My one small recommendation would be if they could have a drape or a shade put up on their big picture window in room 212 that leads out to the balcony . It is lovely to look at the lake, but when you're trying to sleep in the living room, it might be a little bright in the morning for some people who sleep on the pull out couch. A shade on that window would be helpful. We will return to this beautiful place!!

The smell in the air of the pine and forest are worth every penny. Each room has a private deck with table and chairs overlooking the forest behind the lodge. Inside the main lodge is beautiful and clean, with a pool table and games upstairs. They also have cabins for rent and an entire house for larger groups. The cost is better than the hotels in town, and for the privacy and quiet, this is the only experience worth paying for. But if you need something, town is only a couple minutes drive. My sweety and I spent our evenings during by the pond, listening to the fountain and looking at the stars. The people here have been incredibly polite, friendly, and as helpful as you could ask for. I understand that ownership has changed hands in recent months, so don't give any heed or negative reviews. These people are not the same. Fantastic place! We HIGHLY recommend staying here. We chose the Nordic Inn based on the two Yelp reviews available. I can't find any evidence of correspondence but I thought I had let them know that it was our anniversary. When we arrived in McCall, it was about 11 am. We inquired of the woman at the counter about early check-in. She really didn't answer, just smiled and indicated that 3 pm was check-in time. It was an odd exchange. We asked about recommendations for restaurants for lunch. She just said "Everything is good". Not much help. When we came back, just after 3, the office was locked and another man was waiting. We stood there another five minutes, wondering what was going on, before a woman showed up, explaining that she was in the laundry room, taking care of a problem. She was nice and cheerful, and got us checked in fairly quickly. We were given a first floor room. Our small window was facing the stairwell. For our anniversary. The room was small but clean. There is a cool glass and metal barn door covering the bathroom entrance. The vanity and bathroom/shower are very small. There was no box of tissues in the room. The shower water pressure is weak. The fan works great. The AC works fine. There is a shortage of electrical outlets, none on my side of the king bed. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The property is located on the main drag, a medium walk from the lake and main downtown area. Dark wood and rustic looking. The parking lot could stand to be repaved. When we checked out, about 10:45 am, there was no one in the office. We dropped the keys in the box. We will definitely return to McCall, but I don't think we'll be back to the Nordic Inn.

The first thing is that this is the only proper to have been to that sales people aren't hounding you and ruining your R&R time. Upon check in the process was very seamless. All the rooms are outside so you will need to carry your bags up to your room if you're on the top floor. Inside while a little dated it was super clean with lots of space. Great small kitchen to use with all the amenities. Also family room is very spacious as well as eating areas. Plus there is a Murphy bed in the living room which sleeps an additional 2 people. They have a heated pool and a jacuzzi which felt great being it was so cold and great place to warm up. In addition a gym located at the backside of the pool. Nice and well equipped for working out and staying in shape while on vacation. This place is also very close to town and an easy bike ride our 1.5 mile walk. We were very happy with our stay and would be coming back again to enjoy this great town.

This Super 8 was way overpriced…read more I get it. McCall is out there and it's a hot vacation spot, but the stay is absolutely not worth ~$170 per night. If you're only here for a special event, maybe that's not a big deal, but otherwise it seemed unreasonable. The staff members were very friendly, I'll give them that. The room was meh. The bed had four small, square pillows, not ones you'd expect for a bed. The A/C was useless. It's 90 degrees out and you put the A/C on the coldest setting, with high fan speed. What happens? It blows cool air for about 5 minutes, then shuts off for 10 minutes. It went back on for 5 and off again for 10, repeating the cycle. The room never had an opportunity to properly cool down. The hot tub was "out of order" and breakfast in the morning was lackluster. They couldn't manage to put one piece of fruit out? Not even an apple or banana? It was 6:30 AM, so I know for a fact that they did not run out. You're much better off supporting a locally run inn/motel nearby. I travel and stay at a lot of Wyndham properties, including all kinds of Super 8 locations, but this one fell below expectation.

We also liked your pet friendly policy. The kitchen appliances worked well. The bathroom towels were nice. We were surprised that the cabin was advertised to sleep 11, 4 adults and 7 children. We cannot imagine where you would put all those people in that cabin. Our party was 2 adults and a dog. The small common space (kitchen, eating area, LR space) seemed like it would comfortably accommodate 4 people, perhaps 6 max. There is only one bath - one toilet and shower space. No 1/2 bath. That's tough if there are 11 in the cabin. There is no storage/cupboard space in the kitchen for dry groceries. At all. Thankfully, again, it was just 2 of us, so we put our stuff on the counter. in the kitchen, there were insufficient dishes silverware, or glassware (seriously, only 6 dinner knives?) for a group of 11. For a big group, maybe they store their extra dry goods in their car and bring in as needed. Same for clothing storage. One bedroom has a small closet and some pegs to hang clothes from. The other bedroom, nothing, other than some weird peg thing on the back of the door. The loft, when I checked it out, had no storage. So, I guess everyone lives out of duffle bags/suitcases. And the loft is a 90 degree hike on a wooden ladder. if your kiddo is less than 4 or 5, you need to assign as older kiddo in case they need to climb down in the night. There is a damaged door to one of the bedrooms, which we later saw mentioned in an earlier online review. The shower had black mold in it, and there was a good deal of grout missing from the tiles in the bathroom. The mini-split aircon-heater when turned on exuded an odor of urine. Perhaps the filter needs to be cleaned more regularly. Most of the windows didn't open. 1 parking spot for the cabin. There was a random dog on the property, barking, etc. Really irritating. The property owners live in Boise. There are no on site property managers.
