Good wings in Sheboygan. Happened to go on a Monday and it was $10 for a dozen! Wings were good size and plenty of sauce choices and a decent beer selection. A few tables sat dirty for the time we were there. The bar tender was the only one working and was a bit frustrated, but hey, we all have those days. read more

This would've been great if they would've cared. We went because they have falafel style wings as an alternative to the fried birds. So what went wrong? The beer that I ordered was out, even though it was still on the chalkboard or sign. Not a big deal. They only had enough falafel for one order, so we had to split an order. Order some falafel, Larry! Your loss, not ours. The biggest annoyance was the bartender, who ignored us at the bar after a while, even though it's maybe six stools wide. Her conversations about how much she pulled in tips that weekend, how squats made her a$$ smaller and other personal nuggets of joy were more important than looking over and multitasking. Granted, it's maybe a part of the dive bar vibe not to care, but I don't want or need to be a part of it. If you don't like me, that's fine, but let me pay and leave. Win win. The wing style falafel is a great idea and was executed almost as well. We enjoyed the hot garlic sauce on it, which was medium spicy. The falafel themselves were decent, though a bit crumbly. The Thai curry were a little spicier then expected. The medium also. But the food was good and cooked well. FYI: At this location you place your order at the bar. Not a bad thing just didn't know. The service on the other hand needs help. They bartender should have helped the cook more to deliver the food fast instead of flirt with the patrons at the bar. These wings are really, really good. I'm by no means a wing aficionado but my husband is and he says he's never had better. This is a total dive bar that is a little dark and a little smelly, but the wings are worth it. Seems like the service/staffing is a little disorganized, like maybe the owner is out of the country or something and they're just trying to hold it all together, but the wings' awesomeness keeps it all under control. There is real flavor here, not just heat. Mild= eat fast and you might break a little sweat like I did. Medium=probably hot for a lot of people but per the husband - a true medium. Raspberry habanero=sneaker heat where you eat three quickly because they are so good but then you need to take a break Garlic Parmesan= no heat, tasty, liked by all If you find yourself in town, come over for a dozen and a beer! When Tommy want wingies and he is in beautiful Sheboygan, I always stop at legend Larry's. This place is a great place to catch the game or simply just catch a buzz. They have lots of local beers on tap and the small town vibe is very apparent here. Even though Sheboygan is no longer a small lakeside town. They have a healthy variety of wing flavors and other deep fried accoutrements. Hot and hot garlic are 2 of my favorites, but don't stop there. They have both sweet and savory on the menu. Legend Larry's is a really divey bar/wings place. They only serve wings and a few appetizers including cheese curds, mozzarella sticks, fries etc. When we went on a Thursday night, the place only had one waitress/bartender, and one cook. Menus are already on the table, we had to wipe the table ourselves, and we had to order at the bar. Don't expect any customer service here. Everything is almost self serve. Not sure if they were short on staff or if its always that way. Don't get me wrong they are really friendly, but you just have to go order your food/drinks/water/pay your tab at the bar. They won't come to you. The wings are big. They were meaty and juicy and packed with saucy good flavor. I chose 6 wings with the hot garlic sauce, and 6 wings with garlic Parmesan. The flavors are listed on level of spiciness. I really liked both flavors. The hot garlic wasn't spicy at all. I think you can definitely handle this if a little spice is ok for you. Less spicy than hot Cheetos. The garlic Parmesan was so flavorful!! It was creamy, cheesy, garlicy and finger licken good! The scary larry has a good vinegary kick to it. Tasted like the hot buffalo so there is some spice to it. The cheese curds were good but you can find way better ones elsewhere. Overall I really like this wing place. Wisconsin people swear by it. People buy these sauces for the home. Always wanted to try it, finally got to. The downtown Sheboygan location. Perfect. Small. Cozy. Order from a paper like sushi. Simple. To the point. Apps: Good prices but you get what you paid for. Literally got 8-10 steak fries in one order. Barely half the basket. Fried pickles? Same. Wings: Crispy. Juicy. Decent size. Can't complain. Sauces: Scary - Damn spicy. Similar heat to Blazin but more bearable. Hot Garlic - Smoky and garlicky. Not bad. Raspberry Habanero - Raspberry DOES NOT belong with anything savory. At. All. Honey BBQ - Weird. It's orange. But it works. Overall it's a decent wing joint. Wings are above par when comparing to chain restaurants. (Although I believe LLs is a chain?) The sauces? Not bad, but can be better. Minus one star for the shit bartender who didn't know how to make a rum and coke, Moscow mule, or gin and tonic. Literally had to ask his boss. Smh. Went in at around 6pm yesterday. Ordered half an order of Hot and half an order of Hot Garlic with some Potato Munchers. As we waited, I ordered a Three Olives Bubble Gum Vodka with Lemonade for $2.50. Wow. I am now a huge fan! And how can they serve drinks this inexpensive?! Love Sheboygan. This is a perfectly solid place to get some wings. Apparently this is a chain, but I've never been to any of the others, nor had I even heard of them since I'm not from the area. I was excited to try them since I was staying within walking distance, and I do love me some wings. I was expecting it to be more "restaurant-y" and less barlike, more like BWW's. But that wasn't a big deal. Once my girlfriend and I caught on that it was a bar, we seated ourselves and figured out the whole ordering-by-filling-out-a-card thing. I really like this idea, it cuts down on my awkward social interactions for the day, which is always a bonus. It's okay looking inside, like most other sports bars. But what made it weird for us was how absolutely empty the place was. We went in at a pretty decent meal time, and found that it was our two top, a group of four, and one guy sitting at the actual bar. It was too quiet for comfort, and it felt a bit awkward. I could hear everyone's conversations, so no doubt they could hear mine too. But, whatever. There's rushes and there's slow days, so this wouldn't turn me off from going again (though maybe I would go a bit later in the night). Now for the actual food itself. It was perfectly adequate; nothing spectacular, but nothing horrible either. Between the two of us, we got two Mike's Lemonades, an order of boneless Garlic Parmesan wings, an order of mozzarella sticks, and an order of cheddar nuggets. We didn't have any complaints. Everything was cooked okay, but tasted average. I've had worse and I've had better. We finished all of our food, and we thought it was reasonably priced. We agreed that maybe we'd come back to watch a game or something, but we probably won't be randomly dropping in again. I'd rather go to another wing chain nearby for a meal. read more

Stopped by for a late happy hour with wings. Place filled up quickly after 6pm. Only one bartender and one cook but service wasn't bad considering there were only two guys working really hard. You walk in and order on a sheet of paper and turn it in to the bartender then the cook brings out you order and calls your name. Bar is small, only 8 seats so we sat in dining room. Half of dining room was flooded with sunlight so we moved and then our table was super cold under the vent so we moved again. But nice atmosphere overall and big screen tv to watch brewers. We ordered wings, sweet Thai chili and mild were great; ordered honey bbq but not sure what we got, tasted kinda like a honey mustard buffalo - was good nonetheless! Local Sports Bar Serving Really Good Wings. Nothing fancy, but plenty of big TV's and wings about 200% better than BW3 (which is admitedly a very low bar to get over), with full bar service. In addition to wings and all homemade sauces (nothing out of a bottle), they have pretty decent fried sides (curds, mushrooms, etc) to go with. This is not healthy eating, but it is very tasty and pretty lite on the pocket book. Not a huge beer selection, but decent and not just miller lite. read more

My daughter walked in for a pick up order for us- name was called so she walked up to grab the food and the manager told her to get to the back of the line, well several customers later my daughter told her she was there to pick up the order & she said handed it off to someone else 5 minutes ago. That person ended up coming back with the food because it obviously wasn't his and they gave me the food he left with- the same wings the other customer left with! I can not believe someone working in food service would think its appropriate to give food to a customer after it left the building with someone else. Needless to say, waste of $35 as we didn't end up eating the wings. Some of the best wings I've had...so many different sauces to choose from. Always have to end my days at lambeau by stopping by this place on the way back to Milwaukee. I wanna say it's the original, but I'm not too sure. Personable staff, very nice and attentive. You order your food on a slip and then give it to the bar and pay there. My favorites would probably be their hot garlic and garlic Parmesan, but you really can't go wrong with any of the choices. Almost a guarantee that I'll stop here every time I'm in Sheboygan. read more

We stopped here on the way to Door County because it was listed as a historical bar in a book I was given. ("Bottoms Up: A Toast to Wisconsin's Historic Bars and Breweries") So we went to see the bar and discovered it was a great wing place. We ordered the medum as I believe they said they recently won an award for that sauce. All they have is wings (and some sides) and you check off on an order,how many you want, with what sauce and with whatever sides you want. I had a Ale Asylum Hopalicious on tap. Very tasty. The only drawback was the time it took to get the wings considering it was the only item on the menu. Went here under the suggestion from a coworker. He said the wings were one of a kind. So it took me a year, but I was finally able to stop by here. I think he may have over hyped it though and my expectations weren't that high cause personally I'd still prefer like Hooters or something over this. But here we go. So I tried the honey bbq, hot garlic, and hot. honey bbq was really good. Had a different taste than the usually honey bbq which was nice. The hot garlic I didn't care for at all. Taste was barely there and was a little got. Hot was pretty good, but it was already too hot for me. But it's your typical buffalo style hot. Goes good with ranch. Got 2 extra wings in one of our orders which was nice, sucks that it was the hot garlic though. Someone in my group ordered Scary Larry and he started crying half way through eating it. I tasted just the sauce and it was already burning my mouth. It had really good flavor though. I also had one of the spicy bacon bbq and I didn't really care for that. Maybe I didn't have enough sauce but I couldn't really taste the bacon. Also got a side order of sweet corn nuggets which were pretty good. Place is kind of small but it has a downstairs which is pretty much a 2nd bar. TVs everywhere so it's a nice sports bar. Guess everyone has to be 21 when you come in since they check all of our ids. Guy behind the bar was nice though. Really loud but friendly. It's not waiter service though. You fill out a order form and bring it up to the bar and then they'll make it. Have to go up if you want refills on your drinks too which I didn't like but it seemed like he was the only one in the front and only 1 guy was in the back so he couldn't really leave the bar. Wings night done right! I used to go to Buffalo Wild Wings all the time before I moved here. This place is just like that with out all the glitz and glamour and big price tag. They do everything right. Good environment, good music, TV's going and a fun staff. Drinks are made nice and stiff, appetizers come out overflowing and hot and the wing selection is just awesome! The most unfriendly employees ever! Ordered wings to go and went to pick them up only to find out that when you order on line you have to drive to the Sheboygan Falls location, we live 3 blocks from Legend Larry's in Sheboygan. Got attitude from the employee when we asked how we were suppose to know that and asked for directions on getting to their location in Sheboygan Falls. I know I reviewed the Manitowoc location a few years ago. I was not a big wing's fan. Some friends got me to try again. I have eaten here twice in the last month. The wings have been cooked to perfection with a crispy crust. They are season perfectly also. I don't care for heat so I get the parmesan garlic and the thai sweet chili wings. The delivery was actually fairly quick, which I was surprised about, given people on other reviews complained about the service. Unfortunately, did not love the wings. They were done well, but the sauces left something to be desired. Tried a taste of husband's honey BBQ sauce, and it had a really funny taste. I got the hot garlic, and it really wasn't that hot. I was thinking it would be a sauce that tasted like it was made with Frank's red hot sauce, and it wasn't. It was more like a cross between a bbq sauce and a hot sauce.
