During our stay every night the live ins had friends/family visit and took over the pool and jacuzzi. There appeared to be no security. They only have two bathroom/shower buildings that are open 24 hours with two bathroom/shower units each. In the office area there are additional bathrooms/showers but you can only use them during office hours. The park is conveniently located to downtown and has food trucks Thursday thru Sunday. Staff is friendly and polite but unless they find a way deal with the live ins, it probably won't stay nice. People who live RV parks generally are not friendly to travelers which changes the experience of a vacation.

We returned to Eagle Crest on an Interval International exchange using our Kona Coast Resort unit…read more Eagle Crest is a large project and it's a little confusing about which projects are managed by what company, so I am specifically reviewing the Worldmark Resort property and should not be applied to any other hotels or resorts at Eagle Crest. We have stayed at several Worldmark properties in the past, and this is our definite favorite. First off we were able to fly directly into Redmond from SFO, avoiding a two drive from Portland as that's how we came last time. The airport is small but that's a plus as far as we were concerned, and our Costco rental car from Budget was fine. Our check in was easy and Kiyah was a great rep for Worldmark. We got a text from her a few minutes after we were in the unit asking how things were, and that was a nice touch. The 2 bedroom 2 bath unit was perfect. We own two vacation rentals and live in Kona and are appreciative of a job well done. Everything was immaculate, and it seemed like it had been recently updated. I had called the week before, asking for a unit on the Deschutes river side, and we happily had an end unit with a great view. The gal I spoke with was friendly and let me know that checkin had moved so I had a google map address which made it easy to find. The kitchen had everything one could ask for and more. The dishwasher was the only appliance that needs retirement lol. The bedroom with attached bath and a work desk was excellent. It was relaxing to take a long hot bath in a huge tub after a long flight. We used the Weber grill on the patio three times during the week we were there. The Sisters meat market in Redmond is well worth a visit. One word of warning for people that have problems with stairs: this is a multi floor unit. You enter at one level and go down a flight of stairs to the living room and kitchen and one bedroom with two twins. From the entry you go up a flight to the main bedroom with huge bath/shower and king bed. So there are lots of stairs if you are going up and down from the living room (which is so cozy with the gas fireplace) up to the main bedroom. I'd find someplace else that had less stairs if that's a criteria. I'm typing this as I use the fast 500 mbps (ookala speedtest) internet and we are streaming from our ipad all of our regular addictions. My one complaint, and it is a major one, is the horrible cheap mattresses. There were far too firm, and terrible for both of our backs, resulting in back and neck aches. Perhaps they'd sourced them from a cheap manufacturer, but saving money on mattresses is foolish especially these days when you are judged on how comfortable a nights sleep is. We managed to survive by taking the comforters from the twins and placing them across the king mattress where our hips and shoulders were aching and then got a couple more blankets from housekeeping. It helped, but not enough. We fortunately were staying in an airbnb the following week with a fantastic mattress and the contrast was stunning. I complained about this on our last visit, hopefully with the management change that happened in the summer they will allocate funds to refresh a crucial part of the guest experience, a restful nights sleep. Again, this is a Worldmark exchange and should not be confused with any other property at Eagle Crest. Interval International exchanges have different rules and costs and things like internet access are included. Your experience without being an II member or Worldmark owner may be very different. We exchanged a week in a beautiful timeshare in Kona to stay here and were quite happy. For us, this is one of our favorites and we will definitely be back. Mahalo.

This place treated us like actual people, not just another room number…read more They kept us on the first floor, accepted our cats without making it a huge issue, and the staff was genuinely kind from the start. Not fake customer service nice actually caring. They wanted to know what was going on with us and treated us with understanding instead of judgment. Our car's transmission ended up blowing in the parking lot while we were there, and that could've made an already stressful situation way worse. Instead, they were patient and understanding, even when we had to extend our stay for extra days. That mattered more than they probably realize. The coffee was good enough that I kept going back for more, which says a lot because hotel coffee is usually terrible. The kitchen setup was great too and made things a lot easier while dealing with everything going on. Overall, just a solid place all around with good people behind it.

However the day we were supposed to leave our cars transmission failed and we were stranded. They were very accommodating to us having to get all our stuff from our car and bring it into the room, very kind to be understanding for the extra nights. My kids kept coming down to talk to the folks up front. My youngest enjoyed cleaning the room. We kept it fairly clean. :) One of the cleaners left a note saying how wonderful my kids were :) Very awesome place. Amazing coffee. Had no problems with me grabbing coffee all the time. Lol I lived off it. Good people. Clean hotel. Reliable. I would definitely stay here if your ever in bend. Always met with smiles and understanding.

We were just looking for a decently clean motel, which felt reasonable for the $130 price point…read more After checking in late (11pm, friendly staff but we felt bad because we had to wake him up), we went to the room and it was soooo filthy. We chose this motel when booking specifically because the reviews said it was clean. Uhhh, when we pulled back the sheets a bottle of LUBE fell out! I'm positive they did not change the sheets. There was a LAYER of dandruff and dirt along the headboard and the mattress pad, it looks like they have NEVER vacuumed or cleaned in there. I saw evidence of possible bedbugs. We went and woke the nice worker up again and asked if there was a different room, there wasn't so we just decided to drive home 2 1/2 hours away. I hope we can get our money back. Just for context, I'm a country girl who shovels poop and tosses my own roadkill. I'm no priss. But I'm not about to pay $130 bucks to snuggle up with someone else's lube. This place was next level gross. I'd even be willing to just let them keep my money if they'd pay their workers for some extra hours to do some deep cleaning. They clearly aren't paying them enough.

Really nice campground and my space was HUGE. I love being…read morein the mountains and just relaxing to the wilderness. No loud noises, no city hustle, just peace and quiet. It's right next to the lake where you can swim, boat and fish. They have boats you can rent at the marina. I rented their older pontoon for a few hours. If you love camping in the forest then you will love this place. Only downside is that camping here is a bit more "roughing" it. No electricity or running water at the campsite. There are Porto potties and wash stations in a couple spots and a running water spigot next to the potties. My camping spot got plenty of sun so I had my solar panel and power banks etc, I still work when camping so needed some power for my laptop.

As for the campground itself, it was pretty basic of what you would expect. You get a spot to pitch your tent, a parking space for a car, a fire ring and a picnic table. The fees seem to be pretty standard compared to other spots that are now 14$ a night. You get charged for extra vehicles and will want to bring cash for those fees. The dirt around here is pretty dusty, if you are visiting from a wetter climate, this can make keeping clean a challenge. Luckily there a lake right there. As with most campgrounds like this, it's a good idea to bring your own toilet paper just in case. Normally I would give a campground like this four stars, but since you're right on the lake and super close to a nice restaurant and bar, I would have to give it five. So keep that in mind when staying here.

I stayed at Quinn River Campground for a few days/nights as part of a field trip exploring…read morevolcanics in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon through university in August 2017. The campground wasn't too full when we stayed and had ample space for all of us. The parking spaces for each campsite were decently sized and we were able to fit the field trip vehicles (including school vans) in without a problem. Noise was not an issue here and quiet hours were observed. The campsites has picnic tables and even ground. This made setting up tents easy and meant we had options as to where to set our tents up on a given campsite. Restrooms were interspersed throughout the campground and there was a water pump where we could go to pump clean/drinking water. Crane Prairie Reservoir borders the campground and it a lovely place to sit and stare at the stars, watch the sun rise, and watch the sun set. Chipmunks also occupied the campground when we were there. We came back to our food store one day to find chipmunks had gone after some bagels. Good reminder we shared the campground with wildlife during our stay.
