This place was recommended by our Airbnb host for their fish fry. We are used to all you can eat frys back in Illinois and the portions to start are big! My hubs got the regular size dinner which came with only two small fish stick looking pieces that were in the greasy side. He said it was just ok. The table over had their walleye and those were huge and looked crisper. We ordered the raspberry cheesecake torte to take back to our place and that was delicious! Fantastic Food!! we found this in yelp stopped on our way to college wrestling meet. (From Illinois) On Friday fish fry and the cod was so good. My husband had the chicken all he said it was the best he had in awhile. It was great the lil he shared. And we had The friendliest waitress she so kind and helpful. Random find while passing through the area, and the homemade tortes alone will make you so happy that you stopped. From the outside, it looks small but there was plenty of seating. Featuring a (maybe too) broad menu, Scenic had something for everyone in our party of six, including kids' meals. The friendly staff welcomed us warmly. The Scenic is a great local spot in Sheboygan. We stopped in for happy hour & dinner not once but twice during Ryder Cup week. The moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed by all! Was very disappointed after ordering here. My boyfriend got the 3 piece Perch dinner & the portion was ridiculously small, not worth the money at all. One piece of his fish was literally the size of a chicken nugget. They could've at least made up for the fish by giving him a pile of fries. Nope. We went here for the rave reviews on the Best Fish Fry in Sheboygan. It was great. I got the blue and my husband got baked cod. The blue gill were fresh and really large meaty pieces. Fried to perfection and it arrived hot. The cod was delicious as well. Hubby just want another piece. The service was good as well. We came from east of Fond du Lac so we don't get to Sheboygan. We will come back again. From the outside, it just looks like a corner bar. We liked the separate dining area. Makes all the difference. Everyone was nice and friendly. Best fish fry! We've been to Scenic Bar for fish fry before, but this was our first takeout order. Great service and the fish fry was fresh and delicious. Also, there was a nice station set up for pick-up orders with with clear signage. I just hate it when you go into a place and have to figure out exactly where to go to pick up your order. Drinks are more than reasonable, the patrons, owners and all the waitstaff are friendly and the food is great. The broasted chicken is to DIE for...seriously delicious and juicy. They also have great events such as their Customer Appreciation events (with awesome raffle prizes...I've won various t-shirts, a large ham, 2lbs of bacon and a Nesco cooker there). They also have buses that run to different events. Try the Chilton Beer Festival for a GREAT time. They also have buses that go to Packer and Brewer games. If you want to feel like you're part of a family, have a great time and spend a reasonable amount of money GO TO SCENIC BAR. Actually...you don't need a reason. JUST GO. We went because the Fish Fry had good reviews - and the fish was good. The perch was done perfectly. However - the rest of the experience was something out of a bad Saturday Night Live sketch. The lighting is fluorescent tubes. The wait staff is in dirty sweats and trades F-bombs with the regular customers, shouting across the dining room. To call this place a 'dive bar' would be too kind.
