Room was clean when we got there. Room is very basic, tiny bathroom, minifridge. We were there for 4 days and no one ever cleaned the room. Glad we brought backup shampoo and soap with us. Tiny towels were never replaced but housekeeping left their cart with fresh towels near an exit so we were able to snag a few extra. Breakfast is nothing exciting but it covers a few basics and it is free. If you need an inexpensive place to sleep for a few hours and something to put in your stomach to hold you over, this is a good place. No frills. read more

I see now why these reviews average 3 stars. Plusses -- a wonderful location within walking distance to a lot of downtown McCall businesses and restaurants. A clean room and a wonderful breakfast buffet. Minuses -- The first night we got there, the room was so dark (not at all like the pictures on the website), and we turned on all the lights. That didn't help much because the floor lamp in the corner was broken. So my husband couldn't read on his side of the bed, and once it got dark, it felt like a tomb. We called the front desk, and they said they couldn't do anything about it until the next day. They couldn't have taken a working lamp from another empty room and swapped them? Really???? The TV was glitchy all the time, so I'm not sure whether that's the fault of the TV or the cable service. Good mini-fridge and microwave, so we could eat some meals in the room. We brought our little dog, and the people next to us the second night were so noisy that she barked a lot. I figured that was their fault for being so loud late at night, and I just let her bark. read more

I'm a bus driver and I brought a group to McCall from Boise area. They selected this hotel. I have no idea about the cost but I'm impressed with the hotel (easy parking for my 45' monster on wheels), very nice, clean and huge room for me + an amazing tub that I just used. I took pics and I want one of these in my house! #1 ... DEEP :) very nice. It's a Kohler! Small complaint... needs a grab bar! Staff is supper pleasant and accommodating... I love this place... will recommend it to groups I take to McCall... very selfishly of course :) read more

Paper thin walls, noisy as can be! You'd think you stayed in a party hotel or one that has families with lots of kids...you can hear every single thing. Even from those who are politely quiet. The walls are too thin. Really horrible experience. Not so clean either. read more

I would hace given this a 5! The inn was quaint. Very cute. Alice was exceptionally nice. The real reason I didn't give it a 5 was because I left my necklace behind and when I called they said the room had not been cleaned. I knew exactly where I left It and the girl who answered said she'd go check. I was positive they would find it. It was a very sentimental necklace. It was from my grandmother and mom and both have passed away, mom just recently. They said it wasn't there. The reviews on this hotel were how sweet and kind and honest these people were. I called 3x. They said they couldn't find it. I am heartbroken and am having a hard time believing they didn't find it. I called just a couple hours after we left and it hadn't been cleaned. Even though this place doesn't have a national chain name, it stands up with all the others. Clean and accommodating. With a short drive from Boise, it's nice to check in early and set a base for McCall activities. We were able to check in at 1pm while it was about 2 hours earlier than the advertised time. Room was clean, beds are pretty comfortable. Pool & hot tub are sufficient. I mean super crowded but my kids loved it! About a 8 minute walk to the lake, my kids are 11, 6 & and 5 and did it with no complaints. The continental breakfast was the best I had. All the usual breakfast stuff, plus today was eggs, biscuits & gravy and of course the waffle maker. (A big hit for my 11 year old.) So basically this is a great family hotel and about $30 (give or take) less than other rooms in McCall. read more

The new remodel is wonderful. The location for this hotel is ideal. You are within walking distance of all the great things to do in McCall. Stay Out of the Hot Tub! I bought a brand-new swimsuit to use the hot tub at the Third Street Inn. After just 30 minutes in the water, all the color was bleached from the suit. Here is manager Freddy Farfan's response to my concerns (quoted directly from his email): "I would take a look at the tags on your suit, not all swimsuits are chlorine resistant. Chlorine will damage many materials commonly used for swimsuits such as nylon, spandex and many others. Polyester suits are what is recommended. That said I do not feel responsible for the damage to your garments." I would advise against using the hot tub at this facility as obviously the chemical levels are imbalanced and can cause harm to more than just your swimsuit. I would also avoid staying there at all given their manager's total disregard for his customer's valid concerns. read more

We travel fairly frequently. We like to use locally owned hotels, but the quality can be iffy. Third Street Inn was excellent. They had an extensive and sensible plan for keeping us safe during pandemic. TSI is a very clean, well managed hotel where we felt safe and cared for. Will use them next time we are in McCall. read more

The location is nice. Away from the heavy traffic. The continental breakfast was okay. The beds were lumpy and the pillows didn't support my head at all. The worst part was the horrendous smell of stinky feet upon entering the room. They covered the smell with room spray when we first arrived. We booked at third street hotel. My kids went to the car to some things and were noisy I guess. I could hear them out the window as our hotel room faced the hotel intrance. I opened the window and told the kids to get up to the hotel room immediately. Then a heard the voice of a lady yelling at them for being noisy and asking me what room we're in. I actually didn't know who I was talking to and wasn't going to give that information to a person who has not identified themselves as being an employee. When the kids came up I told them they were in trouble for being noisy. I went to the front desk and asked the lady behind the front desk if she was the one reprimanding the children. She said yes. I said I was there to find out what happened so I could properly discipline them. She proceeds to tell me that we better not make any more noise and this is our last chance. I explained again I wasn't there to defend the kids and I'm aware they need to be disciplined. She tells me she doesn't care about any discipline just to be quiet and it's our last chance. I then informed her that the room next to us has noisy children too and she tells me I guess several people can't control their kids. At this point I walk away realizing she's very rude and unprofessional. As I'm walking away I tell her I've never met anyone like her in customer service and she responds that she's never met anyone like me. Rudest lady I've honestly ever met. And to think I went down to the front desk to apologize. Her name was Shannon. read more

This is the nicest hotel I have stayed at in a long time. I called the front desk to add a night to our reservation. They said they would take care of it. He immediately called me back and asked if I wanted to add it to my online reservation or have him do it. He said he would give me $10 off from the online rate. The hotel was great. Nice rooms although the bathroom is small. Microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Awesome pool and hottub. I even liked the breakfast. Usually the breakfast is full of sugary bread products. They had a selection of fruit each day and cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, yogurt etc. All the staff were wonderful, from the front desk staff housekeepers, maintenance, and the breakfast staff. After speaking with the owner of the Third Street Inn I am updating my review. He admitted the issues we experience should have been taken care of by the staff and is putting actions into place to ensure they are better trained. Overall the hotel is clean, great location, and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again if the staffing issues are fixed. read more

What a terrible place to stay in! Compare to a few other inns that we have stayed in, this one is not so nice. It looks ok, from the outside, but once you step inside, different story. Our plan was to stay here for two nights. However, none of us were able to sleep the first night, and decided to check out and head back the second day. We stayed at a room on the second floor, and there was a constant banging noise coming from the roof, every 30 seconds or so. I called the service desk, and was told that it might be snow dropping. I explained that snow would not be this consistent. However, it did not seem that the front desk cared very much. read more

Best motel on my California roadtrip. And absolutely cheap - 39 dollar for a kingsize bedroom. Cleanest and best pool on my trip. Nice: They have a BBQ grill for guests and you can make rips at the pool. I can recomment this motel to everyone. read more

Love the staff here! Always friendly and smiling. The manager once told me all the great places to take my son sledding (the free spots) and another staff member was honest on whether or not I should try a certain restaurant. The hotel is always clean (which I am always surprised I never see footprints in the winter), pool is excellent, and I think they have the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. They treat all their guests, both 2 and 4 legged ones, great. I will not stay anywhere else if I can help it. read more

What an absolutely delightful surprise! We had heard it was nice but it was much more than that. Everything about it was classy--from the beds and decor to the toilettries and other amenities. Big plus for the jacuzzi tub in the room and the private balcony. All this for the same price as a Comfort Inn. As a side--the restaurant (which provided a morning continental breakfast including homemade granola) was exceptionally good and very affordable. We loved it! read more

I have stayed here multiple times now, and it seems to get progressively worse. The rooms were decently clean, and the rooms are priced relatively cheap. The service was horrible. Both on check in and out were unpleasant. They did not care about our stay in the least, and they lied about rollaway availability and reservations. And the pool was gross, with floating bandaids and a ridiculous amount of long hair. read more

Had a very nice stay here a couple weeks ago. The place used to be an America's Best but has been renovated and is now the Third Street Inn. Double room was $129 a night plus tax-very reasonable for a resort town like this. The room was great as was the free breakfast! You get what you pay for! The best part of this hotel is the locations for the price. You are in walking distance to everywhere in McCall. But it's ghetto. Everything was very worn out. The towels had holes and stains. The beds were worn and could feel the springs. The pool looked green and dirty. There was gum stuck to the floor near the world's largest grossest hair ball on the floor surrounding the pool. There was a garbage can that was over flowing in the hall way that was across from housekeeping and saw them pass many times. The coffee in the breakfast was so bad, I went to the gas station across the street. read more

If it wasn't for the cheap rates, we never would've stayed here. The people at the front desk were nice people, but when I asked for a replacement room key, they didn't check ID or ask for a name or anything when they gave it to me. I thought that was somewhat strange but that wasn't the worst part of my stay. The hotel room was dirty, there were black stains on the carpet that I think were from chewing tobacco. However, the worst part of the room was my bed. The pillow hurt my neck and the mattress hurt my back, and not to mention the white stains I discovered on both the mattress and the sheets. In conclusion, it's definitely no 5-star resort but if you cannot afford the other nearby hotels this one will suffice. read more

My husband and I honeymooned in McCall five years ago and enjoyed our stay at this hotel so much that when we had occasion to be in the area again we made another reservation online and received a confirmation number. The afternoon before we were to arrive from several hours out of town I received a call that there had been a problem with the computer system and actually had no reservation at all. I even enrolled in the Value Club so could enjoy discounts now and in the future. After calling eight hotels in the area we finally got a room elsewhere. What a hassle. I even called after making my online reservation to get more specific information and was told they were too busy to talk right now and could I call back in twenty minutes. I didn't want to be a bother so I decided to ask my questions when we arrived. Maybe I should've called to sure they had my reservation and then made my inquiries.
