experience: I booked the $140 package, which included a Nano consultation. I specifically chose this place for their birthday promotion--a free blowout if you came on your birthday. However, things went wrong from the start. The service itself was not bad, but they completely skipped the Nano consultation at the beginning. When I brought it up after the service had started, the tech quickly turned on the machine, showed me my scalp for a moment, and moved on to dry my hair, no analysis or personalized recommendations were provided. When it came time for my birthday blowout, things got even worse. The tech didn't know about it, so she fetched the front desk staff. The front desk lady acknowledged the promotion but said she couldn't do the blowout because she was about to clock out in 5 minutes. She handed the task to the tech, who admitted she didn't know how to do it. The front desk lady then gave a rushed demo with a Dyson and left. I was left trying to do my own hair. Other techs came by, but they said they couldn't help because they were busy with appointments. Even a manager from a neighboring store came over, apologized, and offered me 20% off my next service--but that didn't fix my ruined birthday experience. This service was far below the standard of similar services I've had elsewhere. I had the same treatment done in Thailand, and this was nothing compared to that. No one ensured the birthday blowout was honored, and the lack of organization was glaring. The phone was ringing, no one was at the front desk, and I ended up doing my own hair before leaving--without anyone noticing or resolving the issue. This was supposed to be a special treat, but instead, it was a very bad experience on my birthday. I regret not going to a more reputable salon like Modern Halo in Houston and cannot recommend this place. Also, I was so excited to do a Reel for them with my experience on my birthday, even took lots of videos. Everyone that works there is lovely, absolutely everyone. Once you are checked in, they take you to a private dressing room and you have a towel that snaps, a robe and slippers. There is a gold basket to keep your clothes, undergarments, purse, etc. once dressed, they escort you to your station. I received the Aloe Treatment but I had also said I want it all! LOL! So, I also received a facial. From beginning to end is so a relaxing experience. I was so relaxed that I can't even remember what order to remember. There's a dry treatment where she will comb through your hair. Then, I believe that's when she applied the mask to my face with a cloth underneath. I had some sort of clay mask with a hot eye mask that connected behind the ears (love that!) . There were scalp massages, hair masks, rinsing. There was so much! Oh my goodness, my hair was so happy! At one point she gave me a shoulder/neck massage. Then my arms, hands, legs and feet. Applied lotion. At some point the mask was removed and a second one was placed after she did some eye ice globes (maybe after lol) and there was also a cold eye mask and I believe that was when I was getting the leg and foot massage. Afterwords, you're sat up and get a short back massage, some final pressure on the head and then taken back to get your hair dried. Afterwards you change, go up front to pay (don't forget to tip :)) and they provide you with hot tea. I feel like jello. I told her twice that she wasn't hurting me and could apply more pressure but nothing changed. She got face wash in my eye accidentally at one point which I don't mind too much, accidents happen. But my skin was irritated when I left due to her leaving a gritty textured facial scrub/mask on my face in several areas that she didn't wash off completely. When I went to pay at the end the manager asked if I enjoyed the session and I shrugged and said it was ok but the lady who performed my session was standing right there looking at me in front of a group of other customers waiting to go back and I didn't want to embarrass her or get her in trouble. I sat in the lobby waiting for my friend to finish for nearly 10 mins just the manager and I. I knew she could tell I wasn't so happy and she kept smiling and holding a finger up like she was going to come over to me but then my friend came out and we left without her ever trying to talk to me or refund me anything. I felt like that was a big miss on management's part. My friend had a really good experience and didn't have any of the same issues with her spa therapist so it may just have been mine.
