We literally drove from Buckeye to Mesa for this event. We were so excited to go. Waited in line for an hour. Literally nothing was scary. Employees were very rude. Also, one employee towards the end yelled "you're holding up the line" and then proceeded to make a rude comment directly to us and said "There is alot of weight in that car slowing that car down". We all had our windows down. So basically he called us all fat and said we held up the line because we are all fat. This place is not worth it. Go to the Haunted Car wash on Watson. It's more exciting then that Scarizona drive through. What a waste of peoples time and money. Save the trip and go elsewhere. It is a total rip-off. Rent a scary movie instead lol. read more

So, I decided to take a risk on the drive through portion of this event. I figured it would be pretty silly but its 2020. I paid around 57$ for my wife and I. When we got there on Thursday, we could hardly see the sign to get in. It wasn't lit up and it was next to a skanky message parlor. We passed it the first time and had to go the long way around to get there. We check in and they tell us we need to wait for the car ahead of us to get far enough away. Great! No problem. A few seconds later they wave us in. We drive for a few seconds and we get stopped by a second person. She tells us the event is in Beta and that none of the animatronics have been set up. Would have been great to know that when I paid 57$ to come. She tells us to enjoy the ride and write the "producer on the website" when we get home and that they will give us tickets for next week when the "real" event is live. She didn't inspire confidence and she was right. The entire 20 min ride we saw about 8 people. 4 of them wandered around the car. A couple of them screamed. One woman wanted to eat some babies or something. There was supposed to be alt routes that were not family friendly. The only time we saw the signs for those was after we passed them. For long stretches, 5 or 6 minutes, there was no one. We actually go lost in the dirt and missed about 45% of the event. In the end, we went to where we thought the exit was and it turns out it was the entrance. We almost got hit by incoming cars. The poor kid at the gate looked confused and horrified. He said the exit got moved and it was supposed to be somewhere else and he didn't know how we had gotten there. He told us we should be fine going out the entrance and it was the biggest white knuckle experience of the entire night. When I got home I tried to write the producers but the only email was some info address. Still haven't heard from them. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

This was the worse haunted house attraction I've been to ever. My friends and I go every year to a haunted house and I look forward to that outing every year as I do not get to go out often. We chose Scarizona because it was new and in the east valley (finally we didn't have to drive for an hour). We always buy the fast pass to skip the long cumbersome lines and did so again for Scarizona. Well we found out that "long line" and "Scarizona" sure do not go together. This was beyond short lines though. There were no lines. And even more, there were NO OTHER PEOPLE. Maybe, at most, there were 2 or 3 other groups of people scattered around the grounds. Now I know some may think 'that's awesome to not have to battle crowds' and normally I would too if the haunted house themselves were anything more than, darkness, a few lights, well dressed actors, and walking. Oh and a dangerous metal grated step in the course that is NOT lit and has NO warning. I fell HARD! My friends almost had to help me walk back to the car. Its been a week and my knees still hurt. I'm actually debating going to the doctor to get xrays done. To sum it up, I am very disappointed with the new attraction, the fast pass was worthless and a waste of $10, and the houses were dangerous. read more

Yes we decided to go and try it out because it was an alternative to traditional haunted houses due to the covid virus. I wanted so bad for this to be good. I think it has the potential to be awesome. As for now it SUCKS! Order tickets online, pick a time. Then wait an hour and 45 mins for paintball. The paintball itself is a total rip off. I know for a fact they do not give you 200 paintballs as they say on the website. I had maybe 50, same for my boyfriend and my son had even less I think. They drive really fast through the course. So waited almost 2 hours for less than 10 mins. They are completly disorganized. When we finally got off of the paintball, stood in line for an hour for epic fear. There was only 15-20 people in front of us. The house itself was long and had really good props, but it was not scary. By the time we finished that house it was 11 pm and there was no one at slaughter house. No employees. It was closed from the way it looked. The darkness was the only one left and there was probably 30-40 people in line. The employee told us they were not letting anybody new in line. So our all access pass literally got us one house and a lot of waiting in line. What really sucks is we had to choose one fun thing to do this month, the haunted house or the fair. I could not afford both. My son really wanted the fair. I convinced him to go to scarizona. What a disappointment. A waste of $80 and a very disappointed kid. Do not waste the money. I bought tickets to see the scarizona haunted drive through with my family. at first, i was really upset reading the reviews because of all the one stars. of course, i still went because i wasn't going to let $50 go down the drain. let me just say one thing: i honestly enjoyed this a lot!!! i thought it was the perfect mixture of scary and not scary. it's definitely not a place for people looking to be scared out of their pants, but it's perfect for those who want a few screams and jump scares. i thought the actors were great and i loved that they had us put our radios to a specific station and we got to listen to scary music as we drove through. even my dog had fun!! overall, i really enjoyed my experience. like i said, if you're looking for a terrifying scare, this isn't the place for you, but it's the perfect place for people looking for a low level scare. great job scarizona!! read more

Honestly wish I would've looked at the reviews before going because this was extremely disappointing. Paid $60 to go through the haunted drive thru. The beginning was good, maybe about 3 or four actors then right after the very very beginning there was just decorations and this had to have been a mile to a mile and a half long and no actors for the entire middle part of the drive thru. Not until the very very end was there maybe 4 or 5 more actors. Like I get it might be hard to find actors at the moment but at least spread them out? This is probably my favorite Halloween spot in the valley. This is the second year I've gone, and it was even better this time! They made a new house that was basically pitch black, and we had a super creepy 'guide' with a flashlight who led us through the scares. The other two houses were amazing as well. The actors are spooky and made me jump more than once. They're also super long! The one thing I hate about some haunted houses is spending tons of money for a short walk through, which is definitely not the case here. The rooms have an awesome vibe, and they rely on setting the tone of being genuinely creepy instead of only having cheap jump scares. There was one actor who was actually singing.... it was gorgeous but dissonant and eerie. Super cool touch. The paintball is always fun. It was something that surprised me last year, but was super awesome! It also seems really well organised this year so the lines were shorter. This is definitely not a good place to waste your time or money. A group and I had purchased wristbands for all 4 attractions. We had waited about 3 hours for the zombie paintball only to learn all the zombie actors had quit and left the grounds. By the time we had got to the front of the line and were able to get on the ride there was only 1 zombie. We drove around for 12 minutes shoot some walls and barrels. We didn't have a chance to go to anymore attractions. When asked about a refund they said said they don't issue refunds. read more

Purchased the paintball attraction and due to the field being flooded we were not offered compensation nor an alternative date to participate in that. The attractions were dark and mediocre due to power issues and the door person at the Epic Fear Attraction was a dick. Do not waste your money on this haunted house. Don't waste your money!! Went on 10/16 with four friends. This is our "girls night out' Halloween tradition. We have been to several others in the past including, Fear Farm, 13th Floor and, last year, Rob Zombie's Nightmare. All three were better. Comparing Scarizona to these is like comparing the fort you made in your living room to any Frank Lloyd Wright structure - no comparison. Details: we purchased the "Fast Pass" online to avoid lines (which was a joke, there were maybe 12 people there in total, besides the actors). *Cost = $30 each (minus $2 coupon, plus $2 online fee). *Location - close to the East Valley which is exactly why we chose it - wanted to go somewhere a bit closer this year. Hard to find, dark, though, as the previous reviewer said, they did have parking helpers. *Atmosphere - non-existent. We thought we were in the wrong place when we showed up. The website promotes a "carnival atmosphere" - there was NOTHING there. To be fair, it had rained hard that night, but they should have closed. Instead, there was - no live music, no chainsaw gauntlet running, no other amusements whatsoever. The Beer/Wine place was open and yes, we needed that $5 Bud Light to drown our wasted money sorrows. *The "Haunted Houses" - were a joke. The "blackout one" was actually lighter than the other one. No special effects besides blinking lights (if you've been to the other decent ones in town, you'll know what cool effects are possible). MOST IMPORTANTLY - BE CAREFUL...the floors are uneven and there are STEPS!!! Which are NOT marked. One of my friends totally tripped, banged up her knees and hands. I fell on top of her and cut my knee and bruised it (this is where you step "up" to a metal floor/bridge. Seriously - who makes steps in a dark place with no notice. This is a liability and they are really lucky we were not really injured (and that we have more important things to do than sue them). **Before we entered the second house, I spoke with a worker and one of the owners, Tracy, who apologized for the lack of entertainment (due to the "rain"), but who offered to have us back "VIP Style". While I appreciated her efforts, by the time we fell and got hurt in the second house, we wanted nothing to do with this place/people. Prior to the fall, I had asked Tracy if we could get our "fast pass" money back ($10), at minimum, as the park was clearly not making good on their promotions on line (music, food vendors, entertainment, etc). Tracey's response was "no, we are a corporation, you know." Thus, the "VIP" offer. Sorry, given that the HHs are crummy and completely sub-par quality (for the cost, especially) and that you had the park open with no extra features - we would not waste our time. And please, don't waste yours. We really wanted to support a new business, especially one located in the East Valley where we live, but the level of incompetence and irresponsibility with Scarizona is frightening...and that is about all that was! **Refund our money, Scarizona...or at minimum, make sure you don't have uneven floors and "steps" where people can get hurt. read more

If you are considering the drive thru haunted experience please save your money! They advertise a 20-25 minute drive with 3 alternate routes for mature audiences. A few friends and I just drove through and it took about 5-7 mins. It was a mediocre set-up and there were no alternate routes to be found. First off, when we arrived there were employees guiding traffic with handheld lights, unfortunately they were not separating walkthrough/drive though traffic. Secondly, they funneled traffic through to the drive through haunted attraction from 5-6 lanes to 1. This caused massive traffic, since only one lane was available and the nearest exit was after the drive through of the attraction it opened the attraction to error. A car broke down on the one lane and caused gridlock traffic of what I estimate to be at least 200-300 vehicles. We were stuck in gridlock for 1.5-2 hrs with no way out and really no word on what was happening until we got out and walked to someone. After that and traffic was finally moving we were once again redirected to the wrong area and were told to go back through the drive through attraction. This entire time we had explained to employees we were wanting to go to the walkthrough attraction. The drive through attraction wasn't really worth it and looked mostly like trash they found in the landfill. Again we were finally redirected to the correct parking area, 3 hrs had elapsed by now. We parked went in and they had proper covid precautions and all that. But the haunted houses were lacking. All of them had quite low effort of decoration. Two of them were mostly empty with maybe 3-4 employees rotating around. The third haunted house was actually completely empty and completely dark (I didn't mind this but can see how it can be bad for others). They had a paintball attraction that was okay but wish you could fire more paintballs. There was no food or drinks offered from what I could tell. And all in all we were inside the place for 45-60 mins, mostly waiting in lines. I would say the employees playing characters were very good and interacted nicely, especially the fortune teller. But other than that it was evident that this was a cash grab and the owner/owners don't really care about the experience. It is not worth money or time, won't be coming here again. Hello, My fiancé spoke to several people that work for this company and we are ready to pursuer further action. I had purchased 2 packages the day of October 17th for my fiancé's birthday. One of those packages included paint ball and we were not notified until we arrived that the attraction would be closed. My fiancé and I went with several other people. Since we weren't able to do paintball someone finally contacted us back and advised us that since we were unable to reschedule we would be getting tickets for the light show. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING NOW OVER A MNTH for any type of reimbursement. I am absolutely disgusted that we were promised things and no one ever followed through. I will never be going back to scarizona and I plan on telling all the social media outlets that this company conns you out of money. I also plan on contacting 3 on your side since I know there were several other couples who experienced the same thing as myself. We were contacted by cell phone from a team member who states he would take care of it and has yet to return messages. I will also take screen shots of the multiple emails/text messages we have sent to never hear replies. It was a huge mistake to go here. I saw the mixed reviews for this place, but I had a ton of fun! Definitely screamed quite a few times. My favorite attraction was Startled Darkness. Walking through a place that's pitch black? Super freaky. The door guard for Startled Darkness was super nice and got me freaked out before I went in. I think she's awesome! read more

UPDATE: As everyone can see Allen(the owner) commented on my first review , saying he would like to discuss the issue more. Being that I was super bored in between classes I decided to follow up on the offer and give them a call in the hope of receiving a refund for my friends and I. I called the number and the person who answered the phone asked "how did you get this number". When I explained to him the situation he said "ohh yeah a lot of people have been calling me". Very strange. Anyways the conversation continued and the man(who didn't give me his name) on the phone told me that the scary drive was actually supposed to be run by another company(Halloween night drive) but at the last minute they dropped the contract and scarizona picked it up. He apologized for how terrible it was but still persisted that we couldn't get a refund, but he could offer us a free ticket for reentry(why would anyone want to relive this experience again). I asked why their advertisements were so clearly fake and he also agreed with this statement and said they just took over the last companies Instagram account. He also said that they were so underprepared(almost trying to make it seem like it's our faults for going to this) that they couldn't get enough actors in time for the drive. Also the false advertisements on the various lands you can drive through were from the original company. If they realized they were underprepared or understaffed they should've sent out an email explaining the situation and gave people the option on getting a refund. But instead they hide every negative post on their Facebook and their Instagram to try and get more people to come to their crappy drive through. read more

This is a great place to go to that's in Mesa! I love both haunted houses, there was something always scaring us in each corner! The costumes were scary and actors were amazing frightful! Then to top it off the Zombie paintball shooting was a blast the "troopers" played there roles and made sure we had a great time! I would recommend going to this haunted house! read more

Soo many people were dressed in black and would pop at totally random moments and do the bloody Mary scream. The strobe light made it so hard to see where you to go without tripping.
