The rooms are quaint and have everything you could need for a short stay. Slept better here than I do at a regular chain hotel, and it comes with GORGEOUS lake views and access to a massive front lawn. Have yet to be here when the restaurant is open, but I'm now on my third stay for work and am so glad I found this gem. If you're here on a day where the restaurant is closed, be aware there are very few local restaurants and meals may require a 15-20 minute drive away.

When we arrived, they were very transparent that they were working with a small crew, just two girls out front and one guy in the kitchen. She handled our entire group with so much grace and professionalism. She kept everything organized, made sure the kids' food went in first, stayed on top of drinks and orders, and somehow managed to get all 30 of us taken care of and on our way in great time. The bartender was also incredibly nice and helpful, and together they kept everything running smoothly despite being short-staffed. The food did not disappoint either! The Reuben, burger, and Reuben burger were all fantastic, and of course the boys loved the wings and boneless wings. If you're visiting Cooperstown or heading to the Baseball Hall of Fame, definitely make Cooley's Stone House Tavern one of your stops. The indoor vathrooms were pretty small, but served the purpose. The music was very good, the sound was loud enough, without blaring out of the speakers. There's a roof over the outside deck, but it's in different sections, so the sun does shine though in areas, making it a little hot when it's hitting you. Our only complaint would be the amount of people that were smoking. There is no way to get away from the cigarette smoke wafting in your face. Other than that, it seems like a great venue to enjoy some live music, a drink and a bite to eat. We definitely plan on going back.

Eventually, an older woman came around the corner and asked her to come over and help us. The bartender rolled her eyes and then made a very inappropriate gesture, pretending to put a gun in her mouth with her fingers, before walking over to us with a smile as if nothing had happened. My husband and I own a bar/restaurant ourselves, so we completely understand that everyone has bad or frustrating moments while working in this industry. But I felt like this was completely unacceptable behavior, especially right in front of customers. It's certainly not something we would accept from someone working in our establishment. We had our drinks and left shortly after. It's too bad because the tavern seemed like it could have been a really fun place to spend the night, but after witnessing that interaction, we were completely put off and didn't feel like staying.
